Terminator T-1000000 Explained

- With terminator dark fate releasing in a few short months I wanted to revisit my explained series on the lore of terminator, obviously at the time of writing and recording this video, the canon for the universe is undoubtedly in question, as we don’t know what the new movie will establish.
However, that being said, today I wanted to explore the t-1000000 that was introduced first at terminator two, battle across time, a universal studios theme park experience. and, then it also appeared in nuclear twilight, warchild, as a brief cameo.
The addition itself is perhaps one of the more compelling yet overly farfetched, even in the terminator universe, however, it is one that actually makes sense in the context of the universe at large.
The t-1000000 or the t-meg, was skynets personal protector, a giant pool of mimetic pollyalloy, the same substance that the t-1000 from terminator judgment day, was made out of.
The t-meg however, didn’t reform into a humanoid structure, instead, it forms into a giant spider, non humanoid hunter killer.
Its main purpose, is to simply protect skynets central core, serving Skynet directly and essentially just being a personal bodyguard.

Skynet: the most advanced AI ever seen capable of time travel
Also Skynet : has the naming ability of a 10 year old
@Devan Hale its not a computer. It's an artificial intelligence. There is a massive difference.
Makes sense it'd arrive to that HK unit eventually, but don't forget it's a Terminator unit, thus should technically be going after humans. Also, for being the millionth (or somewhere close to that number) iteration of the Terminator units, it's not that dangerous due to just needing to be frozen (simple poly-alloy, so many iterations after the T-1000? Really?).
Vish Wah AI is a learning computer. also the terminators come off assembly lines so of course they are going to be numbered, why do you think cars have vin numbers?
Now we know that Skynet's, as an Artificial Intelligence, learn too much that it has died on the inside.

I experienced T2-3D when I went to Florida back in 2000 ... Was a very enjoyable little show, and the T-1 million was impressive ....
Skynet was located within a giant metallic pyramid, and the future war scenes were exciting and epic .... I STILL wish they could make a movie that would explore the final days of the war with the machines properly, and feature characters such as this.
A day in the life of T-Meg:
*stretches pawns.* "Bye honey!" *scratches back, grabs coat and goes to work*
"Soooo, what's on for today?"
*enter humans barging in with submachineguns*
"Sigh, those silly meatsacks."

T-Meg yawns: "Another day at the office... Sigh. I really wonder what is more out there. Time for a carreer change."
@@Jejking thats funny as hell but considering it's the bodyguard of skynet, im pretty sure skynet would show it stuff like hey look at this new terminator model im killing the meatsacks with, it would be content to literally guard skynets core as thats a very big role and also he could be used a siege weapon if skynet ever truly wanted to break the humans and end the war, i think of skynet much likethe machines in matrix but skynet is a mystery we've never really seen what it can do

The rule of "Disregard everything after T2" applies yet again.
@A Frustrated Gamer For me, it started in 2009 with Star Trek. I didn't mind T3. Salvation and Genisys, however....
T4 blows T3 out the water.
James Cameron himself wrote and directed the Universal Studios 3D attraction. It starred Arnold Schwarzenneger, Linda Hamilton, Edward Furlong, and Robert Patrick all reprising their roles and the line at the ride gave us a tour and company history of Cyberdyne.
Making this 3D attraction got James Cameron into making 3D flicks and he wanted to make a feature length one for years and it took him over a decade before he got his wish and he made Avatar.
@@Astrialx T3 was pretty bad. T4 I actually think is underrated and thought it was great that they moved away from the old formula that was getting pretty stale ( time travel to protect/kill Sarah/John) and showed us some of the future war.
@@wallacewallaby5782 That's what I said....
No guns makes sense. The "core" is skynets brain. One wrong shot and the bodyguard does the resistances job for them. Scalpel vs hammer type thing.
If Skynet itself is controlling it, then it would never make such a monumental mistake. It would have safeguards in place, programmed in, to not allow it to fire anywhere near the direction of the core. Additionally, the core would be very heavily armored with the absolute best materials that skynet could develop.

