Does that security light stay on the dash when security system is bypassed? Also do you have to keep repeating this process everytime you normally start the truck or just only when you had to splice the wires?

So if you bypass the security why did you have to do the sequence to reset it if it was bypassed and you only have to do the sequence once most of the time

my issue is I get not crank or anything from my 00 s10 2.2. while turning the key to start I have no power to the "S" wire. I replaced the Ignition switch but still nothing

Check your engine fuse. 40amp

Probably if the wiring is the same. It worked on my 1998 Chevy 3500.
