I remember playing this in both the arcade and the nes port. A classic

for me this was a watershed moment in arcade games. TMNT was SUPER POPULAR when this cabinet hit arcades, every kid wanted to play it. This was the arcade that truly transitioned from classic score-chasing arcades (Ms Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Galaga etc) to quarter munching beat em ups (TMNT, Final Fight, Simpsons, Punisher). THe beat em ups would be killed off by Tournament Fighters (Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter 2, Tekken) and then eventually lame rail shooters and racers.
