A beautiful quilt. I took a class to make that pattern maybe six years ago? I have not yet put borders on it. The fabric is beautiful, greens and pinks. I don’t have easy access to sewing right now. My husband is doing renovations in the house, then had a heart attack. He’s okay now but has held the finishing up. We also helped majorly to clear out his mothers house after her death. She was a quilter. We have lots of her things in our small house, still to sort. But I still have dreams to sew again. Thanks for sharing your gifts. 🌲🌲🌲⛄️⛄️⛄️❤️

I started my quilt yesterday. I'm cutting my own 2 1/2 strips as I have so much fabric and am using a solid light sage green throughout the quilt. I am anxious to work on it again today. It is a rainy day here in Kansas this morning so a day in my sewing room sounds like the ticket. thanks for the videos as the visual part helps me so much.

Wrapping up two quilts now and finally bought two jelly’s for a summer trip ;) I will be using gingham gardens line and excited to complete this one . Will certainly watch a dozen more times so there is that. Also ….. gearing up for my Christmas in July stitching/sewing and wonder if you’ve given thought to another LONG sew along to create a quilt by the holiday season? Do share your thoughts and thanks for the inspiration!

I just found your channel (I'm Elizabeth Ann too!). I've never made a trip around the world, but I'm eager to try. I've watched several tutorials, and I really like your method. (I also use the same binding method as you do, and we have the same sewing machine!) The only difference is I have an embarrassing number of fat quarters, so I'm going to cut my 2-1/2" strips out of those. Your quilt turned out beautiful, and the best thing is that your clear instructions are very helpful.

I just ordered this fabric (except for the backing) before I watched any of the videos. I'll measure mine before I cut - just to know - but if they're the same size as yours was then I'll just remind myself. I'll have to watch your videos again anyway! After I watched the first one I thought "oh no, what have I gotten myself into?!!" But your instructions are so simple and I really like how you made it block by block - very methodically. Even a dunderhead like me could understand!

I made this quilt as well, different fabrics, more fall colors. I I have yet to quilt it though. I enjoyed yours so much, the Christmas colors, that I ordered two jelly rolls and can’t wait to get them to make a Christmas version. Beautifully done!

Yay! The finishing video. Your quilt turned out pretty spectacular. Thanks for showing some footage of the long arm quilting. I have to remember your tip of sewing the binding to the back of the quilt and then sewing it on the front where you can see what’s going on. I’ve been doing it the other way, but I like your way better. Thanks for making this video series. I will be referring to it as I work on my blocks. Blessings and take care.

haha the blocks are slightly tedious but way easier than piecing that many individual squares! And yeah I'm so happy with the finished result!

Yes usually I top stitch the binding with a 2.2 or 2.4! THank you!!
It’s a beauty! I think I’m going to make this using my French General jelly rolls. Does Jonesie (sp?) not realize he can lose a tail by messing around when the rotary cutter is being used 😂?

So super helpful - love to see you in action quilting! Although my seams line up beautifully, I find I have a lot of fraying threads everywhere on the backside - you don't have any - how can I avoid that? Should I be trimming up each 4-patch or using more starch? I'm worried they may show through... thanks so much x
I get a ton of fraying threads on the back too! With this quilt I didn't worry about it because all of my prints are so busy that the threads won't show through on the front! The only time I worry about it or clip all the loose threads is if i have dark fabric up against a stark white!
