I did all that to mine. Brake system and fuel system all new. Great video brother.
Use a silicone based grease on your caliper bolts. Syl-glide from NAPA, or similar works well. Those bolts ride on rubber O-rings. Regular grease will cause deterioration of the O-rings.

A good morning John, I made a video of me talking about those door striker pins. They ended up working out. I just used my factory washers with them for some strange reason. They worked out that way. I couldn't use the new washers, but the factory washers with the new pins worked out so. Just leting you know man. I did make a video that you could check it out if you want. Alright, God bless.

I just got done not too long ago rebuilding and surfacing all 4 drum brakes on my 71 four door . Been debating throwing a booster on those to have super touchy brakes or doing the disc conversion . I’m still on the ropes as to which to do but seeing how easy you made it seem I would not be against doing the conversion
It may seem difficult, but with the fact of every new car having them, they are definitely better and safer, because they cool down faster than drums could if you had to panic stop, plus they would allow you to stop sooner in that same situation. Honestly, it's more a budget matter in my mind. If I were to have the money to do that, I definitely would.

Nice kit, I wonder if a dic brake from a later nova or similar car would bolt on? There should be plenty at the wreckers.
Most of the 73 and later gm stuff is front steer and the spindles and steering arms are different

Good video good stuff anyhow I was gonna ask you? Where did you get the rear hard brake lines that go over the axle to each wheel cylinder? You mentioned in the Video That you Weren't happy With Them, and that you were gonna Try another set of which ones you decide are better cause. I need to replace mine and I don't want to get ones that I'm gonna be unhappy with.
I’ll double check. I think I bought right stuff lines. In-line tube stuff is usually good.

I'm gonna be putting out another video of me finishing up the Driver's side Floor Pan patch and toe board that I'm doing right now. I just don't really videotape me doing it. I usually just show you know beginning and end results it'll be out pretty quick
Did you get a chance to look at the Muscle Car Brakes, their ceramic brake shoes? They also sell ceramic brake pads for factory style calipers as well as drums, rotors, calipers, wheel cylinders and hardware for sometimes hard to find muscle car brake parts.
If that kit uses factory style brake pads, when you need new ones take a look at the ceramic ones mentioned above.
I did. I ordered the pads for my other two cars.

Would you have any parts for sell for a Nova? I have a 68 I am starting. Need a few parts
So the disc brakes have integrated wheel hubs for the Nova? I'd have thought they were separate. I wonder if the drum brake wheel hubs could be reused for custom discs.
You can buy disc kits that use the drum spindle. Not sure if there’s a kit that uses the drum hub. Maybe because if spacing?
Hey john shouldn't the master be flush against the firewall? I see u had nuts on the mounting bolts.
It doesn’t have to be. My other two cars are same way. Just a master cylinder without booster would be flush. I think I did it that way before because of the rod length that comes with kit.

Budget Nova?
What headers do you prefer that fit the nicest? The headers i have on now block some of my spark plugs i was thinking about ordering some hooker headers
Depends on if it’s for street or race. For street I have an old set of flow tec headers that fit great. On FrankenNova I’m running Hedman Hustlers that are 1 7/8 primary. They fit pretty good. Only had to dent a little for plug clearance.
@Shop209 it's just for street. I have straight plug headers right now and I was told that no matter what headers I put on, some plugs will still be blocked. Have you ran into that problem?
