Fabi solves puzzles like he's mad at them, Levon solves them like a kid in a candy store.
That's Fabi's secret. He's always angry
@@neon1899underrated comment:)
I identify with Fabi
@@donquixote8462I identify as Fabi
I don't think he is mad, he is just shy, which is alright too
Levon seems like someone who you could just hangout and chill.
He's always smiling and laughing. He's a joy to watch.
Armenians ...
Sounds like you want to polish his lighthouse
@@khatch5454 yeah
With
Levon is like that one crazy uncle who just knows about the weirdest, most obscure information but somehow manages to make it relevant to the conversation at hand.
I dont know how to say but this comment is literally the perfect one
frfr
LMFAO
Levon is simply amazing!
Such a chill guy
Levy*
Levon Daratt
He is just guessing all the moves and luckily enough he got em right.
@@merdishakkiare you stupid?
With the rook endgame I think Fabiano being able to calculate Black's responses as well was definitely noteworthy. But yeah Levon was a machine this round
Fabiano is good at complex positions give him a complex position and he will be able to solve it quickly
That's what they all did though. One of the best and quickest ways to improve is to make an active effort to see the game from both sides so you can understand what your opponent wants to do and stop them. At that level they calculate everything from both ends, and often when they struggle it has more to do with them trying to figure out the response to their moves rather than the moves themselves.
@@Z3nt4 well the video specifically showed Liem saying "I don't know black's response"
@@Z3nt4 sort of yes, sort of no. Whilst Chirilla was saying White's responses for Levon and Qiem and then the GMs responded with Black's best move afterwards, Fabiano was saying Black's responses as well. He just got a little stuck at the end.
How uncle Roger will say "Fuiyoh!" 😂
Lev is insane at blind calculation, but i must admit, Fabim being able to sit there for 20s and figure out what he missed shows real mental
fortitude.
I paused the video for each, finally got the last one right and Fabi asks if it's even a puzzle 💀💀💀
Emotional damage
That's because every move is forced and the sequence is short, if you keep doing puzzles, learning patterns and improving your calculation you'll be able to solve puzzles like this instantly
Lol
Reminder of how strong Levon is
one of the best to ever play
He's the best tactical player with grischuk but they're both imbalanced
2013-2016 Magnus was like clearly Top 1 and Levon clearly Top 2, many people including me were anxious to a possible WCC match between them, unfortunately Levon did'nt manage to pull of his best at the candidates
As someone who plays the Vienna I was stunned at him pulling it out at the Poland tournament. He won too, what a player, especially at that age, he's aged pretty well i would say.
Kramnik was (still) at least as strong as Levon back then. The 2013 London Candidates (as well as as that year’s World Cup) proved Carlsen-Kramnik would be THE ideal WCC match.
Theres a reason Magnus said Levon was his fave opponent
Levon is the only player who would frequently outplay Magnus in the middle game in magnus' peak years,
@@megselv6633 He is also the top player who won the most amount of games in Classical against Magnus alongside Vishy, both tied at 8 wins each
Also Hikaru said Levon is the best player to never play a World Championship match.
Levon seems such a fun person to be around, not judging based off just this one interview!
I can watch Levon all day..
he is such a pleasant individual..
My favorite chess player
Levon is such a genius. Absolutely loved some of his games over the years. Guy is definitely underrated.
exactly, they just happen to be overshadowed by magnus who is a super genius :P
Watching Le struggle at 5:35 and then Levon almost instantly grasp the Ke5! idea is incredible. Levon is a freak, my favorite player no doubt.
That's the difference between a gm and a super gm
@@nicolagemusaThey are both super GMs
@@nicolagemusaAs of now, Le is higher on the fide list than Levon. Next time do your homework 😉
@@aries2764Levon is the 4th highest rated in history, forms and everything is temporary, next time you do your homework 👍
@@shashishekhar---- so what? both are super gms anyway, you and the other dude can't read or what?
