Navratil and Bar have to cover the entire court, while their amateur counterparts only had to defend half. The stakes are set at $500, and spectators eagerly awaited to see how the pickleball pros would fare against the odds.
From the outset, it was clear that Navratil and Bar faced a formidable challenge. With the court split in half, the amateur duo had a distinct advantage in terms of coverage, forcing the pros to alter their pickleball playbook on the fly. Navratil and Bar showcased their experience and skill, refusing to be intimidated by the unconventional format, which even seems to enhance pickleball strategies the pros may otherwise ignore in regular play.
One of the key stipulations of the match was the restriction on where the amateurs could execute an Ernie, a daring maneuver crucial in pickleball. While they were permitted to Ernie from the outside of the court, they were prohibited from doing so from the inside, a limitation that Navratil and Bar strategically exploited to their advantage.
Throughout the match, Zane and Dekel demonstrated their adaptability, adjusting their pickleball playbook to counter the unconventional tactics employed by their amateur counterparts. With precision placement and expert shot selection, the pros seemed to enhance pickleball maneuvers to their advantage, forcing them to work harder for each point.
Tensions mounted, with both teams vying for every advantage. Spectators were treated to a display of skill and strategy as Navratil and Bar fought relentlessly to overcome the odds. Despite the challenges they faced, the professionals remained focused and determined, refusing to concede defeat easily. - Sport

Play with a Franklin sweet spot trainer paddle
Like this idea
I feel like I proposed this on the pbstudio discord so plus one. Or take it next level and use a tennis pointer =)
Honestly they're not hard to play with. It probably would be a blowout.
I agree it would be a blowout but man it is so much harder to counter/reset with them. I actually prefer the sweet spot trainer on anything offensive
Genius with the content Zane. So fun to watch!
Can not imagine playing with such a handicap. That close of a game speaks tons re the next level the pros play at. Very impressive.
Fun episode! With ATPs the pros would likely win. That threat would open up more court space for the 5.0s to cover.
This was so much fun to watch! I had a smile on my face the whole time. Yes, my wife and I use a Lobster machine daily for our morning training sessions. So a shout out to your sponsor.
Really fun and original ideas!
How'd you get Dekel to show up? So cool to see him off the tour.
I can’t stop laughing. Best episode so far 😂
Zane, another great entertaining video! Been trying find video of you playing Jack Sock, have you played him in a tournament?
Zane is always finding new and inventive ways to beat his friends at pickleball ;)
Get Ben Johns to play left handed with a frying pan
NEW IDEA: The entire court is the kitchen - no volleys anywhere unless you erne
One person should have just stood at the Ernie position for the third shot drop or drive from the Pros...really shrink the area of return! And always look for the shake and bake when driving their (5.0's) second shot
Shout out to Astria Pickleball!!! WOOT WOOT!
Guillermo is the man
LoL
Was it too hard to find a competitive balance letting Dekel serve normally? Did he just blast the 5.0s off the court?
This doesn’t exactly fit the format but it would be cool to 4 pros play mixed doubles but 1 team has to play closer to 50/50 where the man can’t take over. Maybe even only half stacking.
I know that’s a disadvantage but I haven’t seen it before. But it would be too small a disadvantage against 5.0s I would guess.
My last name is Paz. Never seen Guillermo’s last name Paiz before
I can’t believe the % of backhands I’m seeing from the 5.0s. Not well thought out. Why share the half court in equal halves?!
Pro's would win with ATPs.
He cheated that one Ernie hit the ball twice on one side
The Paul Bunyan looking guy does a weird thing with his leg when serving.
Hmm.. "Color blind which is why I am fine having Zane as a friend." Why? Because he's not white? LOL. Weird fact.
Lost all respect for you Zane after seeing you deliberately cheat at Red Rock Open using the spin serve.
Are you related to the Navajo tribe?
