Great vlog
This a a great video log, with no hype or judgement being expressed. Well done :-) My first experience of nude beaches was when I worked France in the 1970s. At first it was quite novel and daunting to see whole families naked on the beach sunbathing, building sand castles and playing ball etc. But it took us only 10 minutes to get naked relax and enjoy the experience. I loved it immediately. It's hard to say why it's so deeply refreshing and feels so normal and natural to do this? It's certainly not a sexual experience - that concept wears off within minutes. It's more like a spiritual awakening to be in the environment completely naked in nature, just as everything else in nature actually is? I regret the fact that back in the UK this is extremely rare - maybe because of our strict culture and wet climate? But I do still go naked at home at every opportunity - anytime it's warm enough. I'm so glad I had these experiences back then - and that feeling of freedom with nature never goes away :-)
My wife and I have been to many nude ressorts all over Europe ! The one we like the best is in Le Porge next to Bordeaux France on the Atlantic coast ! The ressort is called "la Jenny "!Nice beach , swimming pools , bars , outdoor restaurants , small supermarket , and everyone is naked !

In 1990 we had our first naturist experience in France. The year after we split holidays. Half naturist resort, half textile. That was the last time we went to a textile resort / beach. The difference was so huge in favor of the naturist locations. So much more relaxed and at ease. Different from what textile people think, we felt much more watched a lot at the textile locations.

I've been going to nude beaches all my life. As a kid I went with my parents to nude beaches in the Netherlands and Yugoslavia (now Croatia). In my experience nude beaches are cleaner and people have more respect to each other.

With my wife we go to Charco every year for 4 weeks. Magical place and the only village in the world with an official naturist status. Being naked 24/7 (if its not to cold) is just beautifull. Walking nude along the coast for miles and in the village and having drinks with friends. Well, it just doesn't get any better. If its up to my wife we would move to Charco del Palo permanently.
No, it's not thé only one with a naturist status.
Hope you also checked out Papagayo- Playa Del Pozo. Great stretch of sandy beach with a few small secluded areas and fairly quiet. On one day the weather changed and there was a brief shower and everyone left. We hung around and then had the whole of Pozo to ourselves. It was the first time I had gone naked on a beach and because it was so quiet, I felt quite happy to walk down to the sea for a swim. After day 3 had no hang ups about being naked in front of others. A very liberating experience and will definitely be getting everything off again. Top tip....check out the country you are visiting allows naturism if that is what you want. My next one is in Turkey, where I'll definitely have to keep the shorts on. Perhaps I'll wear trunks for the first time as a compromise!

I have been a few times in Florida. My feeling is, once you've experienced the freedom of a beach, pool, or great outdoors, without a wet sticky sandy swimsuit, you'll never want to wear one again. It's just totally comfortable and relaxing.
I find it very sad that most Americans can't fathom non sexual public nudity, but American culture is a pornographic culture. Therefore, it tends to see all nudity as sexual in nature.
I hope someday Americans will adopt a more European mindset and be able to see non sexual public nudity as normal and natural.

Been to that very beach. There was a tide pool /swimming area where every wave spilled in with some force. Very refreshing
I've gone to nude beaches a few times and to mixed saunas not for the "sexual" experience because (I guess you guys already know..) there is NOT any. My purpose is to relax and be care free and by that I don't care who is or is not around 🙂 I don't watch other people more than I would watch other people otherwise. But I don't look away either 😛 And another thing that sometimes get mentioned: Nude beaches are not just for the perfect beautiful young bodies ! Every one has the right to be there and I guess you see more older people because they have matured more than the Instagram generation. Be happy and don't be judgemental 🙂

By the way, are Americans more ‘modest’ about nudity and being naked than Europeans? Or do you see no difference?
The Netherlands is full of saunas and nudist beaches. That is also recommend in this cold time of year: visiting a really good sauna in the Netherlands :)
we did the sauna thing in berlin and it was awesome. we're looking forward to checking out some of the saunas here in the netherlands.
americans are very modest when it comes to nudity. it's pretty ingrained in us from an early age. definitely seems like that isn't the case here in europe...
As an American, I would not use the word "modest" to describe Americans. Americans are obsessed with sex and everything is sexualized, so nudity is viewed as sexual in most of American culture. Especially among the younger generation that have grown up and been indoctried in the American pornography culture.
I find it sad and wish Americans could have more of a European style view on non sexual social nudity, like nude beeches.
Great video! Relaxing naked outdoors is incredible. Were there signs at any shops/restaurants saying whether or not they're clothing optional?
we didn't get close enough to any to check, but our research showed that many of the cafes in the village (if not all of them) are clothing optional. we were surprised that the people sitting outside the cafe in the video were fully clothed.
Greetings from Germany… I’ve been living here for 25 years and became a citizen about a dozen years ago.
With few exceptions, my nudist experience has been limited to various saunas in Germany, until last year. I was so self conscious about bumping into someone I knew my first time, that I traveled two and a half hours from home to ensure anonymity. I was even embarrassed at the counter to pay for admission to the sauna (as opposed to the pool). I was also nervous about suddenly becoming aroused. I think that the initial nervousness solved that issue. Within the first few minutes, I noticed this huge house of a guy chatting with the Saunameister. What I quickly learned is that the atmosphere is very laid back, and there is a lot of camaraderie, both among strangers and friends. Also, it was comforting to experience that all shapes and sizes (and a broad range of ages) of people go to the sauna. Definitely not limited to those who fit some aesthetic stereotype. I still have days when I’m more self conscious and ones where I’m more self confident. The experience does destigmatize the human body. Fast forward several years, and I’m comfortable to visit the sauna literally five minutes from my house, sufficiently unconcerned about bumping into neighbors.
Last year, I started taking weekend bike trips. As the weather got warmer, I thought that it would be nice to go for a swim to cool off midway. But the thought about getting changed and how to manage my valuables seemed like a real hassle. So, as a purely practical matter, I decided to try the nudist beach (here, called FKK, which means Freikörperkultur „free body culture“). Not only was it practical, but quite enjoyable, too. What a huge convenience not to need a changing room. Also, it is much easier to manage my bicycle and valuables. And, I feel a lot safer leaving my things on a somewhat secluded beach, that is less crowded and populated entirely by naked people. While I still tend to be more on the modest side, I think that I’m spoiled when it comes to swimming, I find it infinitely more enjoyable to be in the water without a swimsuit.

