I would definitely be interested in a full build video. I really appreciate all of dsm related videos and help you have provided on the forums over the years. Thank you.

I have been watching your DSM videos for a long time. Back in the forum days, you brought a lot of great information to the AT DSM community. I still have one of your restalled torque converters and rebuild kit in my 2G Talon. The quality of your parts and work has always been top-notch, and I really appreciate everything you have done.

⚙️Thank you for the kind words, it’s been a long road with DSM’s- over 20 years now

Great video it definitely helped me with some trouble shooting. I am searching a no reverse issue on a new build.

      That’s easy
      1) No valve body o ring
      2) Center Support incorrectly indexed
      3) Missing or damaged center support I rings
Pull the VB and check first but it’s most likely item #2 based on what I often see people do wrong

Awesome sir, I checked the o-ring and it is in place. I also applied air as you showed and it sounds like everything applies perfectly. Obviously not 😂 somewhere. Would switching valve bodies be a good idea to attempt to trace the issue? I also pressure tested the rc port before removal and even that one was low at 40psi in drive.

thank you soooo much for this video... (first time attempting to rebuild a auto).. I rebuilt mine last summer and within 6 miles it locked up.. ended up being the end clutches seized up due to the o'ring not seated correctly... I also bought 2 new seals that go on the shaft for the pump (about the 24 min mark in the video) so I am hoping to get this going again this weekend so I can test and make sure it runs before mid feb when IFO comes here.. do you install the end clutch kit if I send in my housing?

You might have had a bigger problem, normally when the end clutch O ring blows you just lose 4th gear (normal end clutch failure is the friction material burns away, piston overtravels, o ring reaches the edge of the bore and hydraulic pressure finishes it off). Unless you somehow got the piston jammed in there? Not sure how you could really mess that up, other than maybe bending the clip for it or something. I just slather the seals/o rings and openings in trans assembly lube and put them together, I had to slightly compress the pack with a couple C clamps to get it back together, but other than that the end clutch is the easiest one in the trans.
