The difference is that your body mass is working mass whereas the mass of your bike is dead mass. Because your body produces power (your legs specifically), it can be viable to weigh more by having more muscle to output more power. However, a heavier bike does not increase power output, so there is no advantage to a heavy bike. In short, being heavier can give you a higher power output, but your bike being heavier cannot.
I remember when oval chain rings were popular on mountain bikes and hybrid bikes but I've never seen them on a road bike. They used to say that oval chain rings caused knee injuries but I don't know if that was ever proven.
The Hambini videos on their bullshit ceramic bearings and derailleurs are gold. Several hundred dollar mark ups, worse components than stock, worse performance than stock, and non-carbon plastic extruded parts being sold as "carbon"... Entire company is a scam. Would never buy from them on principle

The newly designed ovals are similar in that the difference is negligible if even noticeable at all to some people. Only thing I find which could be completely false is that in technical climbing scenarios the power delivery seems smoother which results in better traction. But that could certainly be a placebo affect
The only things I use are pliers 8inch, long nose hammer, allen tools, flat screwdriver, screwdriver I know this is not really used for mtb bike but I don't have any good tools to buy so that if something breaks I can fix it one and I will not go far to make and pay them

Yeah I bought some decks ones to try . The timing is wrong and you can feel the ramp up. Absolute black have it spot on and you cant feel it's an oval.

Confusion ensued, the orders weren't fulfilled on time... so I ended up with 4 chainrings and one of those is something called VXM. I'm tempted to install it and see what happens.

Then I took the crank apart and installed for a laugh. That ab chainring setup is great I would buy for mtb but the only make the narrow wide rings and my monstercross and mtb are doubles and triples. And I ain't going back to a 1x setup on any bike as I ride to my trails. The Dekka ring went on the mtb for a try and in every orientation it was worse than a round one. It's been sitting in a box since before covid.

Cannondale has a similar chainrings and they flex in sprints causing the chain to pop off. Not sure if this will happen to you but wanted to give up a heads up.
That’s hilarious if that’s true 🤣. I’ve only purchased their chainrings and so far have had good luck with them on all my bikes. I’ve got hundreds of miles on them. If one does end up catastrophically failing I’ll prolly swap them all out for something else tho

The new ovals have a different orientation than biopace, it helps to eliminate the dead spot at the top of the stroke, you feel it most on really steep loose terrain, makes you feel like you have one more gear, low low cadence is more comfortable when needed

Yeah it’s a little silly. I didn’t change this chainring for the weight savings tho. I just put the weights in the video for more info. I swapped this chainring because I like oval chainrings.
Money would have better spent buying a lighter crank, probably not much more than the ring itself especially second hand
Agreed. But I didn’t change out the ring for the weight savings, that was just an added bonus. Primary reason was for the oval ring

How many teeth?
It’s a 42 tooth. Same as the one I took off. I’m happy with the gear range as is.
