My favorite travel memory was going to Niagara Falls, Ontario on our honeymoon. I did not want to go they're because that's where my parents went in the 50's. We got there and I did not want to leave the rim of the horseshoe falls! The falls were so beautiful I couldn't take my eyes off them. This is also when I realized my husband made no reservations for our entire trip. We spent an hour in the Table Rock gift shop on the pay phone, yes, pay phone... it was 1987, trying to find a room. Newly married, not much money, we had to pay $150 for one night because it was the only place we could find a room! There was a good exchange rate at that time with the American dollar, so my husband's response at my reluctance to pay that much was "Is ok, it's Canadian money!" We loved Niagara Falls, Ontario so much, we've gone back every year we've been married, with the exception of the pandemic years. ❤😊. Now when I want to buy something up there, even 30 plus years later, I tell my husband, "It's ok, it's Canadian money!" 😊

My favorite memory in travel…My daughter and I would watch airplanes at MKE. She was 4 or 5 years old and could name all the airlines from her car seat! Today, 21 years later, she is an airline pilot. Her grade school teacher said, as she always looked out the school window, you’ll never get a job by looking out the window. Guess she was wrong. Congratulations on 100,000

In 1976, my Dad scraped together enough money to fly the family to California to visit our grandparents. That flight on a TWA 707 changed my life and I've been an aviation & travel junkie for (nearly) 50 years since. Related to that, I appreciate the way your channel celebrates the whole travel process; but, from an insiders perspective. Thank you!

While in college at Texas Tech in Lubbock, TX (1992-1996), the Tech Band “The Goin’ Band from Raider Land” was invited to march at the St Patrick’s Day parade in Dublin, Ireland. About 200 (of just over 400) of us were able to go. Most of us had never been out of Texas, much less the US. That trip was the best. We were there for 6 days in Ireland an 2 days in London on the way back. We toured all over Ireland. The Cliffs, Waterford, everywhere. We were warmly welcomed everywhere we went. And offered Guinness every, too. I tried, I tried hard but couldn’t drink it, but I’m not much of a drinker.
During the parade, we were cheered on as if we were a local group. It was just amazing.
We arrived late into London and those of us with tickets to Les Miserables were almost denied entry! But we got in and I’ve never seen anything like it. It was the 1st major musical I saw live.
The next day I went alone on the Underground to meet some of my friends to see a musical called “The Buddy Holly” story. He was a singer/songwriter born in Lubbock. After the matinee, we spoke to some of the cast at the stage door because they had better accents than we did! We had some Lubbock trinkets to share with people we met and we gave that cast.
I’m still good friends with a few people that were on that trip and it’s something I will always treasure. And of course my mom, she went with us. Without her I couldn’t have gone. Watching your videos reminded me again how much fun we had. Thank you for sharing.

My favorite travel memory was at the age of 8, I embarked on an unforgettable journey that would ignite a lifelong passion for aviation. From SFO to HNL to GUM, and then on smaller planes to Saipan and Tinian, each step brought me closer to my destiny. Mid-flight, the pilot asked if I wanted to take the controls, and despite my mother's hesitation, I eagerly accepted. Guiding the aircraft, I felt an indescribable thrill that sparked my love for flying. Since then, I've become a private pilot, served in the Army as a Chinook helicopter pilot, and now fly for a regional airline, fueled by the dream of one day joining a major airline. That single moment changed my life forever, forever binding me to the sky.

Favorite travel memory: Just last year I decided to run a full marathon. I didn't pick just any marathon; I chose the Jungfrau marathon in Switzerland. I trained for months and months, and finally flew out to Switzerland (first time) in September. We spent a day in Zurich and then took a train to Interlaken. The country is insanely beautiful. The day before the race my wife and I paraglided over the town and it was spectacular. The next morning, I ran 26.2 miles through stunning villages, along a river, and up a mountain. It was the hardest thing I've ever done, but it might have been the best too. We went back to Switzerland again 3 months later because we loved it so much and my wife even wants to move there now. My favorite travel memory is one where my girlfriend and I had only a short layover in London on our way back from our vacation in Italy. We maybe had about 9 hours over the night. So we took the tube to our hotel (with only a small room in the basement) and explored London by night with a few occasional pints from pubs. Tired and exhausted from our previous trip, we headed back tipsy to our room to sleep. 4 hours later we woke up tired as hell to further explore London and to visit all the 'touristy' locations as we both never were in London before. Still dark at around 5am we checked out and walked to Picadilly Circuit, London Eye, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Oxford Street and Soho before 9am. We have amazing pictures from Picadilly Circuit by night with the lights from the billboards that were bouncing off the wet street. Or from a breathtaking sunrise when we arrived at Big Ben. And the best part is, that in most pictures we have from that day, we are the only ones on the street. We were both exhausted after that, but we would definitely do it again.

