I'll go first:
Mine has those fake intakes for the brakes. Plastic headlights (all modern cars do). Somewhat fake-y diffuser. And worst of all - oversized exhaust with a small pipe siting inside it 😒
But the leather is real. Door handles are real metal, as well as all the brushed metal details in the interior.
What’s your car?
What car is that?
Lemme guess
Some Audi?
@@sufianshahid3690 sure sounds like one… and if it is then based on his comment about the “oversized exhaust with a small pipe” it’s probably an a4 or a5 🤔
@@patzer6018 your right...
I actually like seeing fake badges, because they're so hillarious. One of my neighbours have "Palisade N Quattro" on his hyundai and it's really the joy of my life.
remove that shit for his own good.
i'm sure ppl with fake badges know exactly what impression it's gonna give off
Quattro lmfao
Duster dCi 110 RS Sport right here
I've seen a swift with merc logo

Man, stype keeps swinging and hitting all the time, good job man and I wish you success!
The fake engine sounds get me the most, especially the old ones on the VW Golf that just sounded like a cat slowly dying.
MANY FACTS MAN fake stuff makes the cara worst

Honestly I didn't even know a lot of the stuff on cars was fake until I saw this video. Good job bringing awareness, Stype.
Not sure if this was sarcasm or not 🤔
@@TopCarsTV sure doesnt sound like sarcasm
@@TopCarsTV If he doesn't know about car, he sure doesn't know about fake equipments, including badges which if you don't know basic car market landscape (basic car, sport car (RS), sport trim car(RS line)) , is kinda blurry.
Like, get my point, if you don't know shit about cars you don't even know what 220 CDI means, so why would you understand that it can't be a real amg
@@TopCarsTV It wasn't. It's very funny when people cant tell if I'm being sarcastic or not. 😆
I agree with everything accept the plastic headlights, not having to worry about stones destroying the headlights, or even the heat from the bulbs cracking the glass, id rate that as positive, because honestly, polishing the headlights after 10-15 years, not a big deal, the car would probably need an entire polish afther that amount of time.
(Granted it might be worse in more Southern countries with more sun)
Nah where I live where it normally hot you have to polish them every 1 to 2 years no matter how new
@@niggachad_1 Shit, if that were the case for me I'd also be pissed, well I'm from Scandinavian so I guess we get less sun since my parentes Volvo V70 with 100k miles and 15 years old just started to fog up absolut a year ago
Our first gen Cayenne never needed any polish for the headlights, they were pretty clean.
most durability problems with glass can get fixed with duck tape or a thin plastic cover
austrian here, most modern headlights do not need to be polished here
To solve the sound problem there's a much cheaper solution: just remove the sound insulation, so you'll hear your real engine sounds, and not those idiotic speaker sounds.
Some of these fake diffusers/lips serve a purpose, they often separate the airflow or create small vortices to increase econemy (but I agree that most of them are just annoying, like the new Supra.)
i was about to say the gt350s grill is blocked off that in that specific way to create\channel air flow i believe soo maybe not fake perchance but things like the supra and civic definitely just do it for show and it looks really tacky
@@zer0is387new Supra is ugly😝 Old Supra was fuckin better.
The new Civic Type R and the GR86 are a good step in the right direction. I also was shocked when I first found out about the GT500 and GT350 grilles, ruined these cars for me.
Something we have to give BMW credit for, is that the vents in the front of the G80/82 M3/4 are all real.
But on cars like the X5M (I know is not an M), they made the grills too big and so they blocked it. Similar effect with the 7 series, iX, X7 and i7 and more of their long grills.
I know the fl5 look good and the type r supposed to be sleeper in ek9
To fd2 and start know era of flashy type r but the fk8 look good even when its rice car
@@mohammadmohammad1118 The FK8 is ricer car by stock 😅
@CreepyCreo honda figured people would rice them so they said what the hell😂😂
@@creepycreo9004 The pre 2023 X5M (a true M car btw, because it gets all the true M stuff) had no blocked off portions as far as I know of. The side vents had carbon bits that directed the air into the openings, but everything that had a mesh/honeycomb/whatever was open. I dunno about the brand new one.
Stype, gotta say you make great content man… perfect blend of creativity, humor, and cold hard truth on this one!
The smaller amount of fake vents on the new Civic Type-R is something that makes me like it more; its just what it needs and that's it, also that is something that make the Civic Type-R a interesting sleeper for me, it looks a innocent econobox made for the average driver that goes from A to B, but inside its a car that likes to go _fast_
well that's a bit hard to apply on the new Civics Type-R, with that massive wing and the red Type-R logo on the trunk, doesn't really look like an sleeper anymore, but still can engage some tomfoolery around the track
The fake engine noise from speakers is a turn down for me.
