  • If you were a child in the mid-to-late 20th Century, there's a strong likelihood that you took your lunch to school with you, at least for a little while. And while some certainly went with a plain old brown bag, many others decided to express themselves with a metal or plastic lunch box depicting their favorite bands, brands and characters.
Like most things from childhood, those lunch boxes can carry a whole lot of nostalgic value alongside peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Which means people are often willing to shell out big bucks to reclaim them as adults. Here are some lunch boxes that are worth an insane amount of money now.

I have a 1977 Kiss Lunch Box no Thermos and a Beatles Lunchbox with Thermos that also has original stickers inside and the Thermos metal piece that holds the Thermos in place... there is some damage on side where the box has lost its paint. I am about to list them on Ebay. Check them out!

I think the issue is the same. People are spending money, but there's a LOT of great action figure product coming out, and people are having to pick and choose where there money is going. If you're someone who pre-orders a lot of stuff, you're spending money on products due out in the future. Most of us don't have an unlimited bank roll, but wouldn't it be great if we did? lol. I am not supporting this because I can't find budget for it. I'm too deep in Marvel Legends, Classied, Multiverse, etc, etc. I hope this funds because I think this is one of the best HASLAB offerings for STAR WARS so far. The quality is there. The price isn't crazy either. It's pricey, but you can justify the cost. Just too many premium, chase and exclusives right now to compete with. I think this Haslab will fund, but I see it coming down to the wire--primarily due to the factors I've mentioned. Also a factor: I think for a lot of collectors this is not a "must have", but is instead a "nice to have" product. Classifieds last two Haslabs were "must haves." This is nice, but SW collecting has cooled off, and many fans figure that they can live without it.

I need to get a Scoobie Doo lunch box, with a thermos filled with chocolate milk. It would be like hitting the lottery.

You still would have to buy milk at school if you remember, even, if you brought milk from home, it was a government nutritional law for schools nation wide.

My favorite lunch box was my red and black check stripes, so much so, when, the plastic ones were made and, I found one similar, I had my mom get it for me. I also had a Brady Bunch Lunch Box and the Disney Bears Band. Now, lunch boxes are Velcro bag and, even when, parents pack you a drink in a thermos, kids are still forced to buy milk that, they won’t drink, I mean it’s like they put milk in a huge cooler that’s left open for hours on end and, they expect these kids to drink nasty warm milk and they are convinced it should be cold. The milk at school is so warm that it taste sour. P.S. I even had that red black check stripe in the rounded one to at one point, I think it was before they went to the square ones.
