Eddie was one of my favorites when I was a kid. I'd get up early and play him and the Everly Brothers. My older sister was the source for all these great rock and roll records. I've still got all the original vinyl.

The guitar work on this song is absolute marvelous. The song is more popular now than it was back then as it only mustered a #35 peak. Eddie would be gone in 14 months, how tragic. I envy those people who saw him performing live as I was just 5 at the time.

I take note of the simple fact that MANY of the most sucessful rock & roll tunes/bands had a saxophone OR a prominent organ, harmonica, or accordian. One reason for Cochran's sucess was his moves, gestures and style similar to ground-breaker Elvis Prestly. Great song. Cochran's loss was ours too.

I was introduced to Eddie's music in the 60s by an uncle and love it as much today as I did then.