My favorite travel memory: We just returned from a trip to Germany. It was the first time my boys traveled on an airplane (that they could remember) and they were able to meet their great grandmother for the first time. Even with a language barrier, so much love was shared and it was beautiful to see them engage with each other. Flying is more than airplanes. It connects friends, people and strangers across the world.

A 16 hour flight on Emirates from ORD-DBX, followed by a 7 hour flight from DBX-LUN the following day to meet my wife's parents, and introduce them to their grandchildren. A visit to Victoria Falls followed by a Safari in Chobe National Park with family was outstanding. Love your content, keep it coming.

I was 8 YO. One of the earliest family trips I remember, our first time as a family in Europe. We were walking in the garden near the Eiffel Tower and I was too excited and walking far from my parents too often. In an attempt to teach me a lesson, they hid behind a wall and I remember freaking out for a few minutes feeling lost!

my happiest memories are from a few spots that have quite a few people at once, with just the right mood. It's more about the people, for me. I like pedestrian places, where you mostly see people going on foot and you don't hear the sound of engines. So a few places check these boxes. My favorite is Venice, in shoulder season and avoiding the most busy parts.

Favorite travel memory... Spending a month with a childhood friend who was in the Peace Corps in The Gambia in West Africa in 1990. Lived in his village for 3 weeks with no running water or electricity. No Internet then so a 2 min $20 phone call home to let my folks know I arrived was it for 30 days. It was rough living but so much fun and memories we still talk about.
A close second was flying into Kai Tak 4 days before it closed on the jumpseat of a FedEx MD-11 and seeing the Checkerboard Approach from Row 0. Flew out of Chek Lap Kok a few days later (on a United jumpseat).

My favorite travel memory was flying in 2019 from CVG to JFK with United. It was my first time in a plane as an adult and it helped me fall in love with flying. I was pursuing a career as a clinical psychologist and that memory of flying and seeing the world from up there persuaded me to change my career to aviation after I graduated. I’m now in flight school and super close to getting my PPL! Aviation influencers like you helped me get the courage to change my career so thank you so much for showing the world how awesome aviation is. Congrats on 100K!

So my husband is all about conquering fear… that type you know! I appreciate it because he loved adventure. Scary and beautiful. When we were very early in our relationship we went from Calgary Alberta Canada to Toronto Canada for my sister wedding. On the way one of many tent nights we camped at a site in Souix Narrows in Sault Saint Marie ON. I had an uneasy feeling. Telling my brave heart that with all these campers around the bears must be a plenty. He was like aaahh bears they aren’t interested in us. Well one circled our tent for an hour the crows went crazy and I was dripping in sweat from fear. Let’s say that ended our camping journey. You know not all fears are worth it.

Congrats on 100K. My favorite memory was flying from IAD to Beijing on a United 747 in businesses class. It was daylight the whole way and our Polar route took us right over the North Pole in CAVUK conditions. My eyes were glued to the window over the North Pole and all of a sudden we had been heading north but now we were heading south. When we got to Beijing we were vectored for 45 minutes on a typical hazy low vis day in China. The Captain got on the PA and announced that the only thunderstorm in China was right over the airport so we had to divert to an alternate whose name I can’t remember. I was right behind the cockpit and the pilot was trying to arrange fueling. The flight attendants were concerned about the dogs in the baggage. After an hour we finally departed for Beijing and arrived at the brand new terminal. It was definitely a flight to remember.

My favorite travel memory was traveling from Norfolk, VA to Krakow, Poland. Drove 4 hrs. to BWI. Hopped on Icelandair bound for Reykjavik. Missed my connection in Reykjavik, so unexpectedly stayed overnight (booked tickets on separate carriers, rookie mistake). Was rebooked on SAS the next day and flew into Copenhagen with a 6 hour layover that turned into 10 hrs. Took off bound for Gdansk, Poland only to be diverted to Warsaw due to weather in Gdansk. Was then put on a bus and drove 4 hrs. to Gdansk to meet up with my wife who was living in Slupsk for work. Got in a 230AM. Slept for 2 hours and then got on a train to Krakow, Poland where we vacationed for a few days. Left Norfolk Thursday Afternoon and got to Krakow Saturday Morning. It was a beautiful disaster and great travel memory!

