USWNT overcome CANADA in CRAZY game to lift trophy! | SheBelieves Cup final USA v CANADA Reaction

The ISB crew reacts to the United States Women's National Team's victory over Canada in the SheBelievesCup final which led to another trophy for the USWNT. The game was very reminiscent of the teams' previous encounter at the CONCACAF W Gold Cup which also ended 2-2 with Canada equalizing on a late penalty before Naeher's heroics in the penalty shootout. Overall how would you rate Kilgore's performance as interim manager and the development of the team?!

Eshaana, I agree with your assessment : Alex Morgan's time is done, Sonnett isn't a starter, Albert must start from now on. I would add Coffey wasn't good, the backline was terrible. Alyssa Naeher made a dumb mistake on the 1st Canadian goal before redeeming herself in the PKs.

Smith had a really great second half - shades of 2022.
I felt that her first half; however, was pretty tentative and poor. Coach Hayes needs to figure out she is so in her head because US Soccer is obsessed with putting her as the face of women’s football.
I think Macario, Swanson, Rodman, Shaw and Horan with Coffey is a better formation to build up to Paris.
Let’s see if Williams gets in there as well. Morgan did fine and made some chances but she is playing a lot like she was these past two years in 2015-2016. Very in her head. Time to move on.

You guys should listen to other nations broadcast of your soccer team. The only player we really fear is Smith. The other players have quality, but all nations have that now. They don't have Sophia's kind of lightning speed, athleticism, and scoring ability. You may not WANT her to be the face of soccer for the US, but you could do a lot worse.