Good to have these back ....
I think the reason the T-Meg has only stabbing weapons is most likely because it prevents it from taking out the skynet core by accident
lloyd9710 Or at least greatly reduces that possibility
Why would it ever try to take out the Skynet core? No other liquid metal terminator has ever been reprogrammed and used by the resistance. However, if it does have super strength and the ability to morph in to stabbing weapons, what's to stop it from heavily damaging or destroying the core? In the new movie, we also see a Terminator made of an inner endoskeleton with a liquid metal skin made from nano robots. If skynet has the ability to create such a terminator, then why wouldn't it apply it's best and most effective and deadly tech to the machine that protects it's central core? Especially since the resistance is too stupid to figure out how to capture and reprogram a liquid metal/nano based terminator...
@@Bird76Mojo76 I believe they mean theres no chance for stray shots to accidentally hit the core
@@Bird76Mojo76 technically it's not Skynet anymore as that timeline has been dissolved. It is now Legion that makes terminators.
If it’s supposed to protect the core of Skynet then maybe it was designed to literal. It can ONLY protect Skynet but doesn’t fight back because, in a computer mind, if it misses it runs the risk of causing further harm. It would explain the lack of projectiles.
makes sense
The T1000-like abilities would also make it possible to actually use every single surface throughout its "body" as a possible weapon system, as the "fluid" can literally be used as a "spear" for any amount of ground troops - consider it the ultimate in anti-personnel warfare against the human Resistance. The increased size probably just means a larger surface and therefore the ability to handle a larger group of "enemy units". Not to mention that the fluid could also be used as an unending source of "flechette" ammo. I've run across the reference of nano-particles as weapons in sci-fi literature, so it would not be that much of a stretch to consider that the "spider" does indeed have projectile weaponry, but not just the same kind of weaponry as the other more conventional hunter killers, but rather the unconventional use of whatever it has (and which doesn't pose a threat to SkyNet's inner sanctum). :)
Using logic and sense in a CZcams comment section?
I'm calling the police.
Technically this thing could just flatten itself on the floor and become a liquid minefield, stabbing anything that steps on it, A human would simply just die by this, and a T-888 or T-X would either just fall down on even more spikes made by this thing because of their endoskeletons, or get reprogrammed by the metal as seen with the T-1000 in Genisys.
Its a machine, it would simply not fire in a direction that could damage skynet. :P
I thought it was a joke at first. This is the first I've heard of the T-1000000. Weird that they went with a spider design. Kind of seems out of place. Killed by the classic popsicle move from T2. What a bad design choice by Skynet to place it next to huge cooling systems. Not too smart there Skynet.

I loved Battle Across Time. Even that short amount of footage with ropy effects was closer to what I wanted from a real Terminator 3, and it's a shame that Cameron didn't develop it further like he said he was going to in the 'making of' documentary.

THE FIRST MINUTES I LAY EYE ON THE NAME OF THIS TERMINATOR I SAY

It would be interesting if it could separate some of the liquid metal from itself forming a few t-1000’s for backup. Seems like a lot of wasted metal to me
Thanks for responding!! That’s pretty cool. I actually did think of that but I figured no one would want to read that much lol. I looked at it this way: there are a couple of times that we see the t1000 turn into pure liquid metal, along with its cpu...and still survive. Two good examples are when it’s imitating the floor in the mental hospital, and the second is obviously when it is frozen and then shot into a million tiny pieces. In both cases the cpu must have been pure liquid metal. It’s because of things like that that I feel that if a t1000 had spare CPU’s onboard that it probably could split itself into 3 separate machines. All it would then take is for the t-million to also have a reserve of CPU’s to use for only making these defense t-1000s. Separate a bit of metal and one of the spare chips and I think it would take the form of whatever it was programmed to.
I feel like I’ve now put more thought into this thing than the people who wrote it did lol. But it seems possible...as much as any completely made up thing does anyways😂😂
What we're doing now is pure "fan-fiction",and its cool, why not...?
Yeah, with advanced tech t1000 seems to be made, probably they discovered some different cpu system that is not a silicon square with 4 cores! So who knows? But anyway cool idea for these liquid metal mofo's to divide into main thug, and few mini "sidekicks"...

