The scene where Charlotte meets her now elderly daughter is quite sad, actually. The old lady recognizes Charlotte says "mommy" (in German, of course) and then she passes away with Charlotte looking absolutely heartbroken.
So here's a funny thing. Mirrors used to be made with silver, that's why a vampires reflection couldn't be seen. Obviously as silver is valuable nowdays, it hasn't been used in mirror making in a long time. So vampires actually can see their reflection in modern mirrors.
Edit: This isn't some kind of golden absolutely necessary knowledge. Just something I considered a fun fact from older books focused on the Victorian aristocratic type vampire stories. So many buzzkills out there 🤣 Vampire weaknesses change by the authors will for what their fantasy monster creatures can and cannot do along with their limitations.

But what if it’s a serious movie, where the clothes absorb the wearer life. Like a witch/warlock vamp goes around and submits his/her enemies to wearing the garment. The garment imbues power to the witch/warlock vamp wearer from the lifeforce it has accumulated. Then some bajillions years pass and the garment gets found in a haunted laundromat and shenanigans start happening, like the souls in the garment start strangling people to be forcefully worn. And just for kicks, clotheslines are how people are able to free the trapt souls and destroy it, as we find out clothesline’s were created as a proper method of drying out the garment forcefully in the sun. You know. Just like there clothes relative, human vampires. Also a bunch of puns

Agreed. There was such a cool opportunity to go further. I wish they'd focused more on the backstories or world-building and less on the unraveling mind of the main vamp, Louise! All the silly parts all had to do with her and her obsession with Lena.

People hate on this movie but I think it's great. It's honestly just as good as Blade 1 & 2, Interview with a Vampire, Lost Boys, 30 Days of Night and Underworld.

So Louise was just selfish.
It seems to be a common story line to write where some immortal characters slowly get more jaded over the centuries instead of more wise. I guess I'd imagine maybe you'd be less emotional over time but I'd hope if I were able to experience that much life, I wouldn't be petty. Meh, it's fictional so who knows.
Maybe if immortality were real it would just drive that person insane like with Louise and how she turned the new girl bc she thought she was the reincarnation of her dead maker.

Wait so the cop is chasing the girl thinks he lost her sits next to what he believes to be a random girl and tells her the man she pickpocketed was a pimp? That makes absolutely no sense then he realizes she's the pick pocket? 1:35 is what I'm talking about. That sequence makes no sense at all unless he knows who she is when he sits down beside her.
He knew it it was her that's that's he did it, I watched the show and he actually liked her

It's like if your eyes got infected, are rotting to the point they need to be gouged out, and you fell into a coma, would you choose to be blind and alive or simply just die because life isn't worth living without sight?
Well you can't make that choice, you're unconscious and in a coma. Your family doesn't know what choice you want to make but they'll go through with the procedure anyway, they'll save your life and if you decide it's not worth it after you wake up you can always end it afterwards. Can't make the choice if you're unconscious so all they're doing is giving you the opportunity to wake up and decide based on the same 2 options you had when unconscious.

They made one stupid decision after another with the direction of the movie. they should have made her truly be the reincarnation of the vampire woman's lover. It would have been interesting to see her reactions to discovering that. they should have focused on the development of the lesbian relationship between the leader & the her in a dominant -submissive relationship, where she slowly learns to trust and submit to her. they should have given each of the vampires unique and complex personalities, which would be explored and also SHOWN flashbacks into their lives, instead of TELLING. they shouldn't have done the bullshit man hating lines about male vampires. they shouldn't have made the vampires into some cliche teen girls, who use their money to splurge. they should have shown a higher class of finery based on each of their backgrounds-----like exploring the lifestyle vampire character that was the archetype of the Hollywood Marilyn Monroe heartthrob. the whole police storyline was bullshit, but if they wanted to do that then it should have been a slower paced serious detective storyline showing the investigation taking place in stages. It could have been so much better. how do you ruin a vampire movie?
