  • I visit my friend Roy and help him change the brake pads on my 1972 3/4 ton F250. It was harder than you would imagine. The caliper bolts were rusted on pretty good and took some time to break free. Thanks for watching!

I'm enjoying your videos. I had an F250 about the same year back in the 80s. Also drove my brothers 63 VW Bug in 68 when he was in the service. I was 18 at the time.

Your friend has a couple of nice trucks there ! I like the old Fords and yes have run into that same problem a couple of times . They're sometimes quite stubborn . Glad he could get you fixed up .

Yes, he had a ton over the years and been working on them forever. It's nice to have him for advice. Yes, they were on there preys bad and when we put everything back together the inside of the passenger side rim wash rubbing on the top of the caliper. Not sure why but it wasn't good. We had to add washers on top of the wheel spacer....

You most likely have checked this but if he used a pry bar on that side it may have pulled the caliper slightly up out of it's resting points if so it might settle in after driving .

How do you replace the caliper and rotor? One of my caliper is seized and I have no idea of replacing the rotor or caliper!?

What is the light all the way to the left below the steering wheel? My 72 F250 had that and I never figured out what it was for.

cars and trucks have to abide by emission laws that were in place when the original motor was built. if you swap a newer motor into an old truck, you have to follow that motors emission laws
