"You know, i'm a really indecisive reader so i should probably bring one of every genre" LITERALLY ME
I read this comment while he said that 😂
Those dislikes from airport security
EDIT: oml I didn't think Jesse would actually reply 😂
LOL.
littleXXcookie hahahahahaha that so true u made me laugh
Izzy Book Queen lol awww thx
littleXXcookie
😄😄
YAS 😂
IM LITERALLY ON VACATION RN AND MY FAMILY WAS ALL ON MY BACK ABOUT MY BAG BEING TOO HEAVY AND I WAS LIKE "I only brought 4 books and my notebook guys!" THEY DONT UNDERSTAND THE STRUGGLE
The struggle is real!! I have been limited to 2-3 books on trips (and the rest of my space is filled with notebooks, pens, and pencils).
I brought 10!😂 They didn't all fit thought, so I had to put some of them in the backpack
I legit pack two pairs of clothes and then I get limited to 5 books because my mom knows I read really fast but last minute I throw in an extra five without them noticing only to run out of books to read (if I read I can read like 3 thick chapter books a day)
Taranjot P
Truuuuuuueee
I brought 5 books in my carry on bag alone. That doesn't include the 15 books in my main suitcase, and the final 3 in my extra bag
I just packed this morning and I can say this is 100% true! XD
Hahaha
Emily Lieber Lol same
Haven't watched the video, but I already now I'll relate in some way.
Emily_TheReader same!!!!!
*know
*that
TheGlitteryBookWorm
Same!
Proud Ravenclaw that word would be optional
Pretty sure this is what every reader's suitcase looks after BEA and BookCon 😂
omg so true
What is BookCon? Because it sounds like something I NEED to go to!
Emma Wittie It’s this thing in NYC where “storytelling and pop culture collide.”
It’s in May, but you need to get tickets soon if you wanna go
wait... there's such a thing as BookCon?
🤩
I went to the Bahamas for a week and I had a backpack and a carry on suitcase filled with books. I was stopped by TSA because they couldn’t see through the books. And they also thought that my Switch was a bomb. One of the only reasons I left my hotel room on the trip was to buy more books from the gift shop. I came back home with 9 more books. It was a good trip.
That's why my family don't travel much
How do you make notes while reading a book??? Please make a video about it!!😊😊
Maitri yes!!!!!!!
Maitri yessss
Maitri yesssssss
Such an amazing idea!
Plzzzzz!!!!!!!
Each time I go on holiday my parents call my suitcase the 'library'.
OMG this is so relatable. Last Year i went to greece for 5 weeks and i brought 20 books with me. My whole closet in our caravan was full of books and i almost had no space for my clothes anymore. This year i am going to go to the netherlands for 6 months and i have no idea how to bring all my books to the netherlands. I just assume i need to buy some new books while i am there. :D
Valli Gl where are you going in the netherlands if i may ask? haha i personally live in the netherlands
Emma L. I am going to go to Amsterdam. I really love the netherlands. I have been there a couple of times already. :)
Valli Gl Amsterdam is pretty cool
Valli Gl ohhh welllll tooooo badddddd more books 🙃😁
Valli Gl haha then you'll have to bring a bunch home haha good luck and I hope you have fun
Not gonna lie, I screamed when you put the "Blue Exorcist" manga there since IT IS MY FAVORITE MANGA AND I LOVE IT SOOOOO MUCH!
Me: ooooh I want to read the lightning thief
Me: I’ll bring the rest of the series in case I finish it
*5 books so far*
Me: I should also bring the heroes of Olympus series because the characters are amazing
*10 books*
Me: we can’t leave out the Egyptians so I’ll have to bring Kane Chronicles as well
*13 books*
Me: and we obviously have to bring the crossover books between Kane Chronicles and Percy Jackson
*16 books*
Me: oooooh I should probably also bring Magnus Chase
*20 books*
Me: okay and obviously I have to bring trials of Apollo we can’t just leave out Lester Popadopoulus
*23 books*
Me: okay well, my checklist also says clothes
Me: dam! There’s no more room
Well, I guess I’ll just spend all day reading!
That's me every time I travel.
This is why I like reading on my Kindle. You can carry your whole library with you on one device, so you're never without options 😊
This is LITERALLY me packing, one time I made my dad put all his clothes in my mom's suitcase and used his for my books/bookish items
you pack until you cant lift it. Duh.
But Bronwyn can...
I think the bye Chu on this video is my Favorite by far 😂
berryblondebooks
Yes 😹😹
"Can I just bring my bookshelf? " Me EVERYTIME!
I can relate to this video on so many levels.
I went on a vacation in Florida with my extended family a few years back. I had to buy another suitcase while I was there because Borders was going out of business and everything in the store was 80% off. I didn't know they were going out of business and they would have been closed down if I waited to get back home to Texas. I bought 17 books and to this day it was one of the greatest decisions I have ever made.
