I bought one of these kits a while back. It was the Neewer 50-1 and cost something like $30-$35. Overall the quality is pretty low, but what these kits are good for is giving the user a broad experience with different mounts, accessories and other GoPro add-ons. It helped me to see what I really liked (ex: Head mount vs. chest mount). Then once you determine the 2-3 things you really like you can invest in more quality products from GoPro, SNAP mount, etc…
I bought the same kit as you a while back and my pieces all broke within 2 weeks of light use
That's a solid perspective on it Chad! For 30 bucks, you get to test a lot. I will say that the quality of the little plastic bits has gotten significantly better. The mount pieces and tripod adapter bits are all on par with OEM GoPro gear. But the larger pieces are super cheap in relation to the real deal stuff

Thank you for your review. It was good to see what you had to say about the kits. I do use the dive case on my truck. ie mirror, mudguards and on back of trailers. Any where it can be very muddy, dusty or it just going get hit by something. Keep up the good work I always enjoy your videos.
I have that 30 case. It's worth pointing out those mounts can be useful in other situations... I have one of those "round" gopro mounts as a headphone holder on the wall (never fell in a couple of years). Never found a use for the "tripod", though, but still hopeful!
Tnks, about year ago I wached your video and bought SeaSucker 4.5" Vacuum Mount- its awesome. I drived about 1000 km with it on out side my car and it never falled. My longest drive was about 700 km and still ok. Now I use Insta 360 1 inch with it
Entertaining as always! If one is using a GoPro along with other cameras, I will never understanding ever using GoPro mounting hardware. I've replaced my GoPro feet with 1/4-20 adapters so all camera use the same mounting system (falcam) - I noticed you slipped one in there, too.
I am going to surf next week next week and just bought a Gopro. Could you do a video for the accessories I would need ? ,)
i would probably use the housing not for diving but for other extrems like putting it on a bike for downhilling or when i put my gopro on the outside of the car

I've Been Using the old Thumb screws all Winter and I haven't had a problem with them. I tried to torque screws but they don't fit the best with the media mod.

Great video. I actually just ordered the Husiway kit and found your video haha. Very informative and although seems like you don't recommend it - I'm brand new to GoPro and some of the accessories may fit my needs on a budget.
Mediamark sold out their own Gopro 50 in 1 accessories kit a couple of weeks ago for $10
was about the same quality as these. However, some accessories looked like they belonged on the gopro 4.
I paid $39.99 for the Husiway kit. Extremely happy with what I got for that price.
I lost a GoPro 3+ Black while using the Velcro Wrist Strap while ocean swimming. The camera looks to have popped out of the holder in the wrist strap while I had the strap affixed to a swim buoy and I did not have a floaty affixed to the camera. So, I do not recommend those Velcro wrist straps for situations where you can lose the camera.
These kits are like for 13$ here in India & tbh I really love these.
I wouldn't trust them with crucial things like an underwater cage or suction - but other things like the chest mount, & the bolt on mount - I am pretty happy and use those all the time.
PS - Lost my gopro max thanks to a failed suction mount sticking out of my car, so I got a better one for that now to go with my Action 4 :)
Bought a similar kit years ago. Its basically junk but Ive used alot of it with random one time shots. No sense spending alot if your not using regularly.
This is a great video, David. If someone was new to the GoPro world, I think this would be a great place to start. After you’ve been using them for several years, you kind of find the ones that you really like and you don’t mind spending the extra money for a better quality one. I wouldn’t trust most of those in situations where my GoPro is really at risk. But still, decent value for $30

You should always have a safety strap on every suction cup you use on the outside of a vehicle. It doesn’t matter how well that suction cup is have a safety strap.
I have the 30$ and it is the perfect starter. the suction mount sucks AFand the selfie stick too. , the tripod if you lock the ballhead with the superlight weight of the GoPro it works better than you think and with a phone mount it works better than expected. For me was real good starter point, as after that, I slowly updated the accessories.

Do all GoPro accessories fits in GoPro 11?
My suction cup mount (not from a kit) broke recently while I was on a road trip. I am still looking for suggestions for a replacement.
I actually gaff taped the Snapmount lanyard to my dash and stood the Gopro on it. Stayed in place really well.
Dave Maning did another video 2 years called "THIS GOPRO MOUNT SUCKS!!! And I Love It" and he looked at a "SeaSucker 4.5" pump mount" used for mounting bikes, but had a tripod 3/4" mount which I see is $62... the nice thing is the pump is also a pressure indicator, so you can see if it losing a seal and "tighten it up again." I see Ulanzi has more camera specific version for $50... that's what I would go for today (caveat I haven't personally tried it).
(I have the PGYTech version in the other video... it's ok, it stays on for a few weeks/months... but does fall off occasionally).
Lonerider is talking about the Seasucker Suction cup that is really good! But I've also been playing with the F22 suction cup mount from Ulanzi with the quick release arm and it's pretty incredible so far geni.us/DMF22Suction

Highly recommend buying official GoPro mounts unless you have no idea what mounts you like for what you’re going to capture, this video does not express how low quality these bundles actually are. So if you’re a beginner this kit is good if you want to learn what mounts you like making your moneys worth when you buy the quality GoPro version (as one comment stated). I would not trust a $400 camera on something that costed a couple cents to manufacture.

Man, I would LOVE to, but DJI didn't include me on their mobile gimbal launch. Matti Haapoja made a video on both though and if you watch them both, I think he unknowingly makes a case for the Insta360 gimbal. More compact, simpler to use, built in tripod, and better software tracking. Again, I haven't played with the DJI version, but I'm sure they're both pretty amazing. Both companies are making such good stuff these days. Which is awesome for all of us as users!

The dive enclosure might not be great for deep diving, but it would work just to keep sand out of the GP on the beach. Can't have enough bobbers! Lol!
Solid point Stephen! The only bummer is that the dive case pretty much removes all audio pickup. So if you need that audio, go naked on the beach👍

My uncle has some of these and new uses them. I tried them once and they broke just clipping them in. Don't do to cheap on mounts

14:34 Selfie stick "It works, it will get you by..." Not true. Mount a GoPro on it and usually the first thing that selfie stick will do is rotate so your GoPro is hanging upside down. Selfie sticks without that central groove in them tend to just flop upside down because they are so cheap. So cheapo selfie sticks are actually one of the worst parts that come with those accessory cases.
I bought one of these packs and my opinion is that I got enough out of it to justify the price. Some wheat, a lot of chaff. :-)
I think that's my hope for this video, to set people's expectations to that sentiment. If that's the expectation going into it, I think it's a worthy $30 to spend

To be fair with the cheaper selfie stick, its waaaaaay lighter than the more expensive more "robust" selfie stick AND gopros have crazy stabilization. The cheaper one is better imo

DO NOT BUY ANY KIT LIKE THIS!!! I bought a kit 2-3 years ago that was the exact same as this one, but from a "different company". All pieces of sh*t, I ended up selling it to some random dude on facebook for $5, lol. Seems like a lot of people in the comments did a similar thing. If you are starting just buy the things you actually need, or save that $30 for a better tripod. I ended up rewatching the video that made me find David 4 years ago called "ULTIMATE GoPro Accesories Guide" and got the best recommendations there so do that for ideas.
This is almost criminal to sell them! It looks impressive, but it's crap. Cheep plastic! Once you use them, you realize. They don't stick together, so you screw harder and they broke. The real stuff is made of polymer, like guns. And most important, they fit together (screws) and thy don't get rusty. The product is aimed for beginners. As soon, you get "involved" you start to curse!!!