You forgot the fake brake caliper
2:08 Downforce *SQUEAKY!!!!*
6:30 with modern design it's really difficult to make headlight covers out of glass
You can shape glass the way you want, it's only more expensive to do so.
To take plastic instead of real glass also is about weight, costs and safety for pedestrians.
Mine is pretty light on the fakery as far as a modern...ish car goes... (thank goodness!!!) it actually has real leather AND real wood!!! (but also real fake chrome... and those damned plastic headlight covers.) Your commentary was absolutely on point. I'm glad there are others out there that are absolutely fed up with all this fake crap.
This was such an entertaining way to start my day. Thanks for the video.
Epic informative video, you helped me more than you expected.
Im Muslim and so, I go to mosques on friday, and I swear, once I saw a second gen(XP90) Toyota Yaris hatchback, with a Nissan GT-R Badge behind the front grille, I pointed it out to my dad, and as a Nissan Employee and driver, he had a good laugh about it with me, and once, I saw a current gen Corolla with a Type-R badge on the trunklid, right next to the toyota logo
What does that have to you being Muslim and going to mosque on sunday?
@@indopleaser It's probably because he saw the car with the fake badge at the mosque's parking lot.
That's just a presumption though, I don't really know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@indopleaser its where i saw the poser yaris, and I go on fridays, not sundays
Ok Bro
yeah even I experienced the same many time's 😂
These vids are the best. Keep it up, Stype!
I don't own a car yet but I do agree with the fake exhaust thing. I mean, be blunt if you have one exhaust like the old JDM cars (even Chevy Cobalt SS is still being honest to herself).
3:31 Then there's me putting 'NISMO' badge on my old ass 2007 Avanza. 😂
I’ve considered putting Shelby emblems on my Lincoln MKZ lmao
The fake badges are gold. I once saw a Toyota Yaris with a BMW logo and a GTR badge lol
congrats! great channel bro!!!
Love your content

Imo I think the Fake vents in the FK8 Civic Type R is actually helping with style. The fake vents maybe noticable but atleast it's not like the FL5 Type R which is being more plain and boring than a Modern Day Mcdonald's Restaurant.
The legend is back when we most needs him
I actually used to cut the fake intakes with my Dremel. It took a long time to do, and after I got a car with damage from water when raining and it was whistling when I drove it fast because of the wind 😅
"Civic cant outrun a bugatti"
Laptop laughing in the corner
A Stock civic can't outrun a stock Bugatti. And a tuned Civic can't outrun an equally tuned Bugatti either. Comparing stock to modified cars is always strange
@@DefinitelyNotEmma built vs bought my man thats the whole debate
@@MasterB.8 It's a useless debate because these two categories cater to very different people. Not only that "built" is a vast spectrum of cars, some may modify their cars to restore it, to increase performance or for aesthetic reasons.
And I'm certain most people would take a stock Bugatti over a modded Civic, let alone because the former doesn't blow it's engine up because a Ricer overboosted it.
@@DefinitelyNotEmma coming back to my original point though, you could outrun a bugatti with a tuned civic while spending way less money than the bugatti and thats the entrie appeal of the building vs buying. Im not saying that any modified car can beat any stock car, but some definitly can
@@MasterB.8Outrunning a Bugatti with a tuned Civic would be possible but the car wouldn't be a Civic anymore 😭😭😭
3:28 me after seeing a car from Kerala in top carsTV. 😱
After realising it's about fake badges 😶
Trueee i was also shocked 😂
Uggghhh. Faded Headlights.....agree on making me ANGRY
I ONLY DRIVE BEAT UP OLD EARLY 70'S FLATBED FARM TRUCKS THAT SOUND LIKE HELL!!!
AND I'M DAMN PROUD!!!
The worst engine noise fakery was when ford made the ecoboost mustang play v8 sounds out of the speakers
The river joke was smooth man 😂
The most That I hated Morden vehicle is fake exhaust tip
From RICERS to Manufacturers....there are A LOT of dumb ideas being glued, molded in, or built into cars that don't make any sense in the long run.
I saw a Smart Car the other day with a "S-Class Evacuation Pod" sticker on the rear and I liked that kind of fakery
I saw a smart Gen1 convertible with SL 600 badge on the back. That was kind of funny and also kind of true. 😆 (It has 600 ccm)
0:49 That "nothing" sounded personal.😂z
I’ve owned two M550d touring (the wagon). Some of the fakery but less than you might think. No fog lights in the front spoiler ( which didn’t try to be a splitter) because the ZF 8 speed needed a separate oil cooler so the other intake had the mesh but blanked. They had extended lips on the tail door ((9 mm, changed radius) to reduce “rear end float” at stupid autobahn speeds. The body kit was the same (ish) as any BMW 5 series wagon… but not really. Front and rear wings were wider because of the vehicle’s (unique) wider track.