Let's take a minute to appreciate the effort Jesse has put into this video. I can only imagine how difficult it would've been cleaning it all up.
I’ve done this but on accident. I swear, it was actually an accident. I brought two books with me intentionally, but when I packed my purse in I forgot about the two books that I constantly fit in there (in case I get bored while I’m out somewhere) so that made 5 books, and then I also had my kindle which had three books at the time. 8 books for one trip
Ooh, the sun is also a star, a classic
I'm heading camping this weekend, and then on a different trip on Tuesday so this is very useful.
The aesthetically pleased books for bookstagram is so me! My friends treated me they will throw my books if i took them on a trip we're going this september. got to be careful (or get some book lover friends) hahaha. nice video Jesse
Those books are going to topple over
This is one of the reasons I'm happy e-books exist. You can basically take all of your books with you on one little device! (Although I still love having physical books don't get me wrong.)
I'm packing 11 books for 6 days because "I need options!!" 😂😂
I would read them all...
I have literally done this so many times it's not funny. I almost threw a tantrum when my mom wouldn't let me take Clockwork Angel with me on the plane...
When you bring 10 books on vacation "just in case" but end up reading none of them ...
I always bring an "Emergency book" when I'm out on a trip, also an "Emergency! I finished my emergency book" book 😄
Yes! My parents HATED it! My dad used to have to go through my bag and take out what I actually didn't need for that weekend vacation!
When that guy on the internet knows every detail about your life
I tried to do the bye chu thing with you at the end of the video (like I always do) but then you had that whole crisis 😂
packing books for a trip is one of the few things in life that really stresses me out
I related to this in every way.. the problem though is that it's not just being able to pack all my books when I go on vacation but bringing back the books that I buy when I'm on vacation
Jesse, for me, please wear that amazing hat more often. Seriously. But, this was an amazing video!
ha! i might. it comes in hand on bad hair days ;)
Siriusly :-)
@@jessethereader hahaha that is so funny. Can relate :D
I definitely get that "I HAVE A SUDDEN URGE TO REREAD MY FAVORITE BOOKS" on vacations, and then I need to rush home so I can read them. I usually pack at least 3 so that I don't run out. XD
One time I went on a three day trip to Hearst Castle and legit brought 10 books (they were thin, but it was worth it)
This is so true last year I almost didn't bring clothes so I could fit more books
i love jessethereader ❤ does anyone recommend any other book tubers?

PeytonReads and ConnieBell are great!
How is this video so accurate?! 😂
Not only is this accurate, it’s relatable.
Literally me... I usually bring 3-5 books on trip. Lol
Dude I brought 5 books and just bought 13 and I feel this in my soul
i love when you do videos like that!
me too! more coming very soon ;)
This is literally me if I go anywhere! I also have to take my book journal so I can fill it out after each book. Book reader problems
I always put my books in my carry on since there's no weight limit and on the way home last time TSA told me to to remove my laptop and any other electronics from the bag and gave me a strange look when I told him there was no electronics in there, since the bag was so heavy. He started laughing when he saw all my books though. Gotta do what you gotta do :P
This is so relatable!!
This is why I rarely go anywhere cuz I can't bring all the books
Every single time I go to my grandparents for a few days, I bring at least 8-10 books. And every literal time I will end up completing only one. I'll make some progress on others, but every time I tell myself while packing "Maybe I should just bring one book" I think "What if I finish it ahead of time?" and bring my entire bookshelf.
100% relatable! I'm going on vacation on monday and I started a list of which books to pack 4 weeks ago. And of coures the list is constantly changing and growing!
Relatable AF!!!
#relatable
Totally relate! /my sister always makes me chose only two or three books, although she thinks I should bring only one. One book is not enough for a trip!!!
Omg The Book Thief pun had me deceased! I think that would be my favorite so far.
I love you so much
You're my fav booktuberrrrrrr
Am I the only one that didn't relate that much?, when I go on vacation I'll do a lot of stuff I don't always do like going to the beach, zoos, museums, trips and all that stuff I don't go there just to read with a different background. But maybe its because I haven't hit that phase, haha. I still think it can be relatable if ur in the middle of a reading period or in the middle of a really interesting book or series.
Nice video, do u recommend reading the six of crows books?
I just got back from a week long vacation and can 100% relate to this! I brought two books for the car ride there, a book for the beach, a book for bedtime reading, and two books for the ride back home...I had the heaviest duffle bag.
So true i have a suitcase for my books and a backpack for everything else and undoubtedly there will also be books in the backpack as well
Lol Jesse is me but I don't have that many books, ummm so I just pack all of the books I HAVE
💯% true
I'm going to relate next week, so is my mum and brother when we pack
Reading all the comments made me feel a little more sane about my book packing, I usually only take 5 for a week holiday and 3 on a weekend away and end up reading most of the books (it's extremely satisfying). But it's so hard picking which ones to take, I can so relate to that and the part about bringing your old favourites!
