I believe it was the right verdict. How did she know he did it? He threw the party, blocked off the area, but did he ignite the rocket or direct it at her? I didn't hear anyone say he did, I think she was just looking to blame someone and tried to use a home video of his from several years ago to get someone else to pay for her negligence. I agree with the judge, he shouldn't be held accountable when it was clear fireworks were going off.

This is why street fireworks are illegal in Australia. They're dangerous when not handled correctly, and even the smartest person, who thinks they know what they're doing, can have things go wrong.
Ignorance shouldn’t be a reason to sue.

As a guy who has raced motocross in the past. I chuckled about her oh so horrible “bike crash”. Then acts like a bottle rocket would’ve blown her head off then proceeds to show a video of one hitting a guy it the face and he walks away laughing. Clearly saw this as an excuse to get a check.

It's also nuts to bring your dog out during 4th of July. Critters get crazy and try to hide during fireworks. That could have caused her dog to panic and jump and make her lose control too. Plus it was a closed road, she should never have ridden through with her dog.

This was the correct verdict. The plaintiff has shown that she was hurt and that the bottle rocket was coming for. However, the evidence here shows that she DODGED it instead of getting hit from it. She hit a car and fell to her broken arm. This should be a lesson to everyone that we must be knowledgeable of what happens in such situations like this.
Sometimes forgiveness is better than money. If someone hurt me and he shows genuine remorse and he is college student i will forgive. In other news if you play with fire you will get burned.

Interesting. Anyone walking on the street assumes some risk. So if someone shoots up to the sky and the bullet happens to fall on someone's head and he dies. No intention to hurt, not directed at any person. Technically, gravity shares some of the blame. But is the shooter totally free of responsibility for the death? After all, this is a civil suit. There was no intention to harm anyone. But since injury has occurred, do you tell the injured to carry their cross?

The verdict was crazy. One, no one proved that the streets were blocked off. Two, the defendant was acting like your typical entitled spoiled brat throwing a temper tantrum.

Fireworks need to be banned in ALL residential and business areas. If you want to shoot f*cking fireworks, then you need to go to a field where there's absolutely NO houses, apartments or businesses around. I like 4th of July (I'm a veteran) but you can celebrate it without f*cking fireworks such as having a barbecue with friends and family. The same thing applies to new years.

I do agree with that verdict. Because she just assumed the risk. She went pass the guard thing. it is true dogs do get scared of those kind of noises. That is why people do have something to block the streets so people will be safe. She was aware that it was 4th of July. What did she inspect were they were going shoot off fireworks.
Last sentence is all gibberish, “inspect” vs “expect”, “were they were”…

the road was closed and she rode there but she hit a car on the road, so assuming the car was driving there. The car driving on a closed road is more responsible why is she not suing the car driver?.
Her story is full of inconsistencies. Her dog alerted her to the bottle rocket coming?? That would be impossible. The bottle rocket is very fast… the streets had multiple rockets going off which startled her dog.. that’s what I believe… I don’t think a bottle rocket caused her accident.

I can clearly see why this show didn't last very long. That judge's judgement is obviously impaired. In all of that show's cases where the plaintiffs were Black and the defendants were white, that judged claimed that the plaintiff did not have a case.