My favorite travel memory would probably be when I went to Lebanon to visit my dads side of the family. Wonderful country. Aside from all the a,aging things the country has to offer, it really made me enjoy some of the simplest things. I was about 10 years old when I went, but I’ll never forget how tight knit the neighbors were. It felt like one giant family. I remember racing on bikes with other kids my age and loving it so much despite the heat, humidity, and the fact my bike didn’t even have a seat. My dad had yelled at me for riding it, because he thought it was dangerous, and I started crying in frustration because I was having the time of my life. I’ll also never forget how freaky the approach felt coming into Beirut at night. The darkness over the Mediterranean made it seem as if the plane was flying only a few feet over the water, my depth perception was so messed up, and while the idea of that scared me I was fascinated by it!

My favorite travel memory has got to be when I discovered my love for aviation. I was in the 6th grade and I was fascinated with history so my mom and I took a trip to Washington DC. On our way back, we flew from DCA to Chicago Ohare and then back to our home in Tulsa. On our leg from Chicago to Tulsa, we were flying on the 737-700. I was sitting in the front row on the aisle and I had my favorite toy with me. It was a little model 747. The captain happened to see me with my model and he invited me up to the cockpit where I got to sit in the captains seat and he showed me what some of the controls did. I instantly fell in love and told my mom soon after that that’s what I wanted to do when I grew up. Fast forward 7 years later to the present day where I am currently working on my private pilot’s license in hopes of one day flying for United Airlines.
PS; congrats on 100k. That is an accomplishment that is so well deserved. You put so much passion into your videos that keeps the viewer so engaged the entire time. I absolutely love your videos and can’t wait for all of those future adventures. Maybe one day I’ll be up there flying with ya.

My favorite travel memory was hiking with my family to our first 14er in Colorado, Grays Peak. When we finally got to the top we couldn't believe we had made it; it was a goal we'd had for many years, and we finally achieved it together. I had to smile when I watched you and Erin climb to Windsor Lake. I felt the exact same way climbing the 14er that your Erin did climbing to the lake. I appreciate you including those clips in the video; it will help a lot of people realize the difficulty of hiking to that altitude and being prepared for that experience.

My favorite travel memory is flying from Incheon International to SeaTac after spending three years living there. It was my 10 month old daughter's first flight, and it was the end of 2020. Our flight had very few passengers, and the flight attendants couldn't have been kinder, making sure we and our daughter were absolutely comfortable. They even gave us a second row so that we could take turns sleeping. Thankfully, our daughter slept the whole flight, and when she woke up for our descent into SeaTac, she was laughing and smiling. When we landed, our daughter met her grandparents for the first time ❤ She loves flying, and whenever her daddy goes away to fly, she tells him she wants a turn. 😄

Another good one was when we missed our flight from training in Indianapolis because class ran late. Our manager didn't look us on the flight and it was leaving in a half hour and there was no time to get us booked. There were no other flights to get us home. Our manager told us to deal with it ourselves since we were the ones that were stuck there. We had to sit at the airport for hours because nobody would fax the paperwork for us to go to the hotel. In the morning we were waiting for the shuttle before anyone was in the lobby. By the time the shuttle came the lobby was jammed with people and there was only one seat left In the van so I had to sit on my coworkers lap in the shuttle because there was no way we were missing our flight again. We were only supposed to be there for one day so we didn't bring our suitcase. You can only imagine how fun that trip was.

Thank you for sharing this with us. Your family is lovely and gracious to share their precious time with us.
My favorite travel memory is the entirety of a 2 week trip to the UK. New Year's Eve in Edinburgh, Scotland; driving in Scotland and Ireland, visiting the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff, the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland; getting lost without a map in Northern Ireland; the castle at Kilkenny, and the Beauty of St Stephen's park in Dublin.
I was trying to pick one experience from the trip, but each has a special place in my heart.
I think part of what makes them special is the human element, the broken suitcase, renting wheelchairs due to a non-travel related injury, rolling with detours when the map has failed - and trusting you will get where you are supposed to be at some point, things like that. They make the experience unique.