BUT…
It had fake noise, trying to make a 3 turbo, straight 6 diesel sound like a normally aspirated straight pipe V8. I managed to get rid of the annoyance by a bunch of work in the software. It didn’t go any different, instead it sounded real (awful at tickover, wonderful between 200 and 5000 revs.
Fake noise = 10/10
Sorry, 2000 and 5000 revs
FACTS. My new integara has fake side vents on the front fenders
The small grille on the Shelby directs the air to the right place if the grille was bigger it wouldn't be better
I literally binge watched all of this man's videos and I wasn't subscribed? Damn.
Almost 10 years ago I got a normal Lancer, it was a higher spec but not the AWD, the last owner had put a Ralliart badge on the back, it was the first thing I removed. It also has a big factory spoiler which does nothing, I actually removed it for a couple of years. Plastic headlights are for safety and they don't tend to break as easy with stones, what is annoying is some still get sucked into buying the factory headlight protectors, which are also plastic! My biggest issue with fake things are the vents and exhaust, luckily my cars have real exhaust tips that are connected to the engine!
I agree 100% with each and every one of them, well said sir
I saw a Jeep Cherokee from the early 2000's with the M stripes and the Audi S logo
We all hate vents that don't vent
In South Africa MANY people drive around in Mercs with the basic 200 engine but with the AMG badge on the back🤣 BMW does it as well an "M" badge on a 318i or 320i
I had cars with fake carbon interior: One on the dashbord (Ford Focus ST) and one on the seats (Seat Leon Cupra). I'm really not a fan of it, that came as standard with no other option. My car now (Cupra Leon) has a stupid diffusor thingy and also fake sound. At least the quad-pipes are real.
I don't like fake sound, but if you would hear the inline-3 of the i8 without that fake, it would be even more awkward. I thing BMW wanted to mimic a typical inline-6 sound. It doesn't sound that bad IRL.
Gosh, stype just keeps posting bangers. This man deserves that golden plaque now.
havent watched yet BUT i really like ev exterior sound and interior if done right
its just modulated music right in the end
What a great review
I agree with you on these trends
The most infuriating fake thing are buttons.
Instead of having actual physical buttons they all now have these crappy touch sensitive button.
Just look at the VW ID 3 steering wheel. All just these touch sensitive buttons. You press them often accidentally, and when you want to press it, you have to look at the wheel to know where the button is instead of felling it. In general, you want to keep your eyes on the road, instead on looking where the button for the climate control is.
Infuriating Level
10/10
Oh I'll get to that topic too, believe me.
Yeah I was especially infuriated when the roma released, i feel turning the key to the car makes it more alive, even if that's gone, the start stop button just feels satisfying to push, especially in a sports car, just look at Lamborghinis, they make the process of starting a car so special, and then ferrari give a touch button.
I saw a GTR badge on a micra 😂
A deflector came in stock with such a slow car as Volga 24--02 station wagon, issued in 1972. It was designated to evade dirtying of the rear window, however, didn't work well in this tole too.
I was expecting for the Countach to appear at the "Fake Aero" part.
Great vid keep it up
As a lady viewer (of a few years!) thank you for the inclusion;)
Sometimes the fake badging can actually be hilarious
I saw an old Mercedes C-Class with an Audi S Line badge
Not an S badge
But S Line
A badge which shows that your diesel A1 has a sporty bumper
I've seen a dark blue VW Polo with V12 and M badges
Beat that.
@@TopCarsTV A Fiat with Ferrari badges instead of the actual Fiat badges.
ok, you win.
Although, Ferrari is owned by Fiat, so there is some connection.
@@TopCarsTVI never knew Fiat owned the big F.
@@BlitzenBugatti Just checked... not any more. Although, it did before
Nothing can match the first generation Fabia Junior with the vRS badge on the trunk lid, the one with unpainted bumpers. I have truly seen such monstrosity.
Just imagine a stripped-down hatchback with a 37 kW 1.0 petrol engine on which there is a badge from a hot-hatch with a 96 kW 1.9 TDI engine.
4x4s with lifts, big tires, snorkels, roof tents, light bars, red tow points, traction boards without a single bush scratch anywhere on the body or under carriage. The fake is in the driver seat.
Thr king has returned
On the Type-R's spoiler, if by work, you mean 'adds weight and drag, thus making the car slower, but able to take turns a couple of miles per hour faster if you are on a race track designed for a front-wheel drive car, but not on any city road made, ever', then yes.
1 acception for the trim. Forged carbon fiber wrap it just looks good to me even if it was fake plus I did not know it was that before lol I was like 15 when I got it
my question is why don't they put real vents it is less materials and performs better, I see 2 reasons to why they don't make it real.
