#chess #magnuscarlsen #worldchesschampionship - Hry
the concerned face of Maurice is hilarious
4:02 the conversation/analysis between Ian and Magnus really shows their friendship... I gotta say in 2023 championship, Ian is not smiling as much as he did in the 21 championship
It looks like he's just a little bit more dead inside now
Yeah he is probably sad because he didn't get revenge on magnus. Magnus is happier then ever now probably
bro was communicating with letters
there was less pressure. Losing to Magnus was expected.
It's just a combination of bad chess journalism and not performing up to the mark against Ding. I think that's whats frustrated and throughout him championship.
"It could be quite unpredictable in blitz" this is a quite funny answer😂
I like these fun questions. Most of the other questions were either overly pretentious or critical during a time when both Ian and Magnus were under a ton of stress. It's nice to break the tension a bit.
6:10 and this question laid the foundations ding vs nepo!
4:30 face says it all
Ian answered the questions during 2021 world championship very nicely but during 2023 WCC his answers were little wierd and he shuts off many questions. And Ding was very humble and gentle and honest while answering that's why a lot many people rooted for ding during 2023wcc.
cmon its not over yet, no need for past tense.
The quality of games were much higher in 2021 WC compared to 2023. Almost all the matches here had blunders big enough for a GM to capitalize. Naturally having so kany blunders causes frustration.
The first 6 games of Magnus vs Nepo really shows the caliber of them both, it's a shame Nepo tilted after game 6.
This aged well ...
That two girls barely out of their teens playing chess for fun asked two of the better questions on the most important chess match of the year says a lot about the chess journalists .
Nah those were some cringe questions, atleast for me and Nepo
@@Shreyy17 bruh, the knight question was a joke betwen Andrea and Magnus
@@bernardoalbano1816 still cringe. Anna's question was genuinely interesting tho
I have to agree. Botez' joke didn't work for me, whereas I enjoyed Anna Cramling question. That said, the standard set by journalists was so low that really anything would work.
You mean chess journalism is so boring (and pretty dumb sometimes) that a cringey "question" from a teenage girl can lighten the mood for (at least one of) the players?
Magnus Carlsen rocks. First question and Last question superb answers
I like botez's question. Creative interrogating.
Or you’re just a simp
It came from a Twitch stream where she and her sister streamed with him and he gave her a clue in game by asking her if she knew how a knight moves.
The last question foreshadowing
fide needs to change something about these conferences, apart from some of these moments the conferences were pretty sad, not just dry but questionable from a journalistic perspective.
*"japanese samurai usually will sacrificed themselves as redemption. Would you do harakiri?"*
last question foreshadowing
I miss Magnus man
Maurice Ashley's head shape isn't normal.
The video deserves its title.
4:29 LMAO
literally me when i'm in discussion with smart people 😊
sweatingg sweat
Andrea didnt need the mic OMEGALUL
if with a 1k$ Hollywood microphone she sounds like she is using a 1$ AliExpress microphone with Africa internet
4:27 mom and dad are fighting ;-;
Maurice head got that mirror finish
Magnus knew he's been trolled by Anna and Andrea LOL
Good moments tbh.
that shine.
Actually the knight moves one square diagonal and one square straight
Actually, it's the reverse: one square orthogonally and one square diagonally.
And in blitz games, sometimes it moves rather unpredictably
They're analyzing games without the board 😂ah
Chess is cooool
how does the knight move? lol
only a quarter of murice's face is face
Did you guys skip the question from Sagar Shah and only the answers were shown?! 😄 Fear of copyright??
haha horsey go brrrrrt
Grandmaster Botez to the rescue! Strongest player in the country and such intellectual celebrity
did anyone get the last question?
Magnus Carlsen umm/ uh counter : 36
Why didn't you put Sagar's question in the video?
I Looooooooooovvvveeee Chessss!!! 😅
Welcome to the club.
@@Thelaretus thank you 🥂
whats ians response at 5:55?
I thought soccer journalists were the worst. I was wrong
you mean football 🥴
Maurice Ashley 🗿
Birthday cake???
4:30
What is the first question 😭😭
its an inside joke
Practically every single question was cringe or super obvious. This video is like picking the best from a pile of hot garbage. I feel bad for Nepo and Magnus.
Anna's question about e4 or d4 was cool.
There were actually a lot of good and funny questions. You're hating a bit too much
Most of the interview questions were dumb and shows the amateurish nature of the interviewers
What if we ask the GMs the questions they want to be asked?
like the type of questions they think they should be asked
then it wouldnt be a chess interview
I hate knights.. ))
How does the knights move? 🤡🤡🤡
Oh stop crying
Found the Botez simp
@@xshizu4248 You’re weird+L+Ratio

Chess journalists are worse at their jobs than bored teenager cashiers
