- The 1909 I was told is now worth $310,000.00. I's an unmarked stamp and you see the green lines in the back of the stamp shows that while printing the sheets were pilled on top of each other leaving the green lines. The 1923 was sold by Siegal galleries for $190,000.000. Had cancelation of Kansas city so I don't know if that made the price as such. I've seen it else where for $150,000.00. Check the measurement I provide in the video of each stamps and decide for yourself.

In 1847 the United States Government issued two stamps---a 10-cent stamp bearing a portrait of George Washington and a 5-cent stamp showing a picture of Benjamin Franklin.
1-cent? In what year Sir?
I have 4 of them one of them. Has kans stamped on it how do I find someone to buy
Chances of having the real deal is next to impossible.
Hola! Te esta estampilla de Franklin de 1 centavo, pero también de Washington y Lincoln. Cómo saber si es auténtica? Gracias.

Hi I have some stamps but not aware what the value is worth
Hola! Tengo esta misma estampilla de Franklin de 1 centavo. Cómo saber si es original?
Need a much finer gauge ruler made for philately on these stamps can’t use that thing woefully inaccurate unfortunately.
You lack of knowledge of philately is breathtaking. The variation in size of the design is due to whether printed on flat plate or rotary press. The best way to determine this is by comparison to known examples of stamps printed on the repective press. But the key feature after determining the press is to determine the perforation guage, which you do not mention at all! For example in the second stamp you describe there are two extremely common stamps that this is likely to be. The original (1923) stamp (scott 552) was flat press, perf 11x11; printed in the billions, worth essentially zero. A rotary press version (1926, scott 632) perf 11x10.5, is similarily common and worthless.
For a number of reasons, beyond this post, a very small number of rotary press stamps were issued perf 11. These (scott 594 and 596) differ slightly in size, and go for thousands. The rarer (596) goes for over $100k, but only a dozen of so are known to exist, mostly precanceled “Kansas City, Mo”.
If you have a perf 11 rotary press stamp (highly unlikely) then to sell it as such to anyone who is not a fool, it needs to be certified, which can cost as little as $25, well worh it if really 594 or 596, but a massive waste if actually 552. 99.999999% of perf 11 sheet stamps of this design are 552, so noone who knows anything will pay you more than a nickel for it.
The situation with the first stamp is similar...
انتا اول واحد محترم اشوفه بيفهم في موضوع الطوابع دي
يا رب تعرف تترجم الرسالة دي 😀😀😀
Hi, this is the most knowledgeable comment I have seen. My mother passed away and I found a large collection that my father had in storage. Do you know where I can go or a reputable source to know whether some may be worth anything? I'm at such a loss and not sure where to begin. Thank you so much for any advice.
some of the people selling bunk stamps on ebay make me laugh. but they are actually pretty clever.. they cant say they have been authenticated so instead they say something like "my great grandfather was a post master for 70 years and these were in his collection" to indirectly say they are authentic.. clever fuckers. i emailed one lady and told her I liked the scam she was pulling and if it had worked or not but she didnt message me back lol
shes obviously from kansas bc well she tweaked out of her mind spouting off this dumb shit.
it just keeps getting better and better lolol. her holding that little plastic ruler next to one of her stamps had me rolling lolol. it didnt even measure in mm
I have one of those stamps who can i contact for info

I HAVE 5 OF THE ONE ON THE RIGHT
Yo i have one what do i do???
Are mine good???
what makes you think it hasnt been handled and why do you think its worth more?
The 1909 I saw for 10 thousand dollars and still bidding going on. The 1923 was sold a few years ago by Siegal Galleries for 190 thousand. That's a total of 200 Thousand. I'm selling them together for 150 thousand and my math says that's lower. Giving the buyer 25% off the going price. Thank you!
@@Dorisanne13Antique I have an envelope mailed 1910 with this same coloring and size stamp. It does have an "I C " cancellation on it from Excelsior Springs, Missouri . I actually have quite a few Franklin and Washingtons as well as some Washington 2 cent, I believe . Lots of very old post cards some with photos. I am not sure where to start. How do I know who to trust ect.
I've got 50 of each of them

@@robstewart956 I had 2 buyers and they turned out to be scammers so no luck

The whole Washington Franklin series is a nightmare to identify.
That's for sure! Thanks for watching my video.
@Dorisanne13Antique what if the stamp comes with a postcard attached
I use digital clipers to measure.
The bleed through is not a good thing. That means for sure your stamp is not one of the more valuable. All graded copies have Kansas city pre cancel on them, all are darker green.
It's 310 thousand dollars in today's market how do I submit my stamps to the auction gallery
Try Cherry Stone Auction or Stamps @ siegelauctions.com
