TennisMaster I bought this case about a year or two ago. It has been amazing for me. I am someone who doesn’t shoot with GoPro daily. If you are like me and are interested in this stuff for a trip or experience and not for a career then definitely. Even career wise, this can definitely be a good start.

I got a cheap camera for £26 and got a bunch of these accesories with it, ordered my GoPro 8 after it came on deal because the camera sucks and using the accessories are extremely unreliable. I would rather pay the 1 month(or free first month sub) to gopro plus for the 50% mount discounts deal be cause the plastic is of a higher grade and they are machined to pass higher quality standards.

That suction mount is actually pretty good if you're sticking it to stationary glass. I use it to stick my GoPro to the glass for my hockey games and I haven't had any issues with it using it that way. Also, can confirm that the yellow floatie works.
I got this set this week. Used the tall mount on my bike, bumped it slightly and it shattered inexplicably. Got two hairline cracks on my back screen (luckily out on the bezel) the first day I had my camera. Great kit but don't fully trust the durability of the plastic. Great videos David. Keep em' coming.

Bought one of these kits with even more accessories. All work great. I simply glued the foam insert to the sides of the case then it worked fine and it does fit the Gopro and some major accessories quite well.
Genius idea glueing the foam in place!
Bought this set when i first got my GoPro. Only use like 30% of the stuff. Still worth it for the price. Also, the tripod was the first to break...
My tripod broke the second day of using it but everything else works great

The bike handle bar mount was the first, day 1, to crack in half on my primary bike. Bought another one and it didn’t even fit on my other bike.

I actually bought this when I got my gopro last year! I love all of the things that came with it, and then I ended up buying some of the ones from your other go pro video, like the 3 way pole and the joby suction mount...best of both worlds!

I use my wrist mount for roller coaster ride and snorkeling .
I've used mine the same way but I don't like the wrist one because it rolls to the side easily. I've bought another type over the palm hand area.
I took my GoPro zip lining with a cheap wrist mount. When I got to the end of the line I smiled for the camera only to see it was gone! The bit that spins around had popped out of the strap and taken my GoPro down into the dense forest below.
On the 4 km walk back up the hill we spotted my camera just sitting next to the path!

I do agree with the lower rated items. I had issues with with the mono-pod, suction cup mount, and the adhesive pieces more then the rest of the items. The chest mount, head strap, and extra mount pieces work WONDERFULLY!!!!
The suction mount works great! Attatched it to my mustang on my bumper and it held to a high acceleration.

I've put one of those suction mounts on a polaris rzr and went offroading with it. Didnt give me any problems.

I bought the cheaper kit and like it just fine. It came with more bits than I will ever use! For the price it's a no brainer, just buy it. And the quality is fine, it don't really matter whose name is on it since it's all made in China.
I found GoPro hero 4 + accessories on eBay for 16$😲, WHAT??
The wrist mount is good for snorkeling at night, you can put a waterproof light on your left wrist. If you put your GoPro in the ocean on a wrist mount make sure to make a lanyard with a string and secure it to the screw mount. In many of those wrist mounts the mount itself can come off if hit by a wave.
Just got one this week, totally worth it. Plus it’s kinda cool that you can mount the tripod and the monopod together
It’s at least a good way to introduce yourself to mounts and see what you’d like and use cheaply
The suction mount in the kit is meant to only be for the inside of your car - it shows it on Amazon
Been researching action cams and had almost resigned myself to getting something second tier, like an Akaso, because I couldn't handle the expense of both a GoPro and even a starter pack of their accessories. I had actually stumbled on the the Neewer kit and wishlisted it on Amazon prior to finding this video. So imagine my amazement to find your review of that exact kit, and my further amazement to find that the bits are decent quality. So it's gonna be GoPro (and Neewer) FTW! Thanks!
I've seen rock climbers use the wrist mount for crazy POV! I've used the super sketchy extend-a-pole while scuba diving before I got the tri-fold. The janky one in the kit works well, vibrates when selfie-ing while swimming, but very less intrusive when getting close to lobsters & other hidey-hole critters 🦞 Rusts easily, even after fresh water rinses. Otherwise, cheap works well for non-extreme play. Fun video review!
I just brought a GoPro8 for “Christmas” and was going to get some accessories but decided to do some research on which I I really need so I wouldn’t spend hundreds of dollars or stuff. This video was perfect. I like that you went through everything and gave honest opinions and more importantly compared with the GoPro website prices. Loved how giddy and truly excited you got as you went through more items; like a kid on Christmas. I ordered one

The floatie is the best thing ever. I use it for snorkeling and all water activities. More sturdy than the other parts.

