the sandbank used to be connected all the way to the next island, our last visit you had to go in the water to get to it hopefully its back to how it was when we return in march
Yes indeed. It wasn't connected and I believe we saw them trying to do some restorative work at that area. Hopefully you will get to enjoy it when you are there again! :)

Unfortunately, because of the nature of Atolls, the coral pieces are still present here and there. The sand is white and smooth for most parts especially when you go further out. So I would suggest still wearing wet shoes to enjoy the beautiful sand quality and clear waters.
For your friend who loves snorkeling, there’s a daily complimentary snorkeling trip to the hotel’s house reefs. The manta ray and whale shark snorkeling trips would be add ons.

Yes we went at the tail end of the rainy season!
But tbh we still did enjoy the rain here and there :)
Great video! I am going in 2 months time! Did you wait a lot for the seaplane to reach the resort? We will arrive in Male aiport AT 07:40. How often the seaplane goes during the day? Thanks
The timings and duration of the seaplanes are centrally arranged by TMA(trans Maldivian airways) and it might include stopovers at other resorts.
From what we noticed, seaplanes generally took off in intervals of around 30 mins to an hour?
My wife and I waited in the Lux lounge for around 45 mins before being brought to the TMA departure area. Our actual plane journey was around another 50 mins because we had two other stops before our resort :(
If it were direct to LUX, then it would be only around 30 mins.
Either way, the LUX (or other big resort) lounges are nice :)
