    vancouver in particular is a very souless place with a lot of superficiality. come to Montreal it's 10x easier to make friends and genuinely connect with folks here.

      Add to that , in Montreal I felt that creativity is everywhere , you don’t have to look hard , I found that liberating because Vancouver is more subdued and less free in that way. Vancouver relies on nature to fill any void I feel, whereas in Montreal you feel more the human creation and people are less uptight (sometimes they’re more aggressive when they talk lol but I didn’t mind too much).

      Montreal is definitely a vibe.

    I moved to a part of Vancouver area that is 80 percent Indian (mainly students and young people of that type), sometimes it feels like I’m in India ngl, for example 100 percent of Walmart employees are Indian, but most are good people , it’s just weird sometimes. But sometimes they’re very sweet.
    The advice thing about meeting people of your own culture is definitely easy for them.

    moving from the rest of canada to vancouver is also hard. i tell people that it takes two years to make good friends. my best advice is YOU make the moves. don't wait for others to initiate getting together.

      You're right, it takes time to build these friendships. Great advice as well, I appreciate your thoughts.

    I will also say that if you leave Vancouver you WILL definitely miss the nature, the trees make the air really fresh for example , even though it’s a big city . Not saying I will stay here forever you never know , but it’s definitely a plus. I noticed this when I went back to Europe.

      Agreed Hirsch. The nature here is unmatched. But there comes a time in everyone's life when change of environment is beneficial and for a lot of people around me, I can see that change essential.
      I really appreciate your thoughts :)

      Thank you so much man. Your words mean a lot and you're right, I'll put more effort on the positive side of things. Still learning how to be a better storyteller with everything going on around.

    If you're living in BC --you picked the wrong coast for making friends easily--The maritime people are so friendly
    You do have to get used to winter if you choose the east

    • @kaizabi
      @kaizabi  Před 7 měsíci

      I've heard similar stories about the maritime people. I think a lot of people choose Vancouver because of the warmer winter but you have a great point. Thanks so much for your comment :)
