#allstarband #noasb #gamb - Zábava
Gamb really gives off 2019 Jackson vibes with trumpets. They were present all throughout this battle, they are what Jsu trumpets should be right now.Noasb sounds like Su with no trumpets, they clocked out in the middle of the battle, were they even at the battle? Noasb definitely underestimated Gamb and paid the price dearly
This was my SuperBowl 😎! I enjoyed every minute of that whoopin!! Finally got some respect around here!!
That Spain 🔥🔥🔥 it was over after that
Gamb said “IM THE CAPTAIN NOW”🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nola is baritone and mellophone heavy and they did not need all those drummers. Their drum section is almost as big as the horn section. There were times in the battle the summers were almost drowning out the band. I would've had 8-10 snares and cymbals 4-5 tenors and bass drums. Get more trumpets and play your parts and reduce the number of baritone mellos and definitely the drum section
Facts they’d need 400+ brass to march that many bass drums and tenors
Almost?
@@youngchevyboy605-5 right😂 most of the videos had to cut down the volume so as to not clip the speakers
Bruh it's an allstar band. Players from all generations. They don't pick who come, they just work with what they got
Kb them damn tubas are chopping down them trees. Man they sound like a entire surround sound system. #GAMB all day!!!
Big facts!!
@@KBThaBandhead yoo them trumpets, tubas and mellos starting @26:50 in federal raid, mannn that run. Them boys came with that 🔥🧨🔥🧨🔥
GAMB could crank with NOASB. NOASB could not finesse arrangements like GAMB. GAMB displayed their versatility. They are well rounded…SWAC Watts & Power with MEAC Balance Symphonic Sound and Finesse! Also, NOASB is NOT Southern U. SU is versatile and CAN play musical arrangements with the best of them…then slap you with power arrangements. NOASB seems to thrive cranking. GAMB can do both and SU can do both! Great Battle! When NOASB get some trumpets, tubas, and upgrade the arrangements LOOK OUT…BUT GAMB ain’t going nowhere AND if you are from Georgia you already know GA HISTORICALLY has ALWAYS had the best high school bands in the country along with New Orleans and Miami. Memphis, Alabama, and North Carolina has some HS Bands to, but ATL from the 90’s to present has been a force! Just like St. Aug, Edna Karr, Walker and all those N.O. Bands been the standard so has ATL (too many name) BUT The Old Washington High, McNair, Douglas High, Mays, Stephenson, Southwest Dekalb, Miller Grove, etc. Miami had some heat too. ATL been here. GAMB is just a manifestation of this rich history!
I agree, and i feel GA will get even bigger next year! This battle just fueled them and folks that are sitting at home wishing they would’ve joined.
Facts dekalb has been in every HBCU band there is. Str8 facts ain't no play in ga
I'm from Houston. Old school Willowridge to be exact. Let me say this: I SAW all those older N.O. high school bands. They were smaller versions of NOASB today. But overall soundwise, those old school GA bands were better for overall sound and use of fundamentals. Nobody could match N.O. level energy standing still except us, Dallas Carter, Pine Bluff, and old school Lake Charles Washington Marion and Vicksburg.
Guys both bands is great I been loving NOASB for a long time but I just hate when they play SU book because N.O has they own sound from the pass years. GAMB is different they brought a different sound and it was amazing. They played there own book, never heard nobody played there song book. GAMB got my vote because of this.
NOASB NEVER plays SU book. Whenever NOASB plays an SU, TxSU, Dega or New Orleans high school arrangement that means that it’s from someone from New Orleans who arranged for that school. Usually in that case they they’re also currently or was once an NOASB director.
All it is is Paying homage to the talent in our city and showcasing our talented strangers. And it’s usually only 2-6 songs like that every year. I see no problem with that.
GAMB definitely came with that 🔥🔥
🗣 *Don’t forget about my request bro!*
I said this in the last post. Georgia tubas got that JSU swagger and somebody wanted to fight me on this. Overall, their surround sound and arrangements remind me of Southern!! Which I thought would be N.O. but clearly N.O. bit off too much than they can handle. Georgia allowed everybody to shine!!! N.O. played mad and we know in a boxing match, you fight mad, you are subject to more mistakes and might just get knocked out.
Dawg Team is fed by mostly Ga/Atl, Dawg Team has that laid back 808s Ga swag to their style
Them and Cookman have that 808s sound to them
I def heard that dawg team!!
Disagree on gamb sound like southern. Not with affiliates of jsu. Gamb sound is closer to jsu sound than it is su. U even pointed out gamb tubas has jsu swagger. Nothing in su sound produce no bottom or anything close to jsu surround. It would have been great to leave su and out of this battle. But just know su ain't bringing nothing gamb was bringing.
@@patricktriplett6927 agreed
I'm from New Orleans I wish I was there I love our band KB but we finally lost in a long time frfr we wasn't ready period.its ok we will be in ATL next year
Right, didn't lose in a long time, Georgia got it 👍🏿 ..maaann....Georgia have southern and JSU players in there
Maab beat y’all in 2019 (we ain’t forget)
@@malawilake40 Georgia got it But LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. Its the state that you're from not the school you went to. LOLOL
@@malawilake40 jsu and southern have some Georgia players in there is what you meant
@@g4werkzgenesisparts556 hahaha yea I know, I know...the state is Louisiana, but for us to know, in Georgia mass band they have some Louisiana players in there
For those wondering NOASB had 33/34 trumpets and GAMB had 45 trumpets.
NOASB finally took an L. They needed more trumpets, more tubas, less drummers for a better balanced sound.
And no one is talking about the fact that GAMB used an old trick that southern uses. Whenever southern comes across a band that matches or greater in power like JSU or Dega is some years they defeat them with musicality. They will pull out a technically proficient arrangement like Beyond, welcome to the jungle, and run them to death.
GAMB’s arrangers got them the W too because NOASB had 0 answer for some of those arrangements.
A good battle, NOASB still did a great job. They went out fighting now they can get better next year.
@@ScoobyTbone if you think that’s all NOASB does you’re sadly mistaken. Former director has arranged some of the most musical/unique band songs in the last 30 years for his school and brother similar songs to NOASB. You know who i’m referring to.
@@ScoobyTbone Going gets tough, you brought the sunshine(Clarke sisters), can’t help myself(temptations), smile(Kirk Franklin) Look back at it(,blinding lights, no more drama, novacane, kiss of life(Sade), Dead and Gone. A lot of dope songs with great arrangements never been heard of from other bands.(or at least not played in decades)
Georgia did NOT sound like SU like.some people are saying in these comments😒. Georgia is smoother and cleaner than SU. Georgia was actually like a big Tenn st soundwise especially tubas
I wasn't even thinking about Tennessee state, but you are right. They are the only band that will arrange songs to allow the trumpets to shine like Georgia. They have the balance that the bands who only care about power don't have.
@@chip4029 yep.and I'm FAMU so I'm.not.even biased
Oh yeah tenn
Bro said they are cleaner than southern 💀
@@BigFlOz I sure did...SU is not clean
Being from N.O and a former band member GA bust that ass. N.O didn't have that balance, tubas sucked, and the trumpets was MIA throughout every song. Hats off to GA

Guys can we stop comparing these bands to SU and Jackson. They are NOASB and GAMB so let them be who they are. Stop the comparing please
I mean most of their member and staff are from those schools so it’s hard not to. But on the same note, we get what you're saying.
