Sadly tsunami warning systems seem to have significantly less reliable than can reasonably be expected. They require regular maintenance which too many places seem to defer. Another problem has been equipment used in the warning system getting destroyed by the preceding earthquake. I've long been thinking that more international cooperation with metereology and disaster avoidance would be a significant efficiency boost from not doing the same work in a hundred different organisations and allow for better service in poorer countries. I really don't know what I'm talking about though.
I agree, a global network sharing data would be far more useful than having individual ones for different locations. Interesting points about the maintenance, developing countries are less likely to be able to afford it so that would be another positive of a global network. Thanks for watching 😊