12:02 Fabi is confused like why did they give such a simple puzzle suddenly
He was actually trying to be funny but he is socially awkward lol
@@KarlMarxBR700 I found it funny
@@KarlMarxBR700 I wouldn't say Fabi is socially awkward, but he did seem off this video, not like his usual self
@@jordanvespa720 yh I agree. In plenty of other videos he seems like a chill guy but I could tell right away in this video that he wasnt himself
@@jordanvespa720Yeah, probably just a bad day.
Levon is that dad who always win in a certain thing and laugh exactly like him.
As Garry chess once said "The chess world is a better place when Aronian is playing well"
Two things..
Levon is an absolute BEAST. & #2, yall should post more of these. It was really fun to work through together! Great video!
From a neuropsychologist/chess beginner point of view this is amazing. Specifically, how the language of chess (Nf6, Qxg6, etc) combined with the mental representation of the board is so automatized in their brain that it's almost like they are bilingual (or trilingual, English + native language + chess lol). Really cool to see.
EDIT: Im calling it the "language of chess", but I realize it's not a language in and of itself. I meant that it reminds me of language because of how automatic it is for them. They use it so efficiently that a line sounds like a full sentence :D
Yes, but what is even more fascinating is that the area of the brain which is utilised a lot in chess positions is the same area that is used for facial recognition and not language.
@@colorsofsound4782 patterns
@colorsofsound really interesting. Where did you hear this? Studying those brains must be fascinating
From a human perspective I think the game is very good
I'm not sure it's the language itself that's really that exciting; it's essentially jargon just like how engineers or doctors talk with those in their similar profression because in chess, that is the traditional way of speaking. The mental representation part is really cool though, especially with the ability of not only remembering a position but being able to make a move on a position you have memorized
GM Aronian was on fire 🔥
For the record, here are the composers of the studies :
2 Kasparyan (after fifth move!)
3 Szaja Kozlowski
4 Alexei Troitsky
5 Herbstmann and Kubbel (after first move)
Composers' names should always be mentioned.
fabiano actually saying "whats the puzzle" at the last one caught me off guard
that made me fall out my chair 💀
Well if you play chess long enough then puzzles stop being puzzles on chess because you have seen it all
A mate in 4 being so simple it's laughable, lol.
I can't even imagine what their regular lives are like with such amazing memories. These people are truly special.
A video with fabiano, levon and Le quang liem. Perfect combination of friendly personalities
Lev has a wealth of chess knowledge. His Armenian GM colleagues always speak highly of him
Levon is so wholesome!
Levon is like the skate boarder who is also an enigmatic genius 😂
Love how levon just laughs his way to the answer like it’s the easiest thing in the world. Effortless
Aronian! Seems like such a pleasant person to sit across. So long as it’s not over a chess board.
Levon was crazy! Fantastic puzzle-solving from him, and he clearly demonstrated great knowledge regarding these studies, most of them him having seen before.
Levon's having a great time and I can't help but smile watching him.
levon has incredible mental toughness, his wife died in 2020 but he is still a top player after such devastating personal loss,as someone said the reason they are top player because they are mentally tough
Levon is such a puzzle king
I love to see how Levon gets excited. I love him. Go Levon
“What did you think I didn’t solve it?” Is kind of a badass thing to say after going perfect
Levon is simply amazing to watch. Cheerful, fun guy who also happens to be a legend!
Grandmaster Aronian seems like a pretty chill dude
Levon must be a beast at puzzle rush.
Levon vs Hikaru puzzle rush?
@@SweetDream2346that would be dun to watch
Brilliant Video, would love to see more of this
Damn levon came prepared for puzzle rush
Liem Le is a blitz beast
12:40 SUPER GM LEVON WITH THE REVERSE UNO OF TRICKING HIM INTO THINKING HE DIDNT SOLVE IT THEN SOLVED IT IMMEDIATELY HAHA
Fabi found the last one so easy he had to pause and confirm what the goal was lol.
Levon is an absolute beast. A smiling beast
Watching super GMs show why they're super is so cool, the things their minds recall and can store is amazing.
