The Momotaro family were all born and raised in Japan!
Momotaro (father) was born on October 18, 2000
He came to the Kyoto City Zoo in 2010.
Genki (mother) was born on June 24, 1986.
I was born in Kyoto and came back to Kyoto.
Gentaro (eldest son), born on December 21, 2011
Momotaro and Genki's first child
Kintaro (second son) born December 19, 2018
The baby gorilla who is an idol.

I love this little family. Momotaro is a loving dad , did you see his big smile on his face when he was playing with Kintaro and his other son Gentaro, and Kintaro has so much energy, even as a infant, he is so smart and cute and funny 😁. I could watch them all day.
モモタロウが子供たちと遊ぶシーンが微笑ましく、ゲンタロウの成長にとても意味のある時間です。
いつか、ゲンタロウはこのファミリーから出て新しいファミリーを作るようになるのでしょう。

Mo is my favorite. His expressions and those eyes say everything. He loves his family.
It's hard to believe momot is only 20 years old,and has a son gentaro who is 9 years old.Great to see him playing with his 👦,they need their dad.Momot is a beautiful silver back gorilla,koyto zoo should be very proud of him.

It’s amazing I thought that he was 20 how long do they live? He amazes me by his beauty and strength. He has made himself a beautiful family his boys are going to look just like him.
The oldest male gorilla is Ozoum or Ozzie, who turned 60 this year.
The oldest female gorilla is Fatou, who is 63-64 (Born circa 1957) this year.
Previously Colo was the previous record holder, as well as the first gorilla born in captivity. Sadly she is no longer with us.
I just watched the only albino gorilla Snowflake he lived nearly 40 years. He was also the male gorilla and he was big. I think you take care of anything your animals will live longer.

This is definitely in my top five videos. 🦍🦍🦍. The moment when Gentaro Momontaro, and Kintaro we're all in the small Pen together, with Momo's giant hands gently rubbing and scratching his Son's, absolutely priceless and amazing. The amount of respect the boys have for Dad as well, because as soon as Dad gets up they both sit and stay very still 😀.

Momotaro is always so serious, so it's good that he has two child gorillas to make him play. Gentaro knows just how to poke him to incite him to play. Love the scene @6:44 when Kintaro joins in.

The Kyoto Zoo posts their gorilla troupe on UTube, and as fun as they are to watch, they are not nearly as beautiful as The Momotaros! Genki, Momotaro and sons are exceptionally helthy-looking; their fur is silky and thick, they have exceptionally beautiful faces which are very distinguishable and they are extrodinarily aware of their surroundings, each other's feelings and needs and they also seem to enjoy their zoo keepers AND (Kintaro, especially) love performing for the men, women and children who come to watch them daily!!!

Can’t Japan arrange a wildlife reserve park/zoo for large animals like the gorillas? In the wild, a family of gorillas, one male and his family, have an area about the size of 1/3 of Manhattan to roam free in. They’re all copied up in their apartment day after day with no change of scenery. 😢 A large nature reserve surrounding their apartment would be nice, giving them a nice large area to roam and explore each day. Like even the size of a few city blocks would awesome.

And also why not more live plants in their yard space, and like a nice large tree, maybe even a fruiting flowering one for them to enjoy the seasons more, with falling leaves, flowers in spring and fruit to eat in summer 💛🌸‼️
Kintaro really enjoys pulling them out. I’m glad they keep planting them and don’t use shock wire to protect plants.

I didn’t know dad played that much with the baby, who I love.but he’s alwYs checking his privates. Dad has actually moved more in these videos than I’ve seen in the last 6 months. He’s very attentive. I’d like to see him playing now that he’s a bit tougher now Dad has such big clunky hands and look heavy.
How adorable is that! I've never seen Big Daddy do anything mean to his children. He's so gentle with him. So adorable! How can they kill these beautiful animals!
Mountain gorillas in the wild sleep in a heavily foliage’s areas. Hard floor is not any more comfortable for them than it is for us. Why can’t their family have bedding for sleeping; like pillowed mats? And how about a second floor to their indoor house: the first floor for daytime indoors when it’s cold or raining or snowing out, with gay and large throw pillows, and a second floor with mats for sleeping? And also, upstairs and or downstairs, a low table with sitting pillows for when their hanging out, sitting around. So they can hang and discuss things amongst themselves. More comfort for them, more space to move around and occupy, and more interactive activities for them.
Also, it’s too cold for them to not be allowed to go inside in winter. Also, how about a shower for them outside for summertime.

He pulled him in wrestling and Kintaro either bit or pinched his nipple, hurting it. Babies do same to moms but they are used to it. He doubt he was teaching breast feeding.

Why do the Gorillaz play in each other private area
Why are they always playing with the baby's bottom.
It’s nature, they sniff and touch genital areas as a form of communication. It’s not for always for sex. It may be a medication they were given, it may be changes in hormones. The father is not asking for sex. As for the breast, Kintaro pinched or bit / hurt his nipple. They do same to mothers but moms are more used to it.
@Camouflage Kumquat I haven't projected bugger-all. I made one simple comment. I call it sex, what do you call it? Sex is a word that describes copulation but it also encompasses additional sexual acts simply for pleasure. Copulation is to procreate but animals, including Gorillas, will have sex for pleasure alone. Pleasure with same sex partners and juveniles as well. Maybe you should read up on the subject and you wouldn't have any reason to be so critical.

I could quote many scientific journals that describe animal copulation as "having sex". They also compare it to human sex, which isn't all that different in procuring and performing the act itself. So, using the word "sex" in the same sentence as Gorilla is not wrong or improper.
Personally I don't care to watch an entire video about Gorillas having, or looking for, or gesturing for sex. Yes, it's called sex. It's probably a case of you not being able to interpret the signs, signals, or even the activity of the gorillas in that video. I'm not a prude either, I know that animals have sex and copulate but I don't really care to watch an entire video centered around that subject. It does not appeal to me. Do you like watching Gorillas having sex, especially with juveniles? That is what they do, as many species, including humans do, but it does not appeal to me to watch it. Next you'll say that I am anti-homosexual, I am not. Human juvenile sex is naturally something different. Maybe that's why you're so upset with me about my comment?
Another point I would like to make is that I do not have a dirty mind, as you have described it, it is merely curious and likes to learn, but not from CZcams people who really don't know what they are talking about.

@@yoo_hoo_anyone_there I know you were not answering to me but I must ask, if you don’t like watching an entire video of gorilla’s playing or as you assumed, having sex, then why are you watching? Just wondering. Having sex is a natural event in all species. As I mentioned above, the act of smelling, touching the bottom of little ones or even grown gorillas is a form of communicating health issues, testosterone as they get older, medications, multiple things and yes, to see if the female is in estrus and ready to breed again. I find all these videos and gorillas actions fascinating myself and could watch them all day. Hope you find something that doesn’t disturb you so you can enjoy too. I wish you the best.

There was one particular video that I found offensive and not necessary to devote an entire video to. Entire video. I may have seen things you didn't. However, just for your information, I have watched many gorilla videos. I've gone on day-long binges and enjoy them very much. If you know anything about the German made "Steiff" stuffed animals, which are a highly prized and expensive collector's items, you will know how much these gorillas have influenced me when I tell you that I've purchased, at great expense, 4 lovely gorillas. Crazy? Yeah, maybe. That's to let you know how much these animals have influenced me. The gentle giants.