2:40. Actually. Skynet did not have a centralized core location. But if it did. Then such a Terminator would be perfectly suited. And not flawed at all. As you are under estimating the true ability of liquid metal terminators. Not to be confused with the nano machine structures that bond to an endoskeleton. Like Terminator 4 and 5. Sure Terminator 2 and 3 showcased a very small fraction of the liquid metal abilities. As well as the small cameo in Terminator 4. And of course the T-1,000,000 it's self. But If the previous uses of this type of Terminator are any indication. Then it has yet to be seen the true terror this technology should inspire. As it is far more insidious and effective then even the imagination of James Cameron. #1. The ability to turn into an aerosol. Which cannot be scene smelt, tasted, heard or touched. And can be absorbed through any orifice and even the skin. To cause instant Paralysis, Death, And or control of the subject. Human or Machine. Whether or not it was still alive. Facilitating communication, hallucination and disinformation. #2. Mimic any color of light. Which is a multi-layered ability. So even in its solid form. It can become completely transparent looking. Putting to shame the cloak of the Predator. So even when you can see it you can't even see it. In any spectrum of light. As it has at least three different mechanisms four stealth in its physical form. Where it can 1 bend light around it. 2 display in front of it what is behind it. Or 3. Allow the light to literally pass right through it. And can utilize all three at the same time to achieve the greatest effect. #3. Can take any shape or form. This is another multi-layer ability. 1. Can mimic any object. So that it does not have to rely on its stealth technologies. For Energy efficiency over time. 2. Has more surface area. Giving it much much greater energy production capability. Giving it the ability to form large effective energy weapons. 3 With both more surface area and energy production capability. Comes ultra high intelligence. Second only to Skynet itself. Making it smarter then the combined human population and friendly AI. 4 With its large surface area. It can form an almost impenetrable protective shield around the Skynet Central Core. Susceptible to none but the highest energy weapons. And if specifically concentrated in one location. Is effective against even that. #4. Can form up to a 1,000,000 stabbing weapons simultaneously. Capable of extending out for tens of miles. With the ability to curve their trajectories. Tracking targets with inescapable precision. #5. Sensory abilities. Utilizing small sections of it's self. To create all manner of observation and detection drones and satellites. Around itself and in orbit. With the ability to see all EM spectrums. And can smell and taste hear and feel the atmosphere with all exposed surface area. And while it's default form is a large spider. To inspire a primal fear within humans. Can become any manner of animals real or imagined. Like a T-Rex, Megalodon or (Skipperyboo. An imaginary terrifying beast.) To say the T-1,000,000 is OP. Is the understatement of a lifetime. It is a God among machines. As far as I know it has No "Design Floss". The only real way to destroy it is with a thermonuclear detonation. That would have to be so powerful it would destroy most of the planet anyway. That is the true function of the T-1,000,000. Is as a Target. That if successfully destroyed. Would also mean the definite destruction of Humanity. So yeah you severely underestimate the abilities of liquid metal terminators. Especially the T-1,000,000. I mean what kind of Terminator would you imagine be guarding Skynet itself. But as We know that's just a trap.
Great video though.
This thing sounds more like an extension of Skynet than a guard.
Love your explained series. Better than the toxic movies themselves.
I dont care what the press or the producers say what iis cannon or not, I'm just gonna interpret the movies as alternate timelines and there nothing anyone can do to change my mind.
Works for me with Ridley Scott this last decade. Two Androids, One Flute really wasn't what I signed up for.
Seems kind of pointless. Couldn't a bunch of T-1000's just combine together to make the same thing? Like a terminator Voltron lol
I get the idea of No firearms/explosives though. It's there to protect something so you don't want to risk destroying by collateral damage.
Yeah ironically the Terminator TV Series, has a T1001 that actually actively function in 2 seperate parts so it can monitor a location while the main bulk of the unit is free to move around, but can recombine if needed. (Human Mimic & Fish Mimic respectively) which is only an extention of the simplified part retrieval T1000 uses. So yeah.... But that would be too fun a thing for the films.... we need Nano Dust & Polyalloy riding a Endoskeleton.
It all should of ended at salvation but nope. Gotta randomize names ruin a legendary film
So it can’t jump flatten itself covering a vast amount of distance and absorbing all it covers. I mean regurgitating the stuff it essentially swallows would be cool. Maybe shape itself into a more of a solid block and destroy things with amazing speeds. Using its own matter as projectiles of various sources able to manipulate electronic combine with its projectile. If smaller projectiles, could move around and sabotage air or ground vehicles turn them against the humans that are attacking. I mean there would be so many things you could do with essentially turning it into a evil Kirby. Which is kinda sweet.
nvr hears of it. thanks for the new leaf

