Hi Geoff great work mate, I used the Gaugemaster cloud backscenes and was very disappointed too! I will be taking them off at some point and painting them blue as to be honest the way my layout is that’s all I need. Great tutorial though and everything looks to have worked really well.
Good timing with those led lights, I’m just building my lower deck for the return loop and was starting to think about how to light it and will probably use that diffuser to.
Can’t wait for the continuation of the layout, cheers for now Geoff, John

Well done Geoff! They are looking really good and I like the way you have curved them as scene breaks. Hi Geoff - Really looking forwards to watching this one mate, it is like you have made it especially for me after my last video LOL.
So for a start I spoke to ID Backscenes about putting the backscene on whilst backboard was curved in shape and he told me you do not have to do this, which I have to say I was very sceptical of especially as it states in the instructions best to leave for a while before bending.
So having watched your video I am still amazed that you have no bubbles or creases as mine is full of them. Like you I purchased the premium ones and I took my time and did exactly as you have and when finished it looked great. Went back a couple of hours and it was full of bubbles and when I put it in place that is when the creases came out.
So apart from sticking it on with the back board in shape I have no idea where I went wrong apart from the fact that I found peeling off the backing and sticking down the backscreen a right pain.
I will be having another go, so wish me luck.
    Regards Chris

Hi Geoff. Just found your video, really helpful. I find Gaugemaster backscenes do lose their bubbles after a while but ID Premium are superior. One issue I have is when I start attaching the roll to the board by the time it gets to the end I find there is a slight incline in the paper which isn’t really noticeable but once it’s stuck it’s stuck!!! I try to use the ends and base of the ply as a guide but it always ends up slightly not level!!!

Hi Geoff. Nice video, the curved back scenes are very effective. With regards to the lighting, do you think it would be effective in lighting a layout if it was fixed to a standard height bedroom ceiling? I'm really struggling with light on my layout during the dreich winter days, had looked at light strips similar to this, but didn't want to get them and then it didn't cast enough light. Cheers, John.