Should i read carval its sounds awesome i have read the about it and im getting but idk if i should read it
Jesse, I saw you and clicked

Hello fellow Phans👋🏻🦁
Fangirlingthroughlife HIIIII :D
That bringing the whole trilogy one personally attacked me 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
This is so so relatable. I've narrowed it down to bringing seven books on an hour long road trip but yes almost all of those thoughts.
So I went on vacation recently and I brought 3 books and when I got back, I had 5. Sooo my bad was pretty full😂
Accurate
This video made me Pack 4 more book into my 3 book tbr for my trip to my grandparents House
There is a book series called Fable Heaven and I have always been jealous of this magical object in it which is a backpack that you can carry around but if you go inside the backpack it's a whole room (you climb down a ladder from the entrance of the backpack), and if there's one thing I wish, it's that.
Okay but me
Okay, I know I'm hella late. But I just need to get this out
Mom, dad. Yes, I am going to bring multiple books (maybe like 50 or so) and my laptop/iPad for audiobooks with me on the trip. Yes I am most likely not going to end up reading said books. But NO, IT DOESN'T MEAN I DON'T WANT THE GODDAMN BOOKS ANYMORE. I JUST DIDN'T FEEL LIKE READING ON THE TRIP, AND THE ONES I DID READ SATISFIED ME WITH SUCH GOOD ENDINGS OKAY!? IF I SEE YOU WITH A GARBAGE BAG NEAR MY BOOKSHELVES. I WILL BE USING BLOOD TO PAINT THE WALLS.
that book thief pun lol
or you just can bring your kindle (?)😂
The Book Hunter 😱😱😱! And not bring the miracle of the original copy????😱😱😱
Lol I was going to say that too. I know psychical books are great but kindles are way better when you're going away
The Book Hunter it isn't the same tho…
Charlie OKeeffe Unless you don't have one or don't like reading on it. xD
And sometimes, it sucks when you're reading outside with a kindle because of lighting. (Like when the sunlight suddenly flashes off your screen and in your eyes while reading)
21ChemicalAtTheDisco they aren't expensive tho, if you travel frequently it makes sense to own a kindle and I hated reading on it at first but honestly you get used to it :) also the new kindles have anti glare screens so you don't really get that problem any more
First
you really are
This is so true. Whenever I pack for my weeklong vacation I always bring two books and I never even finish one because I'm so busy with vacation stuff. I usually bring two big books too, not small ones with less than three hundred pages.
I love it when you make booktube videos like these! They're so relatable 😂
When I was just starting buying books I remember when we're supposed to stay in the province on my grandmother's house for summer vacation and I brought all my 14 books! I forgot how did I manage to sneak all of that to my bagpack with my clothes inside but I really really applaud myself whenever that memory pops up.
I LOVE your sketch videos, please do some more.
Annnddd this is why I love having a kindle for travelling!
I love how relatable you videos are!
THIS IS ME EXACTLY 🤣🤣🤣🤣 MY OBSESSIVE BOOK PACKING IS VALIDATED!!! Seriously for any trip i go on- be it an over night or a week long vacation- the first thing i agonize over packing is my books! I always have an entire bag full of books AND I AM A PROUD BOOKLION!!!
I mean I kindda feel that way but the urge to protect the books over powers
When you know that you can relate...
The ultimate traveling reader problem is being too efficient with fitting books in your suitcase and you go over the weight limit. Or resort to putting most of them in carry on and start to die trying to lug around like 30 pounds of books on your back
I love this kind of videos so much Jesse! They're just so much fun it always cheers me up!
This is completely me!! I love when you do these kinds of videos! They make my day!!
I had that exact problem when I went to Myrtle Beach. Completely filed one bag and had to grab another to fit the rest. That one got pretty full too.
THIS IS ALL SO FREAKING ACCURATE GAH I LOVE YOU JESSE
yes. i have done this. not since i switched entirely to ebooks though. makes traveling soooo much easier (and the luggage lighter)
I LOVE the rationalizations you used for all of the books you packed. 😍❤
I usually just opt to bring my ereader, but then I find myself wanting to STILL bring other books because what if my kindle's battery dies, or it gets stolen, or I have the certain urge to read that one hardcover that I left back home?!
I watch at least one of your videos everyday. You make me smile.
I can relate to that. I always take books wherever I am.
Ha, I totally get this! I literally once brought a bag of backup books in case I read all the books in my other bag. And I needed the bag of backup books! Vindication!
This is me every year for Yallwest. And then stocking up the phone with audiobooks. And bringing my e-reader. Like I'll even have time to read that much on vacation!!
Yeah, I most definitely have done this. It's always a struggle to pack books, figuring out which ones to bring, which to leave. I try to keep it a 3 book limit
I was just packing my books and this is so relatable.I just loved this video and I love all of your videos.❤
