Actually, sharks have extremely rough scutes called denticles and if you rub upwards on their skin it can even cut you.
I'm never swimming with sharks after learning just their *SKIN* can cut you
Hell no I'm not swimming with sharks
@@allzyal1895 sharks don’t actually eat humans most of the times shark attack happens because the shark thinks the human looks like food but they don’t actually like to eat humans
I love how much you are actually able to do with a 3D Pen, good job :)
Amazing! This is the first time I've seen someone use a 3d pen and it looked like something recognizable. Most of the time it is just a melted mess that a 2yr old would have created. You make it look so easy and I'm sure its extremely hard. Kudos to you!

All that awesome work you did on the inside won’t ever be seen by another human being in life ever again except through your video.
😶.
It came out so well and I really believe the best part was the creation of it.
i got that cheap v1.0 pen for years now :) i had to resolder the heating connections once, but other than that i never had any problems with it. at the time it was still about $20. i guess these pens do work fine, but quality control probably isnt as good.
although with the lower prices i would probably go for the 2.0 version when mine breaks one day.
thank you. I bought 5 for my nieces and nephews.
I have a 3D printer and always thought these pens were just junk, but this video actually makes them look like great fun (and that they can use the same filament is even better). Maybe something for the Christmas list (I mean, er, for the kids ofc...)
ofc 👀
You are so talented! I have a 3D pen and I’ve tried so much and i am not even CLOSE to how good you are!

i bought one that cost 8$ and that included a lot of filament.
the pen "works" but only have 2 speed settings.
really fast and insanely fast!
also, it has no temp control.
but the worst part is the constant need to preheat it. even while using it!
every time i pause for more than a second, i have to wait 20-40 seconds to reheat it.
Wow, that's terrible
Buuuuuuuuuuut i guess thats reasonable for the price
7:00 use a wood burning tool to make it smooth, search the channel of Sanago.
Or Haebokka
Ya!
I was thinking the same thing! It would look so much better if he smoothed it out with a woodburning, tool!
Sergio Solórzano yasssssssssssssssssssssss
U know SANGO!?
That was cool! Really enjoyed the video. You are seriously talented with the 3D pen. I never make more than piles of abstract art. 😵
Very cool -- this is the second 3D pen creation video I've watched (watched a Great Deku Tree one earlier today). Very impressive to see something go from a drawing to a 3 dimensional object.
Three and a half years later and this vid is still helping people - I bought one for splicing two lengths of filament.
I remember learning that shark "skin" is actually very rough
me Dunco only in one direction
I learned that dissecting a shark
Its like sandpaper fish like to scrape themsleves on it
People used it as sandpaper back in the day! As well as sting ray skin.
Actually shark skin is rough if u feel it closely
Before the teeth, I can only see a strange Totoro ! 😂
So, you said that it looked kind of fuzzy... but at the end, the texture that you made created a feeling of ripples in water to me. I think it worked really well.
I actually have the $15 one! It’s pretty good but depending on what colour you use the the plastic can come out really soft or really firm. You’re still able to make the 3D art with it tho!
Plus if you wanna change the colours you can make the excess from the last colour fade into the next
Its really tricky to swap colors and mix them, alternatively you use a soldering iron to smooth 2 different colors in order to make gradient effect.
Mine came with an EU plug as well. I found one from a 10 inch laptop that was 12V 4.5 amp with a long lite flexible cable that works better anyways.
LOL thats awesome ...The elusive "Hairy Puffer" Shark . :)
Thanks for the info on the camo :) i learn something fascinating about sharks from your channel. Great work and thanks for rhe inspiration
First time to this channel and that shark is 1000x more impressive than I thought anything made with a 3d printing pen would be.
“The King of Cowlicks”, oh that’s funny cause he’s called the King of Ran- Wait, wrong guy.
Just bought the V2 3D pen from the second link you posted. 14 bucks for a 3D pen sign me the hell up! Especially since I'll mostly be using it to weld parts together.
Just received my pen. It works just as well as he claims it works 😄
@@TheSentientCloud what did u do about the plug not being the same? Did it come with an American plug?
Yes it did! I assume they sent me the correct one based on my address! It works very, VERY well. Scary well.
Just saying weld is when you combine two metals not plastic sorry if i sound like a grammar nazi
The term "welding parts" is very commonly used in the 3D printer community as to joining parts together and is also overall used in the fabrication world in general to mechanically or chemically fusing two parts together.
Thank you for your review. Just placed an order for one due to this. Appreciate you!
i got a pen off of Wish that looked identical to your $10 one. Had the exact same issues, and eventually got so screwed up after about 20 minutes of use that I couldn't even fix it by taking it apart... sorry to see someone else was struggling, but nice to know it wasn't just newbie user error on my part!
I have one i paid about 30 bucks for a year ago and it is solid for welding parts etc..
This shark looks really cute.. great job! You should present your Projekts in an art gallery.. maybe it’ll be a great fan meet-up
*Your products not you're cause that means "you are"
Sorry, but I hate that mistake -.-
Katharina Scherf excuse me please.. I’ll correct that mistake.. it’s just an auto correction failure
Yes, yes he is freakin’ MARVELLOUS!!! Wow he’s so cute. I stand amazed by how you created something so wonderful from such a cheap pen.
You can always use sand paper to smooth out a 3d pen creation (also applies to 3d prints to get rid of visible layer lines).
Could you please do a video on 3D printing famous buildings such as the Empire State Building or the burj kalifa?
Shark lips!!! I'm laughing out loud at that one... So silly!!
I might have to get one of these pens. Seems like it'd be incredibly useful for customizing gundam models.
I was quite lucky to get the second unbranded 3D pen from a charity shop for only £3 with a few rolls of filaments they didn't use, can't wait to get making stuff! Thanks for giving me faith that my 3D pen, despite being cheap, will make just as cool stuff as you make 😀

