This is NOT Georgetown Airport: Georgetown is the Capital City which is more than 50 miles to the North.
The airport, Cheddie Jagan International Airport, is named for one of Guyana's past Presidents, and is located at Timehri. It used to be called Atkinson Airbase and was originally used as a military airbase.

@@caribbaviator7058 I was always taught growing up and attending Carmel RC school that Timehri now called Cheddi Jagan Intl airport is located 25 miles from the Georgetown. Are they wrong?
This airport code is "GEO," so it is the Georgetown airport. The airport doesn't necessarily have to be located in the city.

they were suppose to introduce air Demerara to Guyanese last year but that was delayed due to Covid, now it might not even happen
