Thanks for your videos Jack. I'm a retired business major. Maybe this will be a good source of a little extra retirement money.
I use breaking news English as well as Kieron's Film English, great recommendations Jack.
I also like teatime-mag.com with its fairly authentic articles and the quality voice overs that come with them. The site also has intext translations for some of the language within the article. Moreover, the vocabulary tab above the article also contains multiple choice comprehension Qs and vocabulary lists.
I set an article at the end of a class as either a reading or listening homework. Next class students summarise the article in their own words. Say what were the most interesting takeaways from the article, and then answer some personalisation questions (for example with the article on working on a cruise ship Iask if this would be an interedting job for them). I also often use a screenshare and we go through the comprehension questions together.
Thanks for the video.
Glyn.
Great to see you here Jack

Thank you so much! This was a gem! Im newly certified currently teaching on preply but now accepted on Italki where I have to make my own lesson plans I am defiantly excited but couldn't figure out what resources to use. You defiantly helped me thank you again
Thank you very much! I absolutely loved all the tips, the websites (I've become familiar with them recently but I haven't used any of them yet) and how to use them. For the moment, I'm a traditional teacher, but I'm pretty interested in changing that. Take care!
This helps tremendously, thank you so much for your videos
Thanks for helping me. I was looking for that exactly kind of content!
Thanks for your tips. They're still updated.
Thanks for that Jack. Very helpful. I've taught face-to-face before but not online. I'll check the links you gave. Much appreciated.
Always life-saving videos and tips ....thanks!
Thank you so much from Mexico. March 12th 2021!
I´ll watch all of your videos.
Jack, once again very informative. I would like to go to ways with my teaching ESL. The first is the conversational English and second is academic English with a focus on teaching skills and concepts for reading, writing, listening, and speaking. I have more experience with the latter. In the mean time I will focus on the learners as suggested and review online resources too. Thanks
Thanks for sharing this video it really helped me a lot, greetings from Mexico!
Thank you very much, your video has made me stress free I thought I had to have lesson plans
Thank you. This video just saved my life.. I nearly gave up because I couldn't find the right materials to teach.. Now im all set and good to go.
Finding your channel and all the resources listed (especially www.teach-this.com/) is an answer to a prayer! Thank you so very much!

I'm brand new to teaching online. This is going to be very helpful. Thank you
Great video! I've been an ESOL tutor for 20 years. However, my new job will initially be online! It's not one to one, it's a class of new learners who are refugees! So really anxious about this.
You remind me so much of Chris Martin! Great tips, I'm new to Esl teaching online
This is very helpful. Thank you
Great video! Many thanks
Thank you for this. I teach one one and small groups in person but would like to start flapping the online wings! One program I've used for three is: ESL Library. I cannot say enough good about it. A great variety of classes from starter to advanced, all categorized; the choice is huge. Placement test, grammar tests, stories , current events, discussion questions, grammar, phonics, exercises to go with every class and audios both US or UK accents + online assignment homework to review, and on the list goes, is worth every cent!
Thank you for this tips it's really a big help for me.I'm Currently looking a job for Online English Teaching I just got my TEFL Diploma. Thanks again and God bless.

Thank you so much. I am working for a language company and now because of corona virus we are doing an online course. It's still group teaching and it worries me if I can help them as good as in a real class.
Good information!
It takes 6-12 months to build a system. I work with native-speakers and I am usually the one creating all of the teaching plans for them. Thank you for sharing all of these resources.
What? ! :D Wow, I hope they pay you well for it! The hired you to build lesson plans for them?! How much money can they make doing this and teaching ESL to whom? What's the L1 of their students? Thanks for the comments, that all seem great if it really works and you all make money whilst making your students happy and teaching them something actually. :D
P.S. I'm not a NNES, just asking... ;)
Gotcha! You're Russian and you guys work with the Russian-speaking population. :)
Thank you
This was so helpful
Can u leave the link to your video of the typical english class that u said u have on ur channel?
I cant find it
Thanks
Thanks Jack. I've been really frustrated as to how I'll conduct my classes going forward and acquiring resources - lesson plans.
Hello. Thank you very much for all your tips. They are all really helpful. One thing I'd like to know if you don't mind .....How long does an on line lesson last ? 45 minutes so far? Thanks in advance. Analia.
The problem is that when you manage a lot of different students and a variety of programs (from the beginner to business English), it gets really hard to manage. I get overwhelmed and it takes a lot of my time (that I don’t have anymore)
Romana Abramovna have you been able to find a solution?
Thanks for the video. Do you have any tips for group online classes? Thanks again!

Thank you for the video. I am planning a online spoken English course, but I am stuck on employing materials during and off the lesson. I am particularly concerned about the legal sides of using others' materials. How do you handle this?
Hello Jack, I really need your help. I have a TEFL certificate and I really want to teach but I'm confused about how to begin and where to begin from. Thank you and God bless you .

To be honest, it's been a long time since I taught children. Have you checked out Off2Class?
Yes yes, I checked it and liked a lot! Thank you!
In Georgia, they teach English at schools with ENGLISH WORLD, which I like but I think, the levels are mixed in the books.
I tried each resource which you named below, and they are all very helpful. I am so grateful I cannot express.
Best wishes
Kate
What Lesson plans do you use? What websites do you use for resources ?
I was just watching this video how to write lesson planning for online Montessori classes
Nothing me fibe😢
Why is online teaching necessarily "one on one"? I know of online teachers who teach groups.

18 minutes and 11 seconds of nothing very useful unless you are completely new. Oh well another channel to add to the list of useless information.
Paul Garrett I think this video is for those who are completely new.
I'm just a bigginer am teaching Arabs English. It's quiet challenging.
Thank you for the great video. Another site that I use for my online ESL is ESL Pals.