I want it!!! The shark is so cute. 👍🏻🔥
May I know if u r in US?
First vid I ever watched and subbed with notifications keep up the good work =)
Thats so cool, ive seen 3d pens before and my 1st thought is "thats cool, but you cant make any big projects or anything great with it" but this video proved me wrong, i guess it all comes down to creativity
Creativity and practice!
This was something great?
You should try sanding the part to get a smooth texture once you fill it in
Didn't he say that he wanted the texture
You just draw-painted a shark using melted dinosaurs.
Oh, the future.
PLA is not from dinosaurs, but still, technology some times is ironic
I didn’t expect that White Shark 🦈 to be that nice 👍🏽!
This was a super cool project! 👍🏼
I totally love your shark, I do think you can make a flat texture with a wood engraving tool. I use it in my 3d pen creations and it works fantastically.
Lucky, for Australia, we use the Chinese plug
So almost every chinesium product works here
Not lucky now tho
>Uses Chinese standard
"boy how lucky we are!"
Awesome job! but could you use a hot iron to smooth things out? Like a soldering iron but with a big flat tip instead of a pointy one?
OMG! I'm totally getting one now! As an artist that LOVES to throw on the wheel and work with clay this looks incredibly fun! And very versatile! Which one would you recommend me to invest in? on the more expensive side is alright with me, so long as it's a quality instrument!
I have de 1st one and works súper, and i have never got a problem with it , i think that that one was bad ( you need to change it)
Can you do a video on making "transparent filament" somewhat transparent and not translucent! I whant to see your approach to it ! Make Anything

What if you can lock the pen to continuously extrude and attach it to a 3d printer frame?

A real shark has tiny structures made of bone composing its scales, like miniature teeth, so it's actually really rough, not as smooth as you make it sound like.
You're correct.. I guess I meant smooth in appearance, specifically
@@make.anything I see. Great video nonetheless!
I thought it was cartilage

This was a great video the Sharks were really cool :D
Thanks for sharing your experience. I already have a 3d printer, but my daughter is asking for 3d pen. I would like to go for a V2 cheaper version. But while browsing for it, I found 2 different types in version 2 3d pen. Some of them are operating on 5v-2Amp=10 watts, while others are working on 12v-2amp=24 watts. Which one is better?
5v version could be used with any usb charger or powerbank, while 12v need specific adapter only! But then, 12v gives more power, and might work faster in getting hotter and melting the filament. I am confused here! What you suggest on basis of your experience?
You should try the AIO robotics 3D pen. I have been useing this pen for more than a year
*13:11** me on picture day*
You are very talented!
Thanks for sharing, wonderful, if one wants to make it smooth...a file works great or lightly heating it with a small torch (adult supervision).
"Always" start teeth on the middle.
Also, if you wanted a smooth base or skin, wouldn't you just use a heat gun and some kind of steel blade, nub or knurling tool to flatten the form?
I like the finish as is, but since. You mentioned the texture...
All in all, this turned out really cool. The original was a bit flatter or "more wide", but yeah, awesome.
The great wide shark would have made a great totoro
I do like the way you made The Great Wide Shark. Also if you want to smooth something in the future, just file it down or use sand paper. But make sure to fill as many holes as you can.
This was extremely helpful. Thank you.
Damn Boi he THICC!
At the end he said you can get the branded version for $90 and the non branded version for $20 but at the beginning he said the branded one was about $60 but now it’s going for around $40 and the non branded one was $15.......... lol
Where can we get the cheap one..

I use a 3D pen that has 3 inputs and a switch for each so it’s really easy to switch from one to one or use multiple. Also minimum temp is close to the smoking point of pvp.
Thanks for that! I first learned of these pens about three days ago and am thinking of buying one...I've got the one above bookmarked. Have you assessed the Mynt3D pen? There are certain features I want, and so far that looks good but I haven't read much user feedback. Mostly, I want a pen that will last, and won't clog often/can be unclogged quickly.
