  • In this video, I travelled across Metro Vancouver BC to ask local Vancouverites to get their real and honest thoughts about how they feel about living in our city and ask them interesting questions like if Vancouver is really worth it, what their favourite and least favourite things are, what advice they would give to someone that is moving here and more!
There are many articles and news and rumours saying different things about Vancouver BC and I've wondered what the real residents of Vancouver felt, and I got to get some very intriguing answers so make sure to watch the entire video to see what they say!
I hope that this video gives you a better understanding of what it really is like to live in Vancouver, and help you find out if Vancouver is the right fit for you and your lifestyle.
I've also made an in-depth video on how much it really costs to live in Vancouver, so check that video out right here: • How much it REALLY cos...

Not enough housing AT ALL. I saw there were basements packed with 20 students living together. DO NOT come here, unless you have money to throw away.

We are being extorted to pay Switzerland Prices because of government real estate policy and chinese investors in real estate, for a city that has turned into a developing country, for the prices we pay for homes out here you could retire 10 times over in any very nice city and neighbourhood in the US where ppl are earning the same median income or more on average than in Vancovuer, Flordia neighbourhoods much nicer than EAST Van the crap hole where ppl make way more money you can buy a beautiful home for 500k at most. It is actually very disgusting what has happened to BC and Ontario. The only ppl who are not complaining are older ppl who paid what the homes are actually worth in Vancouver, ie 300k 500k max and are now sitting on a few million for doing nothing but allowing ppl from overseas to come and hyper inflate house prices to 3 million. Period. Home prices are like in Malibu and Beverly Hills where ppl are making millions per year, while the median income is 65k in Vancouver, it is very very disgusting actually and ppl have turned residential detached homes on the east and west side into rooming houses housing 10 ppl illegally and getting 800 per head turning neighborhoods into crapholes while u have to pay 2 mill for crap house. It is vomit inducing what Vancouver has turned into. That is not an opinion that is an evidence based fact. Vancovuer has turned into nothing but a place to park money into real estate from overseas Asia, it is no city at all. Stop being deceptive. House prices have nothing to do with the lie of how desirable it is to live here, and everything to do with the above, this place has been built on pure lies and deception and misinformation. Also in wealthy neighborhoods where homes are more like 4 plus million, it is eerie, your neighbours may have money but everyone is all shady, like one Neighbour may have defrauded a bank in the middle east and stole money and came here, another is an ex-government official of a third world country who fled to canada, the other dealt in organs in china, it is a really weird eerie dynamic. In the US, you talk to your Neighbour and the guy owns 30 car dealerships, the next guy is the ceo of a massive insurance company, the other has 50 dental practices across the country, the other is a big wall street guy ect. Not in Canada, in this country most people who are wealthy, are wealthy from doing shady crap, theft and corruption in third world countries, that is also a FACT. Have seen this country turn into pure crap in the past 40 yrs. From a wonderful place with systems and an economy functioning at its own pace and in its own weight class, with great health care and low crime to a real estate crazed hyperinflated province and country with corrupt sell out politicians, who saw a bit of money from overseas and said...eff it ...lets ruin everything to get rich!

A family friend moved from Vancouver 12 yrs ago after working in the IT field for 15 years in Vancouver and being capped out fully at 200k and could not make a penny more, moved to California, within 3 years he was earning north of 700k and within 5 years purchased a mansion on the hills in Beverly Hills for 3.5 million which would easily cost 10 million in Vancouver and currently living his best life, to say he has not come back is a major understatement! He might come back for a week once every few years to see family and hang out at a Kits for a dinner but that is it. Most ppl are in Canada because they do not have the option of the US that is a fact, and get out of here with the beauty crap, been all over the world and 100s of places are equally or more beautiful in every way, So much false advertising. BTW 75 percent of people who migrate to Canada are from two countries and two countries alone, India and China so it is not exactly diversity given that the planet has over 180 plus countries in it! Also the main functions of the economy in this province and Ontario have everything to do with Real Estate and or anything to do with real estate and Immigration consulting and anything to do with immigrants, schools visas ect, it is actually quite a pitiful scene.
