Happy that the Multipla is getting an honorable mention at least. That car is pure practical design, and it is a masterpiece. And the more new cars are building a bunker around you the more you will appreciate the huge windows and the good visibility it offers on top of the practicality.
The only thing is, it was never offered with the crazy five cylinder Fiat engines of the era (2.0 2.4 2.0 turbo). They should have made a performance version...
Some french guy made a 1000hp multipla with a rocket bunny bodykit
It’s a minivan, what performance do you need?😂

Your take on EVs is perfect! I've been saying the same FOREVER.
Hopefully legislators and manufacturers can smarten up soon and realize that enthusiast cars are a niche and should be treated much differently amongst the truck/SUV/crossover-dominant market we've been in.
Same with mechanical wrist watches in a world of smartwatches.
There's a reason why Rolex doesn't have a smartwatch.
Nah, you're both just deluding your selves if you actually believe that nonsense.
@@Dominik189 How so? It's all.. common sens- I mean, wishful thinking of course, but who do you think gets the bad shake on this?
Production is the most pollutive point in a car's life, making everyone shift to new cars overnight in the name of environmentalism is ridiculous, best plan of attack would be to maintain preexisting ICEs as long as possible while adding maximum value to any more made (as enthusiasts already do!!) while letting EVs evolve and truly earn their keep eating away at the marketplace.
Situations like this are the best position a free market society could possibly be in.
@@Troy_K one word, Government, when exactly was it that governments actually stuck ti the Best plaans...
Electric cars also create CO2, just not locally. It varies between the kind of power used. A VW ID.3 creates 90g/km in France, but 500g/km in Poland. Simply because the electricity in Poland is mostly made by coal.
Synthetic fuels are the better solution, as they even take CO2 from the athmosphere for their production
6:06 to be fair, the Supra is less than half the price of the GTR or NSX
Everything you said about the SSR was spot on. I always liked the car even as a kid. Someday I hope to own one or at least drive one
Just recently saw one for the first time and I loved it. They sound and look great imo. If I were to collect cars this would be one I'd love to get.
My 2006 FPR (Final Production Run) SSR with the 6.0L LS2 and 6 speed needs to find a new loving owner that can give it the care it deserves.
Here in the UK, the tiny number which come on the market exchange hands for the same kind of money as Ferraris.
It looks like an S10 butt fucked a Volkswagen beetle.... Men who go to family reunions to meet women like this automotive genital wart....
That graphic comparing the old JDM tuners to them now really feels rough.
The Supra sits at the same theoretical same price that it did back in the 80s, considering inflation. Meanwhile the R35 GTR and NSX hit closer to 6 figures, the Supra remains at ~$50K.
The Supra remains king 👑

I’ve never thought about EVs like that. That’s actually facts
i actually see a LOT of tuning potential, and will increase alongside the development of better and more efficient batteries/motors. As long as the car companies do not decide to go full satan and make them unrepairable.
Only problem is that not everyone is going to have a ferrari or an exotic car in the future. Most people/ car enthusiasts aren't that rich. By removing ice cars, the prices of used ones will naturally go up and the prices will eventually skyrocket. EVs just lack the sound, the excitement and the agility of normal cars, but that is just my opinion. Going full electric on regular cars is weird and it might cause big problems internationally with the amount of batteries / electrical energy that will be required.
I agree, they are just appliances. Cars have no character these days only big screens in the dash..... but thats exactly what people want I guess.,.,. Just appliances

i prefer the 3rd one over the 2nd one,
It's super cool but the Nd is much way cooler in terms of looks

to be honest don’t like the new facelift Toyota Prius but i prefer the old Toyota Prius because I really like design on older Toyota Prius
I agree. I don't know why most people just hate their 2nd gen design. I know that it is boring, but it isn't offensive, and do the job of an econobox. All of that with a cheap price made it very popular back then.
The 2nd and 3rd gen Prius my favourite
I like old prius more than new one