Got the same kit, it’s great for beginners just to try it and know what exactly you’re gonna be using in the future. Also when pick your best accessories, get GoPro plus for a trial period to get 50% discount on authentic mounts with much better quality, because these are cheap and won’t last long. I 💯 agreed, I got this set 3 years ago and I still use it all to this day, but my set isn’t quite as good as this one as they have improved them slightly

I have this kit and use it fairly often. The accessories that you pointed out that were the weak links (Monopole, floating grip, suction cup mount) are the ones I never use. Otherwise everything has held up great and worked well for me. Btw, I don't go like skydiving with my GoPro, buy I do fairly strenuous things.
I would buy the cheap kit and take my chances
That clamp and a GoPro in a frame is my most used mount. I put it on the bill of my baseball cap and also on my backpack strap.

I used the wrist mount when I hiked the Grand Canyon, in Saint Maarten on a snorkel trip and in Hawaii when on a snorkel trip.
That's an interesting use! I can totally see how it would be a cool angle while snorkeling!
I have a similar kit and I also got the cheap case with horrible foam. As a cheap storage idea, I put my pieces in small zip lock bags and labeled it with a sharpie what it was. Makes it more waterproof and easy to identify.
Yeah...I pretty much use the suction for the inside of the car when I use the Insta360 or GoPro as a dash cam and its held up for a little over 3 years and counting. I also bought one of these bundles on Amazon and the mounts haven't broken on me like the GoPro branded ones. If it does though, its like you said..."Oh well" its cheap enough to not care. I've been using this kit for a couple months now, mostly the chest mount for mtb and motorcycling. So far so good. Nice video! I'm having an issue with sun glare with my Hero 8. I've had a lens protector on it like you suggested and was thinking maybe that's causing it or making it worse. What do you recommend for reducing glare for mtb POV footage? Should I buy a filter kit?
Ive had this "neewer" kit for a few weeks before I saw this video but it works great. you cant beat it for the price. like you I don't know that I would trust the suction cup mount on the outside of a vehicle but it is perfect for the inside of the windshield to use as a dash cam mount for the gopro. excellent review. i'll be subscribing thanks

The bad thing about those Amazon mounts is the chrome nut where the GP thumb screw goes in... usually pops out. In your backpack, it comes out, you loose it, then the mount doesn't work.
As a Fishing/camping CZcamsr, this kit was a huge save. The chest mount alone makes it worth buying the kit. The clamp was handy, but I abused it by trying to clamp it onto my canoe and it broke. The monopod lasted just a couple camping trips before it broke. The one downfall with the chest mount was I lost a Hero 5 while I was white water canoeing and we flipped (had another camera rolling, luckily).
How did the chest mount break while canoeing? Did the actual mount break?

The threeway mount screws rust very easily. But when a piece broke on my oem threeway mount it was sufficient to buy the other one for spare parts.
With this it is like with every “cheap” tool or accessory set.
You buy it and if the most frequently used stuff brakes one can replace it with pricier version of the same tool with better build quality. And a given bonus is, if the quality is already good you just saved money.

It’s been an entire 2 days that I haven’t bought anything on Amazon. I was going for 3 days to make it a new record for me, but even though this is now up $26.95, I couldn’t resist.
I know thatI'm late but to anyone thinking of buying this, go for it but do NOT use the clipper mount that slides into the sticky mounts, I used it on the chest mount and lost it in a lake about 4 months ago at an aqua park, just got it back though.
I love my head mount I haven’t used my chest mount yet on my channel some of it is cheaper and does break but for the most part it is well worth it

I lost my first GoPro last week surfing. My fault. What I miss is the old-style chesty. I mean really old. Foam covering that hard plastic. It made for a great POV surfing mount around my neck/upper chest just by a couple alterations with velcro straps. Anyone got one of those old ones they want to sell? I've been waiting for it to go flat so I can go out and look for it. Shallow reef break.

@@jackarrow-journal5317 I had it around my neck on a chest harness I rigged to be up at the neck. It was a small day so I didn't secure it all the way and a weak wave came and I decided not to go and I let it roll over my back and it lifted the harness off and it disappeared.
When secured it works great even in heavy surf.
Now I add a small bright orange silicone jacket and safety line just incase I get careless again.
I brought it out for the sunrise that morning.

ive had 3 of the joby suction cups and on all of them the balls inside have disintegrated after like 2 or three uses
I’ve had that happen as well, but usually after about a year. Check out the PGYTECH video i posted recently! Their suction mount is the best I’ve found!

Had the Joby suction cup. Literally two them fell apart after using them one time. Those little rubbers balls came apart. Went to the PGYTECH suction mount

@@DavidManningvlog yep! always zip tie like a chain of zup ties. Saved me a couple times. If it disconnects from the mount it keeps hanging from the zip ties!

Quick note on the raised and regular mounts, the the lack of locking rubber combined with the plastic quality, makes it that the locking arms are easy to break so I would reccomend using the original gopro ones unless ya want to risk your camera falling , haven't found other faults with this kit besides that and the suction mount falling of my windshield while recording, after a good old lick, it's a solid stick and did not fall again, just have to clean the window after.
