#Existentialism #Philosophy
I've adopted this philosophy as my own for years now. And somehow felt a bit cursed because not many people think like this. I thought I was the black sheep of this world. And now, I ran across this word. This philosophy. To know people also think like this gives me so much peace.
Omg girl same here and I just turned 30 this yr
Unrelated but if that is you in your profile...you're gorgeous.
Metoo..
God I thought I couldn't find an answer
At the age of 45, I've finally found a word to describe my life philosophy.

You should be neutral while presenting any ideas even though you personally might be biased towards or against the idea
@@sandeepmeena1 The narrator said nothing that was biased, in my opinion. I said "some people" (not me, necessarily) insist it is impossible to be neutral because we all bring pre-existing beliefs (some rational, some irrational) to everything usually from our earliest environments and perhaps even from genetics. There are 12 different types of bias and it's difficult to avoid them all, all the time.
@@tsctuberoussclerosiscanada4915 The only way it is to learn through various sources. By learning through various points of view you can build your own one.
Existentialism made me realize for once in my life that I truly exist, it made me realize that I've been living without knowing that I exist, and it's both calming and scary at the same time😂
Great video. Just enough information to get you started and interested in this fascinating subject.
Very well explained. This "philosophy" seems obvious to me. I wouldn't have thought it was even debatable, just that many people don't think deeply enough to see it...
great quality video. deserves more views
I enjoy these videos very much. Could you please make one about anarchism?
I really love these types of thoughts
Love the brain animation!
The coolest idea of that time 👌🏼
After a long time I gotta perfect video for me.
Hi @Anushka. Glad to hear that! :)
Do Autism next
I felt this way but I never knew a term
For it thank you.
My favorite existential movies are The Matrix and the Planet of the Apes Trilogyies.
The only way to win is not to play.
It is really civility, passion, and education that decides when we should embrace the middle. That is the root of functionality or else we all would be bouncing balls giving in to gravity and force?
Most of the people get this blatantly wrong. Clearly, the idea is that life is a series of choices that we make. It was never about dawdling and being zero productive or about romanticising procrastination. Thanks BBC for clearing my doubts.
Bbc is existentialism.
the more I read about existentialism the more confused i get
Thank you. I enjoyed your video.
Better watch crash course ;)
an edible abd a tv show called "the bear" led me down a terrible path for about 2 weeks
Existing.
There is a video about Existentialism but there is no mention of Nietzsche, !!!
Can you make a video about PewDiePie like you made a video about Akshay Ruparelia
Thanks for the suggestion

Non-existentialism. Unseen passages. Sun screen. Lost focus which had been already wide.
S/o to into dust by Bladee
This is a nice fluffy way of looking. There must be a subgenre to explain my view, which I feel is justified and true. But I won't preach it. No reason to make everyone miserable like me.
get off your high horse mate

Nihilism?
I kinda relate.
I am Sisyphus
My free book has the answer to the meaning of life
Cwy abowt it
Having gone through the journey of being Red-Pilled 🔴, followed by being Black-Billed ⚫, and then thankfully White Pilled ⚪ ... I have this to say about the meaning of life:
Don't lie, be your true self - be 'based'. Dont go out your way to upset people, but ultimately be yourself.
Work hard at your job, help others when you can, treat yourself the same way as you would a loved one.
Spend as much time as you can with friends and family.
Spend time in and around nature as much as you can.
Don't use a smart device/phone/laptop/computer unless you REALLY need to, and when you are finished that task switch it off 1hr before bed.
Go to bed so you are asleep at 11:30pm by the latest.
Avoid eating crappy food and do light regular exercise.
Avoid Music/Films/News that bums you out/makes you angry.
And lastly... don't try to 'pill' anyone, they wont thank you for it.
That really didn’t give a satisfying explanation.
I guess the philosophy that typically ends in meaninglessness is difficult to describe in a meaningful manner.
Read Sartre’s Existentialism is a Humanism
Alright guys, but Albert Camus was absurdist, not existentialist.
Absurdity is a term used in existentialism as for looking into what the meaning of life is and its inability to find any in an irrational world. They play into together and is like a step towards existentialism
@@madim7240 No, I know that absurdity is a concept also used linguistically in existentialism. Absurdism is a separate philosophy.
@@odonnelly46 He would disagree with you, and so do I. If you have more to say though, I would love to hear it, genuinely.
Whai is ISMS
Trust the BBC to mention de Beauvoir and feminism but not, for example, Nietzche or Dostoyevsky - more Woke-ism than Existentialism
If you can't find actual meaning, create some kind of facade and roleplay as whatever gives you meaning I guess
Existensialism I think is derisive
Of when u realise that nobody cares and everyone is focused on their own lives so u have to stop living for other people but ur own self and it’s difficult because it’s harder to know what u want than what someone else would want since we know ourselves so well, and the more u know something the more complex it is and contradictory leading u into an identity crisis.
It’s the variety of options and possibilities that life brings as life evolves that make us less creative and our lives less meaningful as it seems like everything around us is sufficient and everyone’s fine.
You can feel insignificant as a person and like nobody needs u. I don’t think it’s until u feel needed that ur life holds some meaning or value, otherwise ur just a leach - existensial crisis
This was not a good explanation
But... there is no free will. So, bye-bye existentialism.
Why not?
IN ITS TOTALITY IT'S A MISLEADING CARICUATURE.... That point was not proven. At all. Fail. F-minus.
12 SECONDS IN, HE EXPOSED HIMSELF AS AN UNCRITICAL BUFFOON. F-.
iF YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE AN ANALYTICAL CLAIM, TREAT IT IN AN ANALYTICAL WAY. Meeting opinion with counter-opinion is NOT philosophy.
i think this content lack of content
God is dead - Nietzsche
Nietzsche is dead - God

Existentialism crisis = the absence of God…..