Yeah, like when it comes up to Cars, stupid humans judge the poor cars by its cover. I mean, the 2008 Toyota Prius, I love the pudgy-slope-y design of the 2008 Prius. Plus I think that car year, make, and model, the 2008 Toyota Prius is one adorable car. I like the 2003 Lamborghini Gallardo-inspired headlights, and the pudgy, cute tail lights.
I don't understand the hate towards one of my favorite cars, the new defender. People wanna see it as a rugged successor to the defender of late, but it's an evolution. Its more refined, and the interior is a huge step up from the old one. It's arguably equally capable off-road. It's one of the best off-roaders on the market, and y'all need to appreciate the good things about it.
The issue was that they kept making the original for so long with only minor updates. So when the new one was announced, everyone was expecting a retro-looking nod to the original, inside and out, but with mod-cons you’d expect of the 21st century. Instead, it looked very different to the original, was very pricey and went so modern in the off road tech, it just wasn’t seen as a successor to the original, just a “Super Discovery”. But don’t fret, the hate has sort of died away, especially since aftermarket firms have started making accessory packages for it. I still really like as it is from factory, very cool design with great capabilities when roughing it out.
It's also stupid expensive
what about the mechanical and electrical issues. Part of the appeal of the old car was that you could keep it running for decades. The new one looks amazing but I lost interest after hearing the horror stories
It is not an upgrade from the 90 series

If you still are complaining that the Supra GRMN with 500hp is too slow, Brian O' Connor and Smokey Nagata, you doomed the whole Supra community. The Supra was meant to be driven in the track or twisties. It's a GT Sports Car and not a 1 Barbillion Horsepower Drag Machine. That's the reason stock supras produce only 320HP Stock.
I agree with the you about making normal car electric but performance limited and race car still engine power. We didn't have emotional feeling to a normal 1.3 economy plastic car😂😂
I think the hate for the Defender is stupid. I mean, doesn't mean that because is not so retro looking as the previous ones, that is bad car. Also, i particularly think it looks amazing! I already had the oportunity to see one in real life, and i loved it! Especially the rear end.
They never improved their build quality/reliability, its basically a good looking shitbox

Well with EVs there are many concerns that they are not what they show themselves. I do not want to go down that route fully, but I want to mention one often neglected factor: weight.
Most modern EVs are super heavyweight compared to their ICE counterparts (300-400 kilos extra at least) which is very dangerous for all other cars on the road. In any collision this extra weight can contribute to higher injuries and more risk, yet we are not talking about this topic. And if you want to have bigger range, that means more battery which translates to more weight... A never ending story.
So true.
And a rivian or F150 lightning probably still does more damage to the environemendt than VW Golf or BMW 120i.
I own a MX5 NC and I love it. Yes it’s heavier, but for good reason. As you said it has a folding hard top roof, heated seats, Bose sound system, more head space, a 2.0L engine and a better looking body. Because of the “hate” the aftermarket parts range is limited which is annoying but all in all it’s a great car I use everyday. Even in Scottish winters like right now.
I'm already certain it's not on the list because it doesn't really fit the usual type of a "hated car" but I think the Rolls-Royce Cullinan received way too much hate.
It has a great interior, a beautiful side profile and the exterior design in general looks exactly like a Rolls-Royce SUV would look by default.
It's a plush luxury castle on wheels and didn't deserve all the scrutiny it got upon release. I'd take it over something like a Phantom, Benteyga, Ghost or Mulsanne every day. Only the Flying Spur or Wraith would make me go with the less practical sedan or coupé body style.
I wouldn't say that it got too much hate. At least, I haven't read much. Since everyone and their mother is making an SUV, it was an expected move from RR too, plus it fits their lineup.
Some people hate that it's yet another SUV, but that hate is diluted between all the other SUVs as well.
OK, it's ugly. That's a reason to hate it too.
@@TopCarsTV People like Jeremy Clarkson or Christ Harris hated it quite a lot. It definitely got ridiculed
Cullinan got a lot of hate?
To me it was just like the Bentley Bentayga or Mercedes GLS, big luxury SUVs that are meant to bring the upper class from point A to B. Competent at carrying luggage to your local golf club too. I'll never get one in my hands but I can see why there would be a market for these. At least, for those people who fear scraping on the sidewalk.
@@TopCarsTV I think Rolls Royce could get away with it too. Their older cars did a good job of travelling on unpaved and untamed roads as chariots of the mining lords in Africa.
It's a hideous pos
Are we forgetting the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Convertible?
Just like the T-Roc, (and all Land Rovers) could go offroad, but mainly beach drives with the top down.
(Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet should soak up the former 2's hate)
They also forgot the first few SUVs/Jeeps were also Convertibles.
honestly this man is so honest, and that is what I love, good job 👍
With the exception of EVs and or hybrids I actually like all the cars you showed in your top 10 list especially the SSR and amazingly even though I’m not a Ferrari fan (more a muscle car fella) the 400 is on the small list of Ferraris I do actually like. Getting back to EVs and Hybrids being Aussie and not living in a major city EVs are absolutely pointless specially when you’re going further out into the Boonies where a lot of the times the roads aren’t even paved let alone there being any sort of recharging system. Don’t get me wrong though EVs do have a place in modern Aussie cities but like most places around the world as government or fleet cars as not everybody can afford them or even have their own car space/garage let alone a charging station or again even the money to afford one.
same here in new york. my f150 eco boost gets 250 miles for 45 dollars and 5 mins at the pump. the technology is not there yet.