1- to make the car more solid for impacts.
2- when there is too much air the car runs worse.
Yes Nice vid again
Got an idea for The next one
7 most famous engines like The 2jz in The supra or the 1lr gue in The Lexus or the v6 violin just an idea
That's a very nerdy topic. Not exactly the kind that I usually do here
But who knows. Maybe one day if I find a way to make it funny
Automakers: "Dont write that down DONT WRITE THAT DOWN!"
I agree 100% with fake badges. I own sleeper cars because I love them. I have a 14 SHO. I'm honestly surprised I've yet to see a fake SHO badged Taurus lol.
I’ve kept the stock muffler on my mb 200cdi even tho it restricts a bit with a tune, because it’d just sound so horrible
hey Stype tbh at 4:13 my parents have a Bmw 220d Active Tourer Sport edition you know the Family Van who is also a DIESEL (ewww) i got myself an Subaru Legacy 3.0R Spec B limousine wich is 100times more fun ^^ great video btw greetings from Germany
I literally found a BMW with the RS badge on it😂
Thanks for telling us the truth
I saw an RSX with a full on Integra badge with the Type-R!!!
that is actually a good ideea, hoping i can find it though, wraping the worm down car inside with chrome/carbon to improve that worm down look it has, if its not broke why replace it xd, i need to try fix my used car i just brought interior somehow for cheap so i think that may be the fastest solution, sure getting new parts will make it look better but at the same time it will still look plastic, i also need buy some real leather to wrap my worm down steering wheel.
Another addition I think would be worthwhile are plastic fog light inserts. I know that they're a necessary evil, but automakers could have at least used body colored plastic. But no, people who couldn't afford anything more than the base trim level are stuck with those ugly black plastic inserts that broadcast to the world how poor you are, as well as being a constant reminder of what you could have had. The same sentiment also applies to cheap blank switches in the interior.
I mean it wouldn't cost the company more than 200 dollars to add real fog lights to the base trim since the holes are already there
@@niggachad_1 why not insert a cheap speakers if the holes already there?
you should have mentioned how honda fixed their ways with the new type-R
i remember hating on those front fake vents then after a few months later i saw a few car dudes drive around with newer mitsubishi mirages where they actually made the fake vents have a purpose lmao
The GT350 left grill whould work if they design a proper chamfer to it.
Plastic on headlights are also plastic, because producing shapes on plastic is much more easier and cheaper. Glass covers, as you may have noticed are way more simpler in shape.
I like some amg series comes with “quad” tip exhaust but when you’re behind you could clearly see there’s only two
The new Civic (especially the Type R) is even more proof that smooth bodywork is 100% better than fake vents
Plastic headlights are imposed by safety regulations, as glass can do more harm on a pedestrian collision. The other, totally agree
The Koenigsegg Regera has an exhaust pipe that isn't really an exhaust pipe. I think it's a fan. The Regera has two very small exhausts on either side of the false one.
Veyron has extra two exhausts hidden besides that big central one
@@TopCarsTVI think I've seen some Bugatti's with the extra exhausts.
www.notre350z.com/forum/files/uploads/brice/1195687643_27.jpg
Technically an exhaust, just not for the engine. And yes, it is the exhaust for the batteries' cooling fans.
I once saw a Persian-American gentleman put a BMW badge on an old Chevy Lumina from the 90’s at a car show. Real!!
My 2015 Jetta has one of those tiny spoilers. I thought it looked better with it than without. The interior has a lot of fake plastic carbon fiber trim, but the handles and all the metallic trim is real.
Mustang always had fake vents, go back to de SN95, side scoop's are fake, or the 69 side vents were fake
I'm glad my 7 gti still has real exhaust
BMW SUPRA had me killing 🤣
I run 435i with stage 2+ (around 430hp) and replaced the 435i badge with 418i (1.5 3 cylinder) :D
That's a very evil thing to do. I like it!
I actually bought a car that lacked the badges for the performance package it came with. Even the name badge on the back of the car was just rubber and one of the letter partially broke off within 2 years.
1:01 BMW Supra, nailed it.
3:30 This car is from Greece and I can confidently say you can find worse. Thats the average "smart" thing I have seen XD
0:59 the Supra has those intakes to allow for modifications. You also have the option of switching those to real ones
You are wrong

I put a chrome "Police Interceptor" emblem on my Honda Element. I get positive feedback because it is purely for fun & humor😀
Except that glass headlights tend to overheat... Causing a blackout problem in some cars when you least want it
I saw a legit Bugatti emblem on a kid's rusty Ford Ranger.
I hope there was great story involving Pilsner behind it.
Talking about vent. Daihatsu Yaris Sedan have usfully bumper vent and of course it's goes to front wheels for no reason
