    I feel like Marika didn't turn into Radagon and go to Rennala, it's implied that they physically separated from each other for a time before conjoining again later. I'm sure he met and married Rennala during that time and he probably didn't have a choice but to return to Marika cause he was going to conjoin with her soon, him marrying her was probably just to cover up that fact.

      I agree, not to mention that it is apparent that Marika and radagon had 2 different personalities, objectives, and motivations as shown by the fact that radagon tried to repair the elden ring after Marika broke it

    • @Phoenix_NH
      @Phoenix_NH Před 2 lety +21

      The lore I’ve heard is that in the war with the giants, Marika was cursed by the giants, and then Marika cursed the last giant to tend to the flames. Marika separated the curse from her into another body, Radagon. This explains his red hair, as well.

      @jayo615 Před rokem +5

      I think radagon is the embodiment of the greater will , which is why ranni slayed her body so that it wouldn’t be able to use her to embody itself physically, it also explains why we find radagon trying to repair the Elden ring even when it was impossible he couldn’t even control himself bc he was actually the greater will in physical form

    This is why I love Elden Ring despite the chaos of the peak "Maidenless" behaviour of the community, I love the lore cuz it leaves you the rest of the story and may differ depending on your level of understanding. They say the good book is not always be printed, and luckily these days you don't need to own a book just to enjoy a good story and I'm happy that video games is like a new form novel cuz having one is like buying a book and a game at once which is for me a peak level of entertainment.

    The reason you don’t “die” by Maliketh if you perish in his boss fight is because the whole death rune was separate from the Elden ring at that time. You may ask, what about Godwyn? The death rune was still part of the Elden ring, Rani only stole part of it to perform her ritual. Merika then shatters the Elden ring bestowing her children and Maliketh with its great runes and death rune respectively, unless there is lore saying these event happen at different time.

    14:20 well, there is an explanation for why he can’t just perma Death us. And that is because there are about 20 Black Knife Assassins, including the ones Blaidd and Iji killed and Alecto and Tiche, all of whom have Destined Death infused Black Knives, which some theorise were originally Blades of Calling. But that is roughly twenty shards of the Rune of Destined Death. No wonder the Black Blade is falling apart and can’t deliver you true Death.

    From what I can tell i think that radagon and marika are two halves of the original marika she needed to take over the carian knights so she separated her law of regression to bring them into the golden order. Over time their personalities grew on their own and they couldn’t become one again so they made children to hopefully reincarnate a new vessel for her but both were born disfigured and flawed. She sent tarnished away in hopes they would come back strong enough to be her vessel. She caused the shattering as a trial for a new vessel. At least that makes the most sense to me

For the second an example would be this 1 hour video called "A Philosphical Analysis of Dark Souls". im interested in when we will get to that second stage of videos. 32:57 my favorite theory so far as to why Melinia was fighting radahn despite both being fans of the golden order is the same as to why he froze the stars.
    He knew the golden order was going to try and kill her due to her plans to enact a new age of stars…. As they done many many many many many times before with other potential replacements of merika.
    So he froze the stars since they control destiny so that his sister renna would effectively be immortal and stay safe…. So they sent melinia to kill him…. She failed, and radahn will was strong enough to STILL hold the stars back.

    I think since the Golden Order couldn't defeat Caria, Marika would have seen fit to sent another version of herself to seduce the leader of her enemy. Her doing this and the events that followed allowed her victory by causing civil war within an undefeatable opponent. After this was accomplished, Radagon simply returned to his other self. This at least to me makes the most sense, as if you cannot defeat an enemy in combat, you defeat them politically or from within.

  • @Martin_Stingers
    @Martin_Stingers Před 2 lety

    Marika and Radagon are the same for me, as she stated herself that: "O' Radagon, Leiall hound of the golden order, Thou yet to become me" and in the same sentence she also said: "Thou aren't yet to become a god, let us be shattered, Both, myne other self." This to me gives off 2 different theories. One theory of mine would point out that they are separate entities in the physical realm but harbors the same soul/spirit. They are born separate but had the path laid out for them way before to enact the greater will with a causality of the greater will as the path they were always going to walk forward to. This tells us that to some extend, all that has happened, was meant to happen, no matter where they ended up in the middle. Even as to the questioning and doubts of the golden order itself that Marika eventually succumb to.
    Another Theory is that Marika and Radagon IS the same, and born as one or the other. Radagon's plot with rennala was probably a way to supplement and replace Godfrey when he became demotivated to keep fighting. Marika already realised this, as part of her able to see, not the future but to see causality play out. She knew that at some point, she will have to exile/banish Godfrey, thus splitting herself sometime before and chose the Lucarians to duke it out. It is not clear if Radagon was supposed to fall in love with Rennala, but with the theory of causality as a major factor, I would not be suprised. All of this was to do as what the greater will did, to find, not a vessel but vassal. A consort, a partner.
    Anyway, it's probably wrong, but this is my firm belief until proven otherwise.

  • @elusiveDEVIANT
    @elusiveDEVIANT Před rokem

    So the video is wrong about one thing that I noticed. The greater will did in fact create the lands between, the planet is resides on, and the whole universe and all within. The three fingers say as much, by stating that the greater will broke the one great, which the frenzied flame wishes to create again, all things being one. The greater will was either apart of this one great and is the most powerful god, thus its moniker.
    There was life on the lands between, but no order. It sent the beast down to provide said order, though its not exactly picky about which order. Though one can surmise that it wasn't a fan of the golden order because Marika removed the rune of death. The greater wills designs include destined death, or it wouldn't be in the elder ring to begin with.