What a chill guy is levy
Levon is a brilliant puzzle solver 🤯
I love Fabi being so concerned on the last one. The danger sense of “Oh sht am I dumb? What am I missing”
Levon solves the position before I even realize where are the pieces
Great video! Bring more please!
It's just insane how they can do that.. incredible. Love these vids too!!!
Congrats Levon! How do they calculate so deep so fast like that?!?
Thanks for the video, helped me realize I'm slow at puzzles because I concentrate too much on one line at a time instead of scanning for good candidate moves. Once I found Qg7 for the final puzzle it was easy! But I thought too long about the lines that quickly went wrong
Yeah, it seems guys on that level find the first move instantly bc their intuition and experience is on such a high level, then it’s matter of technique to calculate the rest without even looking. Mind blowing.
Amazing. I didn t know Levon and I will follow him, his mind speed is insane.
That Kasparyan study with Qa3 Rd2 Rb2 was so DISGUSTING, I went and took a shower
I need more videos like these! That was a blast to watch.
I wish this was an hour longer.
Levon is just nuts
Levon is easily the most chill guy
From the very first puzzle Levon is blowing my mind
kind of incredible that they recognize puzzles out of thousands if not tens of thousands of puzzles
Levon is simply amazing man .. such a joy to watch him solve .. :)
Hikaru is better
@@Notorious224 don't think so, Hikaru is better under 5 minutes though
fabi thinking outside the box thats why he take time..true genius
Levon no tan solo es el más rápido e inteligente sino el más simpático, termina de resolver un problema y se mata de risa con el entrevistador 😂
none of them have a tan bro
The strongest player to never win the world championship is often said to be Levon Aronian.
Levon Aronian had a string of games long ago where he was destroying opponents in a tournament with the black pieces so badly it made you think twice if white going first had any advantage :P
Levon is just a bright light of Chess.
Levon passed the vibe check 😂
Levon seems to have fun solving these puzzles
Levon is a monster.
Guys with names like Levon are great at chess and arm wrestling.
Aronian- Ahhhhh!!
Opponent- Resign
Levon pretending to struggle with the last one 😆
Levon solves them like 1+1=2
Fabi looks like somebody forced him to go to this event 😅
Holy shit. I cannot get enough of Levon. He's so awesome.
Love these, keep it up
Man, Lev is a monster at these.
That's so super human to do that with nothing more than a glance ❤
Even when they're incorrect, they're doing some amazing analysis by memory.
Just incredible. Well done, gentlemen.
Levon is Amazing
Fabiano on the last one "What's the puzzle?" :D Because it was so easy, he was wondering if that was the puzzle at all.
Levon is a Legend.
They're all great but Levon is just from another planet
In love with this kind of content
These guys are ridiculously good!
Andale Perro
Levon is everyone's best friend
Levon is a vibe hahah
Levon is a genius
Levon is a beast..
Levon is a beast and Joy to watch
The 2nd one (Kasparyan study) is rather lame because you don't have to play ...Rxa3, black can be stubborn, refuse to take the queen and play ...b2+ and prolong the game for like another 25 moves to force a king and rook mate.
Thought I was crazy/couldn't believe they didn't point this out, but I checked it with the fish.
For puzzle 2 stockfish says you can play b2 after Rd2 instead of Rxa3
In the first one, I got as far as Qxg6+,fxg; Nf6 dbl check, Kh8 (forced), but I got stuck on the idea of Bf8+, when Bh5 blocks, and didn't think of Bg7, the sacrificial double check. KxB forced, Rh7+ (N on f6 covering). Then Kf8 or f6, Rf7#. It's actually fairly obvious when you know it's a composition, not from a game -- then you don't calculate, just look for what's beautiful. The nagging loose end: what if he doesn't take the Queen? then Kh8; Qh7#, all tied up with a bow. Lovely.
Le quang liem!!!
More of these!
Simply Amazing!!👍👍
Levon genius and nice person
“we saved the easiest for last” 💀me going zero out of 6.
true genius here is fabi..levon already seen the puzzle
