Apparently the leader of the Red Ribbon Army was not sexy enough to be a main villian, and two teenage punks slaughtering the world was not the high standard he was looking for as world ending threat.
So after cracking upon a few old sketches and seeing Lavos he thought... Yep that is my world ending threat that needs a shot of DBZ to make it work.
Still preceded imperfect cell over his other forms mostly due to ever consuming and growing horror ability.

In Canada they aired the pilaf episodes of DB then a year or so later skipped straight to Z. Goku's all grown up, has a bunch of friends I've never heard of, is a father an alien and dead now? Okay!

Not really, Dragon Ball Z started with Radditz and Gero was watching Goku until the end of the Saiyans saga. He definitely knows who Vegeta is. TFS took the liberty to change it for the sake of the joke but it's not accurate in any way.

Thinking back on old dbza, there isnt too much I can quote from anyone unless it was part of a Nappa conversation. Especially considering Nappa was such a forgettable character in the OG series. Their series doesnt neccesarily need Nappa, but they obviously give a little fanservice and some homage to what made them so extremely popular.

Is it? They barely used Ghost Nappa, if anything I feel like they didn't use him to his full potential while he was a ghost.
@@roguetonka27 the thing about Ghost Nappa is that the writers added him into the show because they were really afraid of not having Nappa in the show. He was so popular with fans that they felt the show couldn’t work without him, and when Ghost Nappa was present he felt pretty unnecessary and out of place, save a few lines.
@@ezmoney4598 I totally get that, and I get the worry of over exposing him as well given that Nappa himself was killed off in the actual show and you couldn't use much actual footage of him. It's also DBZ, not just the Nappa show. Just the same, I feel like the full potential of Ghost Nappa wasn't reached either. He only popped up like, what, 3-4 times, for all of like 3 seconds per appearance? The scarcity of his appearances definitely added to that feeling of being out of place. I dunno, I don't think the joke could've run dry given how little it was even really implemented. That said, I might be a bit bias as my whole reason for watching DBZA in the first place was finding Nappa's Pokemon scene completely out of context and thinking "holy shit that's funny, I wanna see more of this", so I'm always game for more Nappa (Though Two Saiyans and a Baby definitely filled my Nappa void lol)
