Lame comment. The guy is hauling, and then abruptly stops in the middle of the road right as the guy takes his focus off the road for a second. Look at how fast he is going right before the log, that is a very short stopping distance based on his speed just prior. No one would have avoided that shit.

I feel you should of been paying more attention to the guy in front of you and not try to wheelie so close to people I also feel unless it’s an emergency the guy should not have stopped in the middle of the path . Well, yeah. Idk the range of the speed on these things but I'd say that offroad anything 20(mph) and over could potentially seriously injure you or even killed you if you hit or landed on the wrong thing when thrown. Luckily Snowcat was wearing a helmet and he had some gloves on, doesn't help much with the wrist but kept him from further damaging his hand and from getting a serious head injury. His friends should know better anyway, you never stop in the middle of the road when there are others coming your way. I'm wondering if said friend might have been trying to cross to the side with the tree to try and move it off the path, but they were closer than he thought and he didn't have time

What how do you break ribs and your wrist at that speed? I ate shit at 30 on the road in a wheelie and only had road rash/hyper extension of joints because I was in t-shirt and shorts

Dang I did not realize electric bikes have came this far! If I could trust myself, I'd totally get one. Definitely a stupid mistake by your friend, but I'm sure he felt terrible. I could not imagine the pain, but on the bright side you can be glad your broken ribs did not lead to a collapsed lung (had it happen once not due to breaking anything and it is terrifying).

And you will see @ 7:00 the rare snowcat blaming his buddy because he failed to keep track of what was ahead of himself. You will notice he is not looking forward at the time as he is accelerating, had he been paying attention he would have be able to easily avoided both bikes and injury. I got 12 broken ribs and 8 titanium rib plates from my e bike ground slam, 1 year recovery, finally better
I broke my right wrist during bicycling. There was snow on the street all of a sudden. It was night and I had to go home, so I continued cycling with only the left hand. I feel at least part of your pain. Apparently there was no bone shards for me, "only" a break in one of the 13 or so (!) wrist bones. Went to the hospital the next day, because during the night I thought maybe it will heal by itself haha. The pain was killing me tho. Also I didn't have any painkillers 😅 it's back to normal now, and I already wrote the exams I couldn't take during those weeks .. wish you all the best!

My friend did this one time to me..we were ripping out mopeds at.full throttle and going neck to neck and playing with beeing back each other to catch the draft and he suddenly decided to hit full stop with all he got like a meter in front of me going 50k. Yeah crashed my bike and destroyed all plastics in front. This was 22 yrs ago but i still keep good clearance to people after that.. you never know. Drink milk and grow healthy. Good opportunity to learn various tasks with the left hand if you know what im sayin..

I do a lot of hard Enduro with 250/300/450/500 in our group. If point guy needs to stop you always shoulder as courtesy and or pay attention to the riders Infront. Also having electric it's hard to hear them to gauge distance. Anyway hope you get well that's shit because you can't ride with those injuries.

I just broke 6 ribs hitting some gravel on my KTM. WORST HURT I’ve had, every breath was torture, coughing or sneezing put me on the ground in pain.

Even as a kid, I knew to pull my bike over and out of the way before stopping...was he filming and needed that angle to get the shot ?
I see idiots pull over into turn lanes to make calls, use their GPS, etc...is that better than doing it while driving on a 35-45 mpg road - maybe (don't know - depends on their skill) but still...anything is possible now with today's riders/drivers.

Wow, that was stupid... indeed, why would you stop? I feel you man, I got in an accident a month ago too. I was on my oldschool japanese moped, prepared it for my first season and finally started driving it. And couple of weeks later, on my way to work, a guy took an exit through my lane without looking in the mirror. Though I was going 40-50kph, apart from bruises and abrasions, I only broke left part of my ass, yet I was lucky and shards didn't move - no surgery needed. Now I'm here with my broken ass watching you crash. Sad stuff man. Two wheels is no fun sometimes :(