The Miata NC looks happy to be there
Dunno why, but I get to be happy when I see this channel uploads in my phone's notification 👌🏼🔥
I was literally just watching TopCars and a new video popped up. Nice! :>
T-Roc Cabriolet is terrible. A car that only 60+ people buy, I’m serious
1:49 Duude, I couldn't have said it better myself. I really think the NC2 or NC3 is the one to get out of all the MX-5s right now (until the ND falls in price lol)
No. That ugly NC is the worst
For the Mk.V Supra(J29), in fact: This is the Supra developed by Toyota Gazoo Racing and in collaboration with BMW, it shares the platform, wheelbase, wide track and low center of gravity with the BMW Z4(G29).
Everything you said here was completely spot on. Great list Stype.

True, NC Miata is the best looking one.
Fully agreed with the new defender,i also love the old design and didn't like the new one at first but after seeing new defender's everyday I got used to it,also is very capable beside looking a more luxury focus rover,it got from a 4 cylinder for those who want a 110 defender but don't wanna see the gas station everyday, and you also can get a 5.0l 550 hp supercharged V8,not to talk about his off-road tech, even a my 71 yo grandmother could do off-road in this,is just lovely, a boxy off-road comfortable SUV that also, can be easy to live with.

What's wrong with him?????
100% on the nc mx5 !!!! Always loved it and also now its the best option having the less rust and being the youngest mx5 on the road other than the nd
I really hope the emissions will ease up a bit and also that they won't make people pay 10k a year for engines bigger than 2.0l

since I first saw the SSR, I liked It, and even more after knowing what was under that blobby hood, It dosent look the best thing but its not ugly, honestly I like that era from GM of making Retro Modern cars, like the Plymouth Prowler, the SSR, even the PT Cruiser

TBH, I can agree to you about the Chevy SSR. Like IDK why people would hate on it as I love the look of that thing. I love how it looks like a retro kind of truck hot rod. And same with the PT Cruiser as well saying it’s something a granny would drive by another car I love because of it’s appearance. And I know the PT is like a 4 cylinder car but I just love the retro look of it and it’s the only hatch that I could see myself driving because of the hot rod look.
The biggest problem I have with electric cars isn't that they are electric. It's that we are forced to partway with cars that we love because they "aren't environmentally friendly" for electric cars that are, in a lot of cases worse for the environment than conventional ICE powered cars. The details of which are too large to get into here (a comments section on YT) but this video sums up very well what I am talking about.

I would exchange the T-Roc with the Evoque cabriolet.
It is actually good off road, making it perfect for greenlaning or a sunny country with bad roads.

I bet the 2008 Toyota Prius would look attractive as a cabriolet (especially in red). Plus, the first, third, and fourth generation Prius should have different names. Since "Prius" means previous in Latin, the 2008 Prius is very "previous" enough, unlike the fourth generation Prius.

The A90 GR supra is the best looking car in its range, even if it loose a lot from the concept it still soooo good

BRZ/86 should be on the list, it's a great car that is fast and the trolls loathe it, the first gen BRZs are overall faster than the current gen. The GR Supra is a nice car and so is the MX-5(NA & ND), the NB and NC style doesn't apoeal to me though.

