I like how the hostage goes from being completely insane to having a brief moment of clarity and back to being completely insane. Definitely refreshing from the basic story structure we're use to.

Yo, what did I just listen to. This is by far the weirdest and creepiest story of yours that I listened to and I listened to a lot. Good voice acting and music tho, you protrayed the heavy atmosphere, the manic realization and overall creepiness of it all beautifully, nice job.
At 45:56 when the corpses were revealed I announced: “Fuck, you’ve been drinking people juice.” I paused the story and sat in silence for like 5 minutes after that.
I have got to say this has to be my favorite format for these kinds of stories. Tales from the gas station still has my heart but this is a close second. I love how the story is told from the narratiors eyes through a journal. It makes the view of the story extremely unique and lets you directly understand their thoughts but it also makes the view of the storu uniquely biased. 10/10 story right here.

Listening to the stories you read helps me sleep better. I have no idea how listening to horror stories makes night terrors less terrifying, but it works.
I actually have nightmares connected to ptsd caused by abuse at the hands of my ex husband who would wait until I was asleep to begin being abusive. I have been seeing an occupational therapist and stumbled on these horror stories and realized I was not having nightmares and sleeping a little better than usual while listening to them. I asked the occupational therapist about how this was possible. How could listening to what would give most nightmares stop mine? I was told that because these stories aren’t what happened to me and aren’t connected to a real memory it occupies my subconscious and it makes my brain focus on something outside of the memories of the abuse which causes my nightmares.

This story definitely made me think of split personalities all the faces different personalities the hostage the main personality the one ur born with the person who had him hostage is a personality that took over iam probably wrong but as someone who has split personalities it definitely felt like it anyways great story 🖤
The person who took his face could also be seen as an abuser. Did associative personalities are usually formed due to severe childhood abuse or some extreme trauma. The man asking for his story could be a doctor or police officer or journalist trying to help. This is based only on the first part I’ve heard and reading your comment. I had a similar thought. Let’s see.
I love these comments! but then what would the ending be? Would it be the abuser offering him a way out or to keep living with this. the person thinking it over for a moment. but is so comforted by the others that the host dosnt want his old life back? That he wants this new one with the friends hes made. The memories hes formed. Rather then going back to how boreing his life could have been before the others took hold and offered an escape?

"Huh" I said quitely upon reading the title of the video "why would someone go to the effort of taking a face?" I asked noone in particular.
"You know..." said Jerry, loudly as he emerged from the rest room, mop and bucket in hand. "They say talking to yourself is often the first sign of madness, but in your case I'd say its about the 5th or 6th"
I tore my eyes away from the screen, half in suprise, half in annoyance and looked up at him as he approached the counter.
Now, I wish I could say that I came up with a snappy come back, and that I didn't just stare blankly at him, but unfortunately a response wasn't exactly forth coming.
"Also..." Jerry continued "Saving face is very important in some cultures."
Annoyed at what was clearly just an elaborate and long winded pun, I closed up the laptop and asked if he had finished cleaning the floors.
Jerry responded by simply reaching into his pocket, then pulling out a half used pack of Malboroughs.
"OK, go take 5, we'll take stock when you come back" I said, mustering as much of an authoritative tone as I was able, given the situation.
"Can do Jack" Jerry said with a mock salute. He then strategically placed a cigarette behind his ear and walked out the front door.
After watching him leave, I reopened my Laptop, looked at the curious video and pressed "play"...
I saw the first two so I can just skip to the last. Good stuff MCP!

I know this was a year ago, but I did a free trial of Shudder. They had f all for movies and shows. Zero paranormal or psychological horror. All torture and body horror. No thanks. Also, classics seem to rotate through services and sometimes with the entire movie set of sequels.
