The conclusion that he came to that I think is “Because, you have regrets”, or “ because, you seek closure”.
I think it's because he did what he did and it can't be changed.
"Because" with nothing else afterwards is usually used to mean "It have no real reason" or "Stop wondering"
The answer of why she did what she did is "Because sht happens", pretty much. The ritual is supposed to just make you face reality

I have Epilepsy and am in post ictal and am not in great shape right now. The flashing lights are really nauseating. I understand if it's not possible though.
