when i was rlly young (maybe like 6 at the oldest) my uncle recorded a valentine's day marathon block of the powerpuff girls, and amid all of the insane commercials he recorded on the tape was a little bumper ad for this specific episode. i've always had that like deep-seeded childhood media memory of seeing brak singing with fpj. seeing this video at 27 is like seeing a ghost. a really weird, stoned af ghost.
Perhaps a really stoned… space ghost? But for real, I randomly downloaded the audio to this when I was in high school and I put it on my iPod. I have really weird memories of this song when I was young too, it’s weird.
Grew up watching Space Ghost Coast to Coast, but damn. Any actor who is willing to participate in something so damn goofy has my undying respect. A lot of actors would turn their nose up at something like this.
When I was about 6, my parents wouldn’t let me watch Cartoon Network, but my dad would play clips of Brak frequently, this clip in particular. I remember watching this on a TV with my dad and thinking that this was so funny. It still holds up to this day as one of my fondest memories growing up. This never gets old.
