- In 1994, Melissa Etheridge toured the world after releasing her 4th and quadruple-platinum album Yes I Am. It's also the year when I saw her in my hometown (Groningen/The Netherlands) with precisely this show and I've been a fan ever since. This is an epic show: Melissa was on top of the world with a string of hits, stadium concerts, world tour, people throwing themselves on the stage. I tried my best to restore audio and visuals of this video as it origins from a hissing VHS tape. Songs: Come to My Window, No Souvenirs, Yes I Am, If I Wanted To, Don't You Need, Similar Features, Dance Without Sleeping, Ain't It Heavy, Occasionally, You Can Sleep While I Drive, Chrome Plated Heart, All American Girl, Silent Legacy Play, Ruins, Royal Station 4/16, I'm the Only One, Must Be Crazy for Me, Bring Me Some Water, Maggie May (Rod Stewart cover). The concert ended with 2 encores which are not included: Like The Way I Do and Talking To My Angel. Why do I tell you this? So that you know this was - per usual - a 2 hours + show. she is a wonderful person to speak with worked for her a few times but few years back me and my daughter went to see her together and got in front row i got to enjoy the show yes i m indy indiana state fair grounds and not work and we had a blast good memory there she also has some BEAUTIFUL GUITARS and really knows how to play she is honest a breath of fresh air thank u for great shows you have put on
Some of us Long Beach,CA people were fortunate to see her play at a little bar...every week..for years...she always gave it her all...we knew she would be a Rock Star!!

I was only 15 when this was recorded! (OMG! I'm old!) But I jumped on 1996 with the "Your Little Secret" tour! It was one of the best days!
I saw this concert twice. Melissa is still the artist I have seen live the most. Coming a second close is Jason Isbell.

I saw her on this tour at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, she rocked that crowd, hard. The energy in that place was intense. My girlfriend surprised me with tickets. The woman's restroom was a wild scene, so much so that I felt bad for any woman that went in there to actually use the bathroom.
I saw Melissa July 3 1994, but she was opening for the Eagles "Hell Freezes Over" Tour at Texas Stadium. I did not know her name at the time but recognized a song or two, she was impressive!
Saw her on that same tour in Miami at the Orange Bowl, saw her again a year later at the Jackie Gleason Theatre, managed to get up front, very exciting!

Saw her at Memorial Auditorium in Burlington VT for Brave and Crazy tour, again for ME on the side of a ski slope and just last summer for the medicine show tour. The first show it was a tiny venue and everyone sat through the show EXCEPT me. Yeah I sat out of respect for others during the slower songs (not many from those first couple albums) but HOW can you sit through tunes like Bring Me Some Water?!!! This was also before THIS tour so this simple young country boy had no clue about her sexual orientation nor did I care, but she sang a few songs "to me" and I felt something from those EYES, those looks she gives. Nieve and happy I was and got such a kick out of finding out what I was picking up, she certainly wasn't laying down. 😂. Oh to go back, pre internet, young and worry free. My wife and 8yo daughter came to the last one with me and we "rushed the stage" or walked up the isle to the stage for her to play the drums and do her last couple songs. She again sang to me and my daughter, almost THIRTY YEARS later, much has changed for me and the world around us but one things for sure MELISSA STILL ROCKS! 🤍🤍🤍

Just listening to this brings back so many memories of cruising around town with her cassette tape playing through the dashboard speakers. Blasting, of course. Singing at the top of my lungs. Wow!
