The 'Turco Grip': Marty Turco on Goalie Puck-Handling with CBC's Ron MacLean

Originally part of CBC's 'Think Hockey' intermission segment, I've pulled this section because it gives a a very good, short example of a dump-in drill that makes use of the goalie and builds communication with the defence, and also because it offers an excellent showcase for the virtues of the Turco-style overhand grip for goalies. With this grip, hard, flat passes on both backhand and forehand are improved, but the backhand is turned from an almost universal liability into a highly effective breakout tool. With a few annotations (remember to turn them on in the YT control bar!) this is a very effective seminar in playing the puck.
