One of the rare or better the only live performance of "the weakness in me" from melissa - Cover of Joan Amatrading in this concert. I love this version. When I bought this DVD in the middle of 2000 I was a little bit disappointed that this concert was w/o band. I now approximately 20 years later I'm so happy, because you see what an incredible musician, singer & guitar player Melissa is. ❤️🙏

Hey Hester. I've this astonishing media collection of Ms Thing I no longer want to carry. From the beginning, incredible music rarities you couldn't buy, autographed stuff, cd, vhs and pro beta videos of, well, everything recorded. If we can figure some way to get them to someone who wants them.... otherwise, they go off to not be heard nor seen - and I suspect some of it is close to one of a kind. Used to dig her performances till about 2007 or thereabouts. Used to be in her fan club, chose to let it go. How can we connect to find a lucky person who might want it all? Hi C, Sounds like a nice collection you got, but ...of whom? I guess of Melissa Etheridge? 😬If so, I’d love to youtubilize your material so indeed the world can see it. With regards to the video tapes; have you looked at them recently? Usually the quality is very bad as the material of VHS tapes deteriorates over the years. I mean just take a look at the Woodstock concert from 1993: that’s from VHS and it’s the best I could make from it. If you have any stuff on DVD, that would be much better, and easier to youtubilize🙂 PS my email is hessepes@gmail.com
C Lombard, Sounds like you have an awesome collection of Melissa. I’ve been following her career since the 1980s. She and I are of a similar age. I’m almost 60, and still love her music. And, uh...still so crushed out on her, my head spins. Until now, I couldn’t have imagined such a devoted fan as you were, just stopping like that. And wanting to walk away. But, I guess sometimes, people outgrow former loves. Me,...whenever I’ve let someone or something go, there’s claw marks all over it. 😳. I wish I’d have been the Superfan you were. But aside from a short autobiography, buying all her music when I heard about a new album, going to some heartbreaking (my heart 💜) concerts with then current Lovers, and cursing the Fates that a floor space near her Performance stage would be as close as I’d ever get to meeting Melissa.
Oh well. I have her music, her likeness on my wall, and videos. There’s at least one concert video I saw recently, that I remember being at that concert. I’m good. Sorry if I bothered or bored you. Much luck in finding a home for all those tangible MLE memories.

All I can say....I wanna come over and crawl inside your window. I would love to be a New friend. My life is so similar. Yep, so the talent show my Jr. year in H.S. And yep,, heading the applauding and yelling...I remember thinking...I like this..no..I love this..I'm gonna do this! I did..took off from Maine in my orange and black convertible VW. Nashville..23 years working singing Demos for Tree Publishing, Tom Paul Glaiser and Jack Clement. My manager, publisher, producer, was John Hurley ( Son of a Preacher Man). I'm not trying to impress you..it's just that I moved back to Maine and took care of both parents until their deaths..now..I am alone and out of sorts. Even if you did not read this..I made believe I talked to you and you played a few then passed the 12 string to me. I said to you, "I was a stalker too! It's quite obvious in my songs. Oh we laughed a lot too! I just, simply love your laugh! You are sweet, cause YOU are real. Thanks to your awesome parents. They are hero's. Whew...I feel better, much better. May you and your beautiful family be smothered in love, unwrapped in safety
