Pizza Crust Recipe:
Combine 1 Cup warm water, 1 Tablespoon Yeast, 1 Tablespoon sugar. let stand for 10 mins, or until the yeast blooms. Add 3 Tablespoons of Olive Oil.
in a separate bowl, combine 3/4 tsp salt & 2 and 3/4 cups flour. mix in liquids & knead. bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 mins.
BBQ Chicken Pizza
Sauce: 1 Tablespoon Butter, 1 Tablespoon flour, 1 cup whole milk, salt to taste, 1/3 cup Bbq sauce
melt the butter & add flour. cook for 1 minute, than whisk in the milk. Stir constantly until smooth and slightly thickened. remove from heat and add bbq sauce. Add to pizza crust, top with precooked chicken, onions, and jalapenos. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top. bake using the temps & time listed above for the pizza crust.
Chicken Alfredo Pizza
add homemade or store-bought alfredo sauce to crust. top with precooked chicken, onion, green peppers, & parmesan cheese. bake using the temps & times listed above for the pizza crust. Enjoy!

Kim, you always bring a smile. I love your thoughts on hospitality. When you brought in a whole basket of eggs, I had to laugh at the memory of an earlier video when you were 'impatiently' waiting for that first egg. You considered putting a movie on for them, singing, even serving them Dr Pepper. And now you have dozens of eggs!

Love your channel, just wandering what you put on the crust edge of your pizzas...looks so good!
Years ago when my late husband and I used to have company over for a meal we had some for sure meals that we would always go to. And it depended what time of year that it was. If it was spring and summer, we would make burgers ahead of time to put on the grill and I would make potato salad the day before and also serve our favorite store bought bake beans. Desserts for that time of year were easy with vanilla ice cream and multiple toppings. If it was fall and winter we would make a big batch of soup the day before and serve it with sliced cheeses and rolls and crackers. Winter desserts were some kind of pie that I baked the day before or a cake baked the day before. Meals were some kind of crockpot meal, premade lasagna that I made the day before and all it needed to do was put in the oven to bake. Both would be served with garlic bread, rolls or some regular bread. And we served a vegetable or salad. Then on the day they were coming all I had to do would be to make sure the bathrooms were clean, fresh towels out, vacuum, sweep and we were ready. I also would delegate jobs to different family members and so together we had our place and meal ready. We always kept it simple and I like it that you do as well. For entertainment we would play board games if we knew they liked them, or showed slides or just talked.

Hi kim, great video🥰 did you pre-bake the pizza crust?
My kids always loved Quesadillas and side of apple. I could put ANYTHING in them: beans, grilled chicken, slow-cooked roast, hamburger meat, any/all leftovers. Add some tomato or bell pepper or onion & toast it up & even company thought it was a lunch treat! One kiddo wanted sour cream and one didn't. I wonder how many of those I made over 20 years? Tons! Lol ; ) Roast goes a longggg way. Yum. (One day my daughter was disappointed with her pbj. Why? She wanted it 'warm'?? W.e.i.r.d. THEN, I realized... I'd last thawed the bread in the microwave & it must have still been warm! Lol. I know, sad... this mom didn't make homemade bread. That yeast was NEVER rising in a drafty country kitchen & I was anti-kitchenaid. I did what worked. Warm PBJ- It Is! ; ) *Dr Pepper for 'The Win!'- still fixes everything, Mmm.

I GUARANTEE a lot of parents don't feed their children veggies with most meals, so I think you could feed your children the roast and carrots and green beans every meal and I wouldn't find that strange! (In fact, I remember going over to a friend's house as a child of about 10 and asking for more green beans during dinner. That family found that extremely surprising because their children didn't enjoy veggies.) By the way, I find cooked carrots to be an underrated veggie side. I think I enjoy them as much as your boys!
We try to incorporate lots of veggies. Sometimes it's a win, other times it's a lose😂
I weally like you. Pretty wise for your yrs but its all true. And keep the meal simple but go all out on the dessert. You are talented, my mouth is watering. I have 3 kids and we're pretty close in age.

Well let me tell you, you influenced me 😅 I did't know of the dr Pepper drink until I watched you. So when this Dutch mom did her groceries here in the Netherlands I all of a sudden saw.... a dr Pepper can!!! And I love it. So every time when I open a can I have to think about you and tell my children about this lovely American mennonite mom influencing me😂❤

I always have people bring something. So I make the pizza and the guest bring salad or dessert. Etc.
I also think your house DOES look perfect lol which to me is not a bad thing. I think it depends on personality. I love a clean, neat house when people come over with candles lit and music playing. It's not that I am a perfectionist it's just that it brings joy to me. I remember a few years back when my older boys were little there was this whole movement "invite people in your mess!" With stay at home moms. I always thought something was wrong with me for not enjoying that. Until God said to me "there is nothing wrong with enjoying a clean house and having it picked up and nice!" From then on I just did my thing. And I did tell other moms that commented on my house that God makes all of us different. There is freedom in that. I can enjoy being invited into a messy house and I can also appreciate a house that's clean and serves beautiful food like yours. Both are equally wonderful! You are wonderful and a fantastic host ❤

Sorry, I should have clarified in the video. All of my cleaning cloths are that color, I had taken the dirty cloth to the laundry room, and got a clean one to do the sink. In the video it appears like it was the same one!!🤢🤮 so sorry to confused everyone.

You have lilacs already? Did you know if you pour your fizzy drinks right down the side of your glass you won’t lose the fizzy. I use to serve sodas and learnt that. Your cheesecake is so pretty. I don’t understand though. You strain a lot of seeds out then put the berries on the cheesecake. Just curious/ I would be one of those who wouldn’t be able to eat it because of the seeds. You’d better like her…..she’s your sister. Lol I’m so jealous but not in an ugly way that you already have lilacs in bloom. Your house will smell heavenly. My favorite scent.
