However, I note that every Mayor since 1963 has been a Democrat, & the citizens of Denver are now paying for choosing that brand of thinking & governing.

I left Denver last year because of the insane cost of living and the laws. They give millions in funding to homeless and “human rights” organizations and abortion (murder factories). They don’t address the insane cost of living and lack of reasonable single family homes. Denver takes in more and more extreme political positions by allowing anyone to live there. It has turned a majority red state into a cesspool of progressive policies that allow the fungus to grow in denver and boulder.

You need a background check to work at most any retail job in the country, you need a background check to rent anywhere, you need ID to travel on a bus or a plane or a train, you need a vaccine card to go to a concert or sport event, you need ID to buy tobacco or alcohol. But these people can have all of that and don't need to do anything a citizen has to do. Two tiered isn't the right term, the american government is very actively replacing it's people with a group they can more easily control and manipulate.

@@robc9108First, I would house houseless Americans in Denver. I would redirect the 180 million dollars Johnson has allocated for migrants to housing houseless Americans in Denver. I would request funds from HUD's Housing Repository (they have a homeless Repository from which most funding is produced to maintain homelessness). I would condemn as many buildings and land in Denver as possible that sit derelict. I would start retro-fitting the vacant commercial properties into residential units. I would request more funding from CDOT, The United States Interior, and RTD. I would revoke Denver as a sanctuary city. The funding for homeless operators, Denver Rescue Mission, Saint Francis, Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, etcetera, would end freeing more funds for housing and addressing shortages in Healthcare professionals and inadequate wages. I would introduce a Bond Initiative and instill Community Land Trusts. This is not an exhaustive list, but it is where I would start.

It's all about sociopolitics. This is one of several key extremist positions on which clout, cash, media support, and votes depend for many liberal candidates. They hitched their horse to these issues in decades past, and have had to keep moving in steps and leaps toward the extreme to stay with the pack. Now that so much of their own voting base is turning against them they have to find ways to effectively make portions of these extreme positions permanent or sufficiently semi-permanent in order to shift the onus to the federal government, and to make it that much harder for anyone else to roll back their policies and changes.

Having a work authorization doesn't guarantee a job. Especially nowadays when you have to compete against so many other candidates and so many rounds of interviews. There's a lot of laid off/unemployed Americans who are at least high school graduates. Where's the streamlined work pipeline for Americans to find work??? THIS DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. No one sees a red flag about an American company calling the mayor saying "I want to hire the migrants" but not saying "hey, where are those Americans without jobs? I want to hire them." That screams underpay and capitalism. I'm not even a politician and seem to be more aware of this broken system.

@@matth9254 Yes all levels of taxes will rise as a direct result of the invasion. I expect this to be the case throughout the USA. CA has gone so far that I warned a city council in the first quarter of 2023 that the rich residents whose donations above taxes (over $350K to one public elementary school during the worst year of the Great Recession) would move taking all of their money if a matter passed. Shortly after, the council unanimously approved the matter for revenue, and the affluent began moving out of state sighting that vote as the final straw. Many more who planed to live their entire life here are thinking they will soon be taxed out. By June of 2023, the city's fiscal year end, the council was surprised to see the tax revenue was much lower than they budgeted and actually expected. The government is simultaneously cutting budgets that fill societal basic needs while the invaders are overwhelming all services. Some elected official has proposed paying illegals who never worked a day in America or paid into it, social security. The politicians don't take care of the legal residents who have paid into that program their entire lives.
