He did this exact kind of thing with the Doctor Who commander episode. He made sure everyone knew he designed a card and was abusing lesser known rules interactions to break it.

Sphagetti Mom, World Anew is why I maindeck Homeward Path in my heavy creature decks.

@@carloago8305 and easy to shut down for cheap. I'd say they're decently balanced if your deck is built around eldrazi. Less so, when your deck just has a couple of the big ones just for cheating into play.

Also sneeze on them with an exile target creature and watch us get rolled unless we have “not of this world” in our hand lol

Eldrazi a how to get your friends to stop playing with you speed run
Question, when you cast the spell, you target a persons board, if they tefai protection, will the trigger miss? Or do they have to play that spell prior to targeting?
You can teferi in response and it would prevent them from taking your stuff
It targets the player, so player hexproof would work too

Yes. Lots of people still play 60 card 1v1. Almost all of the tournament formats.

He needs to sack it when he cast a spell but the creature came already into the play so it was too late
He would have gotten emrakul into the hand and then needed to discard it with the etb trigger or am i missing something?
Herigast's "Exile your hand" abilty isn't ETB. it's "When you cast, you may...."
So cast Herigast, and the When You Cast abilty goes on the stack, and the Sanctum of Ugin abilty "Whenever you cast.... you may sacrifice..." also goes on the stack (the decision to sacrifice does not occur until abilty resolved).
The active player can choose the order in which those resolve as they are both on the stack, so first resolve Herigast's on cast ability, exile hand and draw 3. Then allow Herigast itself to resolve and ETB. Then the Sanctum's abilty resolves and he chooses to sacrifice it, searching for Emrakul.
At least that's how I understand it.

Biggest thing I can say, is I respect Gavin enough for his impact on the game, but I certainly would loathe to be matched against him. He gives me "Mom said its my turn on the Xbox" vibes.
Eldrazi are really neat, but they're my least favorite to play against. Turns take forever, and nearly every Eldrazi deck I play against just abuses the hell out of cascade. I'll usually auto scoop or just refuse to play against it. No point in sitting around for 15 minutes waiting for someone to take their turn and cascade for 12 3x in a row.
You sound like an awful sport. Takes far less time to resolve cascade than your average 1/1 counter deck, superfriends, hell anything in simic, etc etc. 9 times out of 10 you just hit a mana rock anyway
@kevingarlick4617 LOL call me a bad sport all you like. You can waste your time playing games where your opponent cascades for 20 multiple times and steals entire turns. At that point, it's just watching a dude play with himself. Dont forget about getting hit with an annihilator 4-8 every turn. Throw a platinum angel, and akromas will on top for extra measure. There's about 5-6 people in our play group, and every one of them refuses to play against this eldrazi colorless deck. I'm not just boohooing. It genuinely just makes lame games that only one person is enjoying.
@kevingarlick4617 Also, don't get me wrong, I think eldrazi are cool and can be used in a way that the deck can be fun for everyone. But the eldrazi colorless decks I've played against have been sweaty and people in our group don't like to play against them.
@tightlilthang I run that deck sometimes and it's not even thar strong. Counterspell the commander and wipe artifacts and gg. If anyone threw a fit over my mid zhulodok deck I'd bring out Queza the capenna uncommon and show them a real bad time. The reality of zhulodok is 95% of the time its an exercise in casting 3 drop mana rocks for free while sending all your best cards to the bottom of the library. The other 5% of the time it's a turn 4 blowout, which is what you probably experienced once and decided it was an OP commander
@kevingarlick4617 Brother, your eldrazi deck is just mid. I play just about every day with my group, so I'm playing against this eldrazi deck about 2-3 times a week. I'm not saying he wins every time. Just 80% of the time, it's a slog of game and is basically just watching one player play alone. I don't care about your queza deck, man. I said what I said, and it's an opinion everyone else in my group holds. There have been other eldrazi decks that aren't bad to play against. This is just the one I've gotten the most exposure to.
Eldrazi's are not evil but i don't know why 5 my friends focusing on me with colorless eldrazi's leaded by ulamog the defiler as my commander. Only got yo mill someone with half their library did not get another chance. They all ganged up on me typical magic game sny deck i play instant arch enemy

commander design cards is everything i don't want to see in any game.
These were designed for Modern, which is what they were playing. They probably will be useful in Commander, but they weren't playing with anything specifically designed for it.

and this is why i dislike certain cards in magic. really really do not like Emrakul do not like it at all.
