- What was FromSoftware doing before Dark Souls?
Well, in case you didn't know, they were making a LOT of mecha games. Mostly in this one series, though it goes through various generations and continuities. I've been a big fan of from software ever since discovering Epic Name Bro's From the Dark series here on CZcams, in which he explores the first Dark Souls game. I just had to get the game myself and I've never been the same.
I wasn't sure if Armored Core would be up my alley or not. But recently on my Twitch channel, I played the first Armored Core and Project Phantasma. I liked the first one a lot more than Phantasma, especially with regards to the arena. But I got through it all. 100% and even got the Finger. I'll be playing Master of Arena someday soon, but since 6 just dropped, I'm playing that since it's not every day you get to play a From Software game on release. I might eventually get around to playing every single one of these games, but who knows what the future holds. I mostly stream FromSoft stuff, but sometimes do other things, like tackle 16 bit games from my childhood, or whatever happens to interest me. I'm eventually going to do entire series playthroughs of Persona and Tomb Raider. Quite the variety streamer I suppose, but my main quest for the channel is to reach maximum new game plus in all the big modern fromsoft titles, including the souls series, sekiro, bloodborne, demon's souls, and elden ring. recently i've been doing weekly challenge runs. sidelined for a moment since AC6 is here, but i'll be doing some RE4 remake runs like handgun and knife only

That's the moment when the core truly armored.
The AC V intro is just pure war. Nobody in their right mind wants to fight there. Just a nightmare of a battlefield where every move is about to be your last.imo no other intro could replicate that feeling so well
its the perfect depiction of when warfare has become too advanced.
AC 4 intro is really something else!

When I was I kid I always dream one day the actual gameplay will look like the intro, the dream finally comes true when I am 40😇
i remember wishing a game could look like a cartoon and now we have stuff like dragonball fighterz that's like a playable anime. what a time to be alive

I still love how realistic it is to players >start mission >shoot biggest gun at random fuel truck
Last Raven is fucking crazy. its about as dystopian as you can get in ther series.

3rd gen games are my favorite intros. Really a big step up from the previous ones, especially Silent Line. The night time fighting is dope.

It's the most detailed, cold and banal intro I've ever seen when I consider that I see intros like this at EVERY START AND END of levels in Transformers Battle For Cybertron!!
AC 6 has great control and graphics, but it is very far from the masterpiece of AC FA and the OW Weapons & Big Armor Fun of AC V and Virdict Day! Which would be between Titanfall and Call Of Duty!
my favorite old gen intro is nexus but overall...you cant tell me ac v doesnt have one of the best intros....yes for answer is good too...