2. what was the name of the old audio
The MK5 Supra is my dream car since the 2013 concept when was 14 and now I own one. I think that the corporiation between BMW and Toyota is great, and it combines German technologies with Japanese design

I like cars too but I just don’t understand why people kick up a fuss about stuff that isn’t that important like, “it doesn’t come with a manual transmission”, “too slow”, “not loud enough” i just don’t understand it. To me, a car is just a piece of art on wheels. No need to complain about it unless its unsafe.

i'm guessing those are the three cars in the end

He's a backup for when I'm overwhelmed. Turns out, voiceover is the least of my... whelm :)
I honestly never hated the new supra. After the kits you can put on it, it looks menacing, although, I do wish it was named FT1 Instead of Supra, and keeping the FT1's looks
Ill be honest. I HATED the pt cruiser but after nearly a month of owning one i absolutely adore it! Its fun to drive and very practical and since i have the 2.4L model my car has tons of potential.
Greetings from England. I've just bought a PT cruiser. Second generation limited in inferno red pearl with after market alloys. I have never driven a car that's caused such a stir. People at work were talking to me about it for at least three days. On the motorway (freeway ) people actively turn round to look at it.
@@raytabs5879 might be so in the UK but here in the US they are still extremely common especially a first gen like mine they turn heads here for the wrong reasons here in the States they have a reputation for being hideous and unreliable same reputation as the car it's based on but if you have the 2.4L 4 cylinder there is tons of potential for a little sleeper mine is also a limited edition unfortunately i dont have a turbo model but i have the same engine. gonna say it now: the new defender is an awesome car, especially with the v8
I agree somewhat in case of all other cars but the last.
I'm with you on the MX-5. I'm 6'1" and not slim. Yet I fit perfectly in an NC, and would buy one if I were pretty enough to drive a convertible.
You either have stubby legs or have the most uncomfortable and dangerous sitting position possible.
6'2" my NA was my daily no issues
I like the 2015 mx-5 more tho. unlike it's older models, that look cute but plain, 2015 miata looks like a cute and cool looking concept car
The third gen MX-5 is by far the best. Such a good looking and nice driving car
2:25 to 2:31 Stype speaking from true personal experience? What did you do to be in an Ugandan jail cell?
I always liked the SSR.... still would like to have one...
I don’t like like convertible crossovers like the T roc and the Range Rover evoque but not because I don’t want to be seen in one or anything like the reasons you described, I just don’t like the look of it. The same goes for the Prius, SSR, and a few others on this list, I don’t like the way they look. Sure they might be great cars but idk man that design isn’t for me
That's a fair argument. I could never go for an ugly car either
@@TopCarsTV I heard that you said the later model SSR’s had a corvette engine in them, might have to buy one and make it a troll car for the strip or something. Either build the engine in there or replace it with the zz572 (I don’t think the 632 would fit) and go mess with some people that would think it’s worthless. The look on their faces when it takes off would be priceless!
As someone who ones a na miata I will never deny that the nc is a better car in basically every category, but that is why its worse. The point of the miata was to ape the British sports cars of the 50s and 60s which were objectively bad cars. They were slow, difficult, unreliable, unsafe, and wildly impractical. But they had a soul about them that newer, better cars don't, thats what makes them special. Weight is the most obvious thing on paper but its much more than that.
That's like the worst take on the EVs, they aren't better for the environment at all. Ev technology hasn't advanced at all we're still using lithium batteries and to get them makes more carbon pollution than just using regular gas cars. Also they're completely unaffordable to most when buying brand new and buying used is a huge gamble because if the battery dies that's an extra 3k you gotta cough up. Like I'm ok with people making EVs but it could never become the norm without significant technological advancements. They also need to be affordable to the working class and way more reliable. It's one of the reasons Toyota isn't going full electric but hybrid.
🤓𝙐𝙉𝙁𝘼𝘾𝙏𝙐𝘼𝙇🤓
I think the case with the Prius is that their owners absolutely screwed up their image. I can't remember a single Prius that wasn't driving recklessly or way below the average speed so that even big trucks must overtake them. Also I've seen plenty of Prius being driven to their absolute limit which is absolutely not the point of this car, which makes it worse considering I live in Germany and their fuel consumption is terrible everywhere above 130 kph 😂 even for its class