Oh, one question came up : At what temperature do you set the airco in your car?
when we had a car and could control it easily, it was usually 74 F (23 C) but in the rental car here it was barely on. just the fan or windows!

@@buncharted Sure, I expected that question about me asking. I heard a lot of airco-policy in US buildings and that is usually is set very low ( 18 - 20 C ) , so I wanted to know about your preference and if that coincided with those policies. Thanks for answering my question.

I'm visiting nude beaches for over 25 years. All over the Netherlands and spain. Especially like Gran Canaria...
I live near the (Dutch) beach, but I usually visit it in the fall, winter and spring. So a bit cold to go nude :). But I love saunas and they usually are in the nude in the Netherlands. Extremely relaxing!

I go to naturist beaches and campsites and my experience is that when you go to restaurants or shops on those sites most people put on some clothes. It’ll probably be some unconscious kind of hygiene thing I think.
It's been a few years now, but I used to go to nude beaches all the time. There was one a couple of hours from home that I would go to three or four times every summer. I also had a job that required a lot of travel and I made it a point to visit any nude beaches nearby. Now I live in Florida, the Sunshine State and nudist paradise, and the closest nude beach is a 6-hour drive away. 😒
I’ve been a few times but not too often, beaches are not my favorite place to be. Good thing is that on nudebeaches there is a much relaxter atmosphere. Not the normal party atmosphere.
In Europe we are a bit more relaxed with nudity than the Americans are in general, so cudos to you for being open for it.
You know there are over 100 nude beaches (both official and unofficial) in the Netherlands?

In Kroatië there are a lot of nude campings in summer they are great to have a vacation. Or a long weekend in a dutch outdoor sauna with hotel
I've been visiting nude beaches for the past 32 years, at home I spend 90% of the day nude.
The only time I ware clothes is when I'm working and shopping.
Been often on nude beaches and of course in several sauna/spa. Even went skinny dipping in mountain laked: yeah, it feels fvery free but also very very cold. It is natural, to be nude is something quite different from being naked.

It is the most natural thing you can do. And yes, regularly visit them, though I dislike Vrouwenpolder. It isn't my scene at all.
That said, Germany has some of the best.

The beach at Callantsoog in the top of Noord Holland in the Netherlands was the first official nude beach by law , the about 1 km long beautiful sand beach was given free for nude recreation in 1974. My wife and I and our two children went there for many years and we owned a large stormy fast tent on a camping in the dunes. Before 1974 at was by low forbidden to go on naked in public, but nudist people find there secrets spots every where. Some nudist community's had there own camping's but that had nothing to do whit freedom. Now days there are free nudist beaches every where at the west coast of the Netherlands. Look at the the tourist information side. Enjoy your freedom.
Been to a couple, but it's nothing special to me, and I'm not really a beach person. I'd rather go to a beach that's a bit more busy, so there's facilities all around. Especially when I'm in Spain, I like to eat. I love Spanish cuisine!

My wife and I went to a nude beach in Greece which was also very very nice.
Very nice video. Nude beaches and other clothing option facilities are really fun. Most are just peaceful and inviting with friendly people to socialize with. You should try a nude cruise with Bare Necessities inc. They charter an entire Carnival ship for the week. No kids. Just 2000 naked people having fun. I and my wife have been on 5 so far.

Naked and hangry, nangry? 😊 I would hate to be the one that runs the grill or the fries in the naked McDonald’s. I wouldn’t go to a nude beach, mostly because I wouldn’t want to be confused with a beached whale. 😂

Nude beaches in the netherlands. I have one not too far from my home at the Noord Aa in Zoetermeer and I've been there often. People there if you get to know them are cool. We will watch out for each other. At first I took my backpack to an older couple. Can you watch my bag cause I want to go swimming. Sure. But I soon found out you don't have to do that.
The regulars know each other and they can spot trouble from a mile away. I was kind of new and looking at my phone and the sun was on my screen so tilted it vertical. 1 Minute later a woman came up to me. What are you doing, are you taking pictures? No just checking weather report, news and messages and had the sun on my screen. But it looked like I could be taking pictures and wasn't aware of it. I was warned and it made sense.
I think of it like this. When you see a beautiful flower or a butterfly, are you gonna look away? No. Everyone looks at each other with or without clothes and it's fine. But just don't make it uncomfortable/weird for someone by staring or comments. Show respect.
