That towpath used to be my bike ride route to work in the 80's. I used to get on at New Mills near Swizzels and then finish at Whaley basin. Brought back some memories. Thanks

I've walked that very route recently - pleasant scenery, even in these winter months. It took about 3 hours. I'm guessing the real-time narrowboat trip time would be about the same? Thanks for an interesting view.
