Superman is the powerhouse hero of the world. If he cant defend earth from enemies then no one else will. He stands protecting earth from anything and he asks for nothing. Having power of a god and not beeing selfish and sharing gift with people. I think Superman is quite special character thats why he is so iconic. He has some type of angel/jesus wibe to him.

so i wanna give my opinion on dceu"s superman thus far. full disclosure, i'm not a comic book reader, so i'm not THAT familiar with these characters (marvel or DC) except from the movies, it's just that my favorite superhero is Batman (the dark knight being one of my fav film of all film). Now, my full introduction to superman was in man of steel, i remember being so pumped to see that film cus it was being produced by cristopher nolan and came out of the theater dissapointed and not liking cavill as supes. Did not like him in bvs too, it's not even the fault of cavill, rather the fault of the script i presumed. And then i liked cavill in justice league BUT i thought it was like a sudden change of characte from bvs with no clear character arc. Now, seeing these kinds of videos, or other videos about how superman is the emboidment of hope got me thinking like, what if these concepts (superman being embodiment of hope, justice etc) being ACTUALLY realized in these films. It would've made me a fan of the character. I mean, the soundtrack of MoS embodied the "hope" aspect better than the movie itself. it's kinda sad, because DC has these AMAZING material to work with, yet the films are such a letdown, and when a mediocre film rises above those letdowns then we praise it, not bceause it's good but because it's "not bad".
i personally disagree. Man of steel represented a new interesting and reliable character and im die hard fan of Superman. There could be revisions etc, but overall the movie was very good. Also people complaining about hopefullness of Superman is kind not fair. He saved earth multiple times, saved people regardless of the bullies and so on. Man of steel was not aimed to have a All Star version of Superman on screen or having Kingdome come level of experience and maturity Superman. It was meant to represent the origin story of Superman and they did it pretty good. Visually the movie was excellent, soundtrack one of the best ever in any genre, suit was perfection imo and loved that they removed the shorts. Could things have been better? Well if they made more interaction with human race and superman it could have been better. But i get that they are trying represent on Superman being introduced to the world and him building up the dceu. He was literaly superboy half of the film rather than Superman. In bvs it was kinda meh, because i think they did a mistake by doing batman vs Superman movie. Making a vs movie with two extremely big fanbase and big ego characters is conflicting thing. Man of steel is still great imo, just because about 120 people from magazines though it wasnt good doesnt mean much really. BVs was mistake and, suicide squad sucked aswell. It would have been better if they gone for making Batman stand alone movie, ww stand alone, cyborg, shazam, green lantern and flash stand alone movies. Then do man of steel 2 movie with title death of Superman were Superman faces doomsday. Plot should be Superman having his battles against lex luthor on moral levels and then Lex luthor sort of using doomsday to kill Superman and other members should first fight doomsday and when they are lost in battle Superman should come and battle Doomsday till he dies. After that Justice league should come together as they are paying their goodbye to Superman. later on they should have used Darkseids war comic were they steal Supermans biomaterial during the invasion of Steppenwolf and they try to turn him into parademon... I personally thing mos was great, but dc rushed to much and ruined a bit.

Well,he isn't know as "Eath's Champion" for nothing.Let's hope they keep this powerlevel to him,after all he is meant to be the most powerful being on Earth.

I am reading the comments and I do not get how Superman is ruined. If anything, this is a great incarnation of the character.
People be stupid; this actor plays superman perfectly! Before superman had that hopeful aura he had that but before he exuded it he was mistrusted and questioned hence what we got from the character in the last two movies he was in.
Superman is the strongest superhero. He can easily overpower hulk and thor. He can over power and defeat ww hulk and wb hulk

cus superman is stronger hero and superman is stronger than batman batman just using a gadget in justice league just superman the stronger and i think now his weakness isnt krypton again
I find that Batman should perhaps not be present in the league justice, he remains a human with much determination but without power. So that makes the character less interesting, they should have continued the Nolan trilogy but a lot of people would have been disappointed and Warner wouldn't have respected the comic books.
ll-Legacy-ll batman is the brain of justice league. He couldn't do much in a fight but without his leadership jl couldn't do much. Maybe in the next films WB should emphasize more on bats being the brain of jl.