I simply imagine no terminator movie exists after T3.
Yayness thank you, I'm sure I'm not the only one asked for this
I love the design, we should have seen more hints of less humanoid machines. Aldo I kind of agree with the no projectiles. If you're within skynet its self you don't want more projectiles flying around, and since its almost invincible it didn't really need it.
This was the Terminator 3 that we all wanted and never got.
I remember watching this at Universal Studios in Florida when I was a kid; 3-D that was ahead of its time, it was pretty fantastic. The attraction only exists in Japan now.
It does seem strange after T3 that a giant, nanobot form would completely lack ranged weapons. It doesn't even seem to be capable of transforming outside of a big blob or a spider monster, so any distance attacks could be easily hidden inside until needed.
Regardless, the nano-terminators would be pretty useless in "large sizes," since their biggest advantage would be shapeshifting into humanoid stealth shapes. That amount of nano-goo could have probably made a dozen T1000s, which would be horrifying to the first group to actually reach the AI core. Suddenly half your "allies" are stabbing the other half as more opponents slide out of the floors, walls, and ceilings as they got closer...
Regardless, cool video. I had never heard of the T-1000000000, so that was interesting.
The lack of projectiles sort of makes sense. If you have something standing between the main core and an armed group, you would need to limit anything passing, which I'm presuming the liquid unit would probably be able to stop, and also limit the collateral damage after the fight.
Imagine if you had an army of T8 hundreds in there. Skynet would probably be full of bullet holes if not recovering from damage from other weaponry.
Then again, everybody would have plasma rifles on the other side. Maybe they are counting on the element of surprise. Think of all the different ways that saying could kill people. The most efficient would be posing as a floor and then we're having everyone else like a tortilla 2 strangle them all. I could even form several stabbing weapons while they're all wrapped up.
The default spider form is very limiting. The T-1000000 could've just stayed in its fluid state and cover the whole Skynet base. Imagine the T-1000 asylum floor scene mixed with the ever transforming pyramid in AVP. All it have to do is wait for human intruders to pass by and spring countless spikes, claws, blades, trap doors and even thorny tentacles. Then grab the fallen weapons and change the lair's layout for the next wave of humans.
T-1000000.
Hmmmmm.
As a bodyguard I'd say it is very good. Perhaps accompanied with 100 T600s and a hoast of bomb and acid and freezer and the old energy weapon drones.
The name is just a nickname some humans gave it.. we have no Idea what Skynet designates it of course.
The Tmeg is good for a tourist theme park, but really excessive for movie base situations. It’s cleaver, but not really my thing for Terminator movies. I really like the content you provide anyone that just wants to listen in or shares the same ideas as you, Thank you Mr. H.
I remember the Universal experience. That was so cool.
Amen dude I remember it was cool as hell but everything was seen from far
@MrChunkyMaster From far?
It was so damn cool to have John Connor drop down from the ceiling right next to me. Awesome experience way back then.
@Knight Falcon I don’t remember that part unfortunately. All I do remember is when the T-1000000 came right up to me.
Known about the T-1,000,000 for a long time now, was expecting it to be some sort of god-like ultimate weapon that one shots every opponent.
Would love to see it in a DECENT Terminator film.
They took a little bit of the T1.000.000 into the model of the Rev-7 in Terminator Dark Fate
oh i forgot about this went a to universal studios a couple of times when i was about 13 was pretty awesome there was a bit in the show it's stabby arm leg thing looked like it was going right for your eyes :D got some great memories from those holidays to Orlando :)
If James cameron is ever going to make a new T7 movie, That T-Meg as a final boss better be inside it.
Thank you for answering my request to do another terminator video.
Your welcome
I actually enjoyed it back when I first saw it at universal studios. If it ever makes an appearance in the film series, it would be interesting to see if its full capabilities are shown to see why it was chosen as the main protector.
I hear the T-1,000,000 is number one on the most powerful terminator list
It was cool, would have been sooo dope seeing this in a all out future war only terminator film🔥🔥🔥
It’s also called the T-Meg. Back during the era of T-2, It was featured in a magazine that was full of Terminator concept art and unused designs. Some of the designs finally made it into the last Terminator movie. The 4 legged HK was one of the unused designs from the T-2.
